Posta Ital Bar Cucina
Sold out of dishes by 8pm without notice from the waiter
Amazing little gem in port credit! Wonderful food and amazing wine selection!!!!!
The food was half great, but half ok. What really broke the deal for us was the environment. The music is annoying and too loud, talking to each other became very difficult. I'd recommend it if it was quieter, maybe I'll come back when the patio is open, but otherwise no thanks.
We had a great evening and food was excellent. Only comment would be that the tables are quite wide and it makes it harder to talk across the table. We were two couples and we talked to the person beside us more than normal and I think it was a combination of noise and table size. Still a Great place and will come again!
Food has progressively been less appealing each visit. Service is very slow. Too expensive for the level of food quality and service level. After 5 visit, likely my last. Too bad, had so much potential. Like the other place on the water here in Port Credit, great venue, poor food & sub par service.
Last night went to Posta for the first time for my moms birthday. This restaurant is amazing. The atmosphere , the service, and the food was outstanding. Will definitely go back again.
unsure, from lack of wine knowledge to delay, forgotten water, food was ok to parking not working I am unsure
Amazing food and service! Can't wait to return.
Our service was not great. We were offered dessert menus before we had our dinner, one of our orders was messed up, was never asked if we would like more drinks (we would have had more), take out containers that didn’t belong to us arrived at our table. We would have had dessert but the service took so long we just asked for our bills. The food was good but I would not recommend.
The antipasti was overpriced for what we received. Everyone at our table had pizza for their meal and it was delicious and decently priced. However, once desert came we had a few bites and noticed a bug in the cake slice. Our server apologized profusely but that doesn’t take away the fact that there was a bug in our food. I’m not sure if Posta would be first on my list for dinner choices but the main meal was good.
Amazing food. I grew up in Italy and this place serves some delicious southern Italian food. It is a bit pricy but you get what you pay for I guess ! It is a little too loud (but more so in the summer). Service is great !
My first visit at Posta will definitely not be my last. I was impressed from the very beginning starting with the décor and then the delicious food. Our waiter was exceptional! Attentive but not overbearing. Polite, knowledgeable and fabulous. Overall, a very wonderful experience.
The food was not good. Although our server and the service in general was great, the shrimp pasta was horrid as it smelt and tasted like it was not cooked properly or the meat had gone bad. What’s worse is that we paid $100 for the meal and it was horrible. The empty restaurant should’ve been an indication of the food quality.
Absolutely amazing!!! Service, foods and atmosphere place are unbelievably. A great place to enjoy with friends and family as well.
I really want to like this restaurant - it is beautifully done, has a great concept and is in a great location. However, it falls flat for me every time. For a restaurant who specializes in Italian cuisine, a cuisine which is rich and flavourful, it doesn’t quite hit the mark. I am never wowed by any of the dishes and for the price, it is definitely not worth it. I think the food could be much much better and it’s a shame because there is so much potential.
Great food, great service, great ambiance.
Parking is a little annoying but other than that it was perfect
Your servers need to be more attentive, learn how to open and present wine, and KNOW THE MENU including the specials!
This was a very nicely designed restaurant, and the staff was very nice. Me and my boyfriend were there on Valentines Day, and the menu was a set menu, but the items on the set menu weren’t very good. As a matter of fact the food tasted very bad with the exception of the steak. They should have left more options on the menu. The price for this subpar dinner was $75/person. I could’ve gotten an awesome tasting meal for much cheaper somewhere else. On a positive note, I thought the waitress and the other staff were awesome, and they said the regular menu has some really good options, so I will probably be back. Plus the decor and design of this restaurant is gorgeous, so I will give it another chance.
Valentines Day special menu. Duck pasta was not edible. Steak was thin and overcooked. Service was pleasant but very slow. Management was attentive and compensated us for the missteps however we will not recommend or return.
Food was great. Would be great if there was another dessert option. Food wait was slow but over all everything was nice.
I have been to posta many times but the last time I went on Valentine’s Day it was a complete and total disaster people that came more then 45 minutes after us were getting the 2nd course meal before us and we were just forgotten about. I will never be returning there for any special occasion again.
Good place and service wasn't bad, but it is too over priced for what you get!
The Valentines Night Dinner was very disappointing from the service to the food and the overall experience. We had to wait for 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table to offer a welcome drink. The food was mediocre at best, with my striploin served cold. Posta has some serious issues that need to be addressed before we will entertain the idea of returning.
Everything was wonderful, meal was very good.
Overall, our experiences at the restaurant were great and pleased.
Another great meal at Posta. This my wife and my go to place for a great meal.
Good was good, service was mediocre.
Our server didn’t even introduce himself
Overall I wasn’t very impressed with the food. It was okay. The buffalo mozzarella was good but the rest just okay. My son had the branzino and it was dry, the pizza I had was very salty. Service was okay. Restaurant is spacious and has nice decor.
Asked to pay my bill with my OpenTable rewards cheque’s and they didn’t honour them. Stating they didn’t know how to accept them. There wasn’t a single person in the restaurant that didn’t know how to accept cheque’s.
Won’t go back as there are many other Italian restaurants that offer better quality and much better value.
Busy on a Saturday night! Sea bass was delicious! We also had the lamb chops and they were great too. Pasta so ok.
My friends and I had a lovely dinner. Service was quick and polite. Food was excellent. Will definitely return.
Service was slow. Server was not very attentive. Food & atmosphere is very nice.
They were over booked so we were seated in the bar area because our table wouldn't be ready in time. The service was terrible - took over 45 min to take our order. We were served by multiple people so there was no continuity. The music didn't fit the atmosphere and was really loud. They credited some of our meal but the server proceeded to tell us that she had to "convince the manager to give us the credit so we are lucky he gave us it". Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience. We went for the cheese wheel which was not worth it.
Great food, great atmosphere, great location, highly recommend for any occasion. It was bumping at 8:30 on a Saturday night. I have been multiple times for a variety of occasions and they do not disappoint. Currently in the middle of revamping their wine collection, so they were short a few on their menu this past weekend, but no big deal. Their homemade pasta is to die for and the flavours they create are exquisite.
Our server was great but service was a bit slow in terms of food coming out. I ordered the cheese pasta wheel and i found that by using the tequila to warm up the cheese, it made the pasta taste off and bitter. My suggestion would be to use something else to heat up the cheese
The evening was spoiled at the end when the parking gate did not recognize the validation provided by the restaurant. This forced me to return to the restaurant twice to activate the ticket in order to exit the parking lot. While I understand that the parking facilities are not the responsibility of the restaurant, I was extremely disappointed that the manager made no effort to even speak to me when I pointed out the issue. The manager simply had one of the receptionists convey the usual “there nothing we can do message” VERY DISAPPOINTING- especially when I had just spent over $400 for dinner. All that was needed was a personal effort by the manager to convey that customers do matter....instead it’s clear that they don’t after the bill is paid.
We went for a post-Christmas wind down meal. Perfect.
Love this restaurant - food is really tasty and the whole experience is great. I only have one problem and that is the white anchovy appetizers only has about 4 - 5 tiny fish. If you add a couple more - I think it would be comparable to your other appetizers. Very tasty just not enough.
I've been to the restaurant several times without disappointment however this time was not the case. Our first course pasta was cold - not sure how long it sat before it was served - it was good and I can imagine how much more delicious it would be if it came to the table hot. They served meat that was very rare (without asking if that's my preference) and I had to send it back 3 times before they could get it to at least 'medium'. I know it was a very busy night but still ..... back 3 times !!?! And when my meal came back, my partner was served his dessert??!! We were also very disappointed that the 'secondi' in the fixed menu was served without any veg or potato/rice - that was odd and unexpected to have only meat or fish on the plate (and some sauce) with nothing else? The midnight roasted pork and risotto were fabulous - too bad that wasn't the main dinner course, we really enjoyed it. Like I said, a very busy NYE night but still a bit disappointing based on our meal. Hopefully we'll have better luck next time.
New Year’s Eve dinner. Great ambiance and food overall. Both my wife and I enjoyed the night out at Posta. Parking was $7.00 but it said 2hr free parking so I’m not sure what happened there.
We dined on New Years Eve. It was a set menu which we all enjoyed. The service was wonderful especially given the night we dined.
