Service was very attentive. Felt caged in with so many tables so preferred a spot with the one small window. Food was good but too much sauce on both appie and mains. Wine excellent.
Wow, great experience and fantastic food. Definitely brings North Burnaby up a notch in terms of fine cuisine
The risotto was a bit blend, needed a bit of salt. But all the rest of the food was really great. Excellent portions and the service outstanding.
Owner clearly takes pride in the restaurant and checks in with customers in a non-intrusive way.
The ambiance, food, service and value were excellent!
excellent service and good quality of food. Will come back!
Repeat visit to this restaurant. Staff is ultra friendly and professional. Food is very consistent and delicious. Owner visits multiple times with customers to insure satisfaction. Always a very memorable visit.
Had such a wonderful night out at Portobello! So excited to know this little gem is just up the road. From the amazing food to the fun Italian music, this night was one to remember. The service was top notch - just the right amount of attention for a nice night out.
New Year’s Eve! Was amazing and the food was incredible
Great food, safe environment and easy to have an enjoyable meal!
Our waiter should find a different job. He was disinterested and not helpful.
Our Caesar salad was terrible. After complaining they did comp the salad. The rest of the dinner was good according to my friends. I had the Veal Parmigiana - I definitely have had better.
The evening would probably have been more enjoyable if we had had a different waiter.
The most charming staff and host; the best food; like a trip to Italy ...they are the real tthing !
First time and very impressed with food and service. Highly recommend!
Love this restaurant and the owners but the consistency has not been there the past two times we've gone. I absolutely love that they chill the salad plates but the time before this they were not chilled. Both times my meal arrived luke warm to the table. In addition the vegetables (all but the zucchini) were overcooked. I do not know if this is a result of being unable to staff the kitchen appropriately but it is disheartening. . I've had similar experiences in other restaurants lately as well.
Food would have been great if it had been hot. . there was a long wait between salad and main meal.
Food was excellent. Great addition to the neighbourhood.

Hidden Gem in Burnaby. Authentic Italian Food. I believe the owner is the chef and the wife makes the desserts. My wife and I went there on a Sunday night and it was actually pretty busy by the time we left. We had the Burrata, Mussels to start and Spaghetti Di Mare and Ossobucco for entrees. Tiramisu is homemade even the lady fingers. Everything was delicious and mouth watering. Our server Lubos provided us with excellent service. Very attentive and ensured that our wine glass was consistently filled. :) Go try it out, you won't be disappointed
So nice to have a white tablecloth restaurant back in the Heights at the Pear Tree location. Excellent service & ambience. Food was great, all around, for our party of 6. The portobello mushroom appetizer was divine. I'd go back just for that! We found the served tap water chlorine tasting, but our server replaced it with San Pellegrino on the house. Will definitely be back soon.
First time at the relocated location ( former PearTree). Same lovely ambiance in a quiet, warm setting. We had the 3 course meal ; great value and excellent quality. Our server Lubosch was special. It is rare to find a truly professional polished waiter these days. Lubosch was all that.
Highly recommend. Great Negroni too !
Amazing meal, plated very nicely as well. A large selection of different variety wines that are great for pairing. I came here for my birthday, very nice ambience and energy. Customer service matched the food, overall excellent experience.
Great food and outstanding service in a very nice setting. The Ossa buco was brilliant!
A quaint little restaurant in the Heights. Calamari to start was tasty and our pastas were good, though the rose sauce may have been a little heavy for my partner's taste. The complimentary rolls were very good as well. It's a small little restaurant and can get a little loud when it's busy, but the food, service, and overall experience was enjoyable.
Wonderful restaurant. The server we had was very attentive and provided fantastic service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will certainly dine there again in the future.
The service was over the top. Excellent food. Will definitely go back to try different dishes.
Very friendly staff, very good food at reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the home made Italian deserts.
Food and service are exceptional
It’s my second time there at the restaurant.
The restaurant is very nice & cozy and great atmosphere.
The service was great and the food was delicious.
We will definitely go back!
Excellent food, and service. Reasonable priced wine list.
Delicious authentic pasta, lovely ambiance and great service.
We will be back soon! First time customers and very impressed.
We love this restaurant but. . my meal was not hot. .and the offered pepper never arrived. Love that the salads are plated on cold plates but this time my salad was only lettuce with two small tomatoes. . in the past the mixed salad had more content. They have been in the past consistently good so this was perhaps an off night.
Fantastic service and great food. It’s like being in the old location but more comfortable
Excellent service and food! Will definitely visit again
Food and service was amazing!!!
Food was really good. Penne was really fresh and sausage came in huge pieces. Chocolate mousse was to die for. All in all a good experience
Our waiter was so attentive and friendly! The food was amazing. The gnocchi was divine, and the limon gelato is a must try!!
We were also graciously given a complimentary frangelico with a little chocolate treat! Best meal I’ve had in a very long time. Highly recommend!
Was a great dinner. Would come back again and again. Loved it.
This is the second time I've dined here but the first where the service was lacking; it took an hour to get our appetizer and when I asked the waiter to check on the status, he came back to tell me that he didn't have any information. The entire meal took 2 hours; it would have been longer if we'd decided to stay for dessert but we decided to cut our anniversary dinner short because considering how long it took for the appetizer and meal, I was concerned that ordering dessert and then waiting for the bill would have added far too much extra time to the evening. I also noticed the waiter was happy to spend time chatting with another table instead of checking in with us...frequent diners, maybe? Well, if you want infrequent diners to become regular customers, ignoring them is not the way to do it.
The food was great, the service was definitely lacking. Were they understaffed for whatever reason? Perhaps, but in that case why not let the patrons know ahead of time? Waiting as long as we did wouldn't have been a problem if I'd been warned there might be delays, it was the lack of communication which bothered me the most.
Everything turned out awesome , one of the best ravioli I had in Vancouver. The place is just right blend of cozy ,family owned, modern and upscale food and drinks.
Fantastic meal, service and ambience! It’s also always very nice to have the owner stop by your table to say hello and check up on you. Definitely will return!
Every dish was delicious and server was friendly and attentive. What a gem!
Amazing food and service. I felt comfortable and safe with the COVID protocols and will be coming back to try more of their amazing menu!
