First time at Port Land Grill and we were very impressed with our surroundings for the evening. This time of year we ate inside and restaurant was decorated tastefully and very clean just thought the ladies room needed a remodel. Our waiter was impeccable as was the entire staff. Food was good not over the top though...we shared the tuna Napoleon and the Caesar salad and both were very good. For our entrees my husband had the center cut NY strip steak and he thought it was good but could have had a little more taste. I had the salmon which was very good but I thought there was too much rice and I did not like the whole cashew nuts. All in all we had a wonderful evening, thank you very much.

The atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was not especially for the price. Very disappointed in both of our meals. I ordered the chicken fried short rib and my wife ordered the porterhouse pork chop. Best part of the meal were the redneck egg rolls and even at that lacked flavor. I don’t know that I’ll be back which saddens me because I proposed to my wife there and we’ve been back many times since. Not a good value for the $.

The food, wine, and service were excellent. We had pepper jack pimento cheese and the red-neck egg rolls which were plenty for a table of 6. The entree steaks were prepared perfectly as were sides. We all particularly liked the blue cheese balsamic glaze sauce that came with the steaks. Mike was very attentive. We had dessert at home because we had two birthday cakes there. The restaurant doesn’t allow you to bring dessert or wine from home.

From the staff who greeted us upon entering to our wonderful waiter, Calvin to everyone else we encountered, our experience could not have been better! It was a special birthday and Portland Grille met all our expectations. Food was delicious…we each enjoyed everything we tasted. Will definitely be back!

The food was excellent, there were 6 of us and we all had a different seafood dish that was cooked perfect, and the side dishes complemented the fish. Excellent service, Branden was our waited, he explained the rentire menu and took very good care of us, we wern't rused at all. It was a great meal

Everything thing was great. If I had to be picky I would say make make the lights just a little brighter so we can see our food and the menu. Joe was our waiter and he was excellent.

Our dinners were excellent. My fiancee had the harbor island salmon with corn chowder, spinach and old bay. She raved that it was one of the best meals she ever had. I had the beef tenderloin which was also excellent. We normally don't have dessert, but split the pecan pie and it was light and we tasted the pecans and not overly sweet. Laura, our server, was pleasant, excellent and very knowledgeable. She definitely deserves a raise. Overall, can't speak highly enough about the port land grill.

Our experience was wonderful! Our server, Calvin, knew his menu and treated us like VIP's. My wife and I agreed that our steak, which we shared, was one of the best we've ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We dined outside on the deck by the water. It was a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

firs time eating here. server was very good/attentive, food was good (steak cooked as ordered) but green beans were just warm, not hot. twice baked potato was also warm and only got half the potato, not whole. drinks were made to order but no bread was offered nor on the menu(unless we missed it). Desserts were tasty, though didnt seem to be too fresh as cake was still cold from being in fridge. Overall, i would like to say i would definitely go back, but for the price charged, there are probably other restaurants that we would want to try first

Returned to PLG for first time since pandemic. Food and service excellent as we remembered. Our server “Haines” was awesome. Kept an eye on us but allowed us to enjoy a leisurely dinner. Egg rolls and crab cake appetizers were great. I had the duck, different preparation but was done perfectly, same for partner’s filet mignon. Definitely recommend PLG to anyone wanting a “fine” dining experience.

Dear friend in town was dying for filet mignon and this is where we went. Steak cooked to perfection, sides were on point all the way, a salad recommended by our fabulous waiter was spot on. I had flounder which was delicious. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere wonderful. I will not hesitate to bring anyone here (unless I don't like them, ha)

We had a wonderful experience here as we have always had in years past. The oyster appetizer and pimento with crackers were both perfect! The swordfish was delicious and large enough for both of us. The second entree was a bit dry so we mentioned it and both shared the ample portion of swordfish instead. They were gracious enough to comp the other entree. The servers were very helpful and gave good advice on the wine and food. We highly recommend the restaurant!

The red neck egg rolls were okay to me but my husband enjoyed them! I personally enjoyed the crab cake. The pork chop was delicious. The salmon itself could have been seasoned more! The coconut cake is a must have! My only regret is that I didn’t get two pieces of coconut cake. I would definitely go back!

This was my first time eating at Portland Grille. I had heard mixed reviews before going from friends and family who are locals. Our waiter was very personable and answered all of our menu questions. He was very apologetic when the order didn't come out as expected and did everything he could to make it right. The food itself was good, not great. The outdoor seating area is lovely.
