Posta Ital Bar Cucina
Very nice, however would not recommend for business as the noise level is way to high.
I had the lamb meatballs + eggs for brunch. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is so pretty and we had views of the water. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it and will be returning.
Wonderful service, maybe the best I've had in a GTA restaurant in a couple of years. This Port Credit gem was a fantastic spot for a lovely Saturday date night dinner with the missuss. The live blues courtesy of musical stylings of Mr. Errol Fisher, combined with attentive and friendly service from the wait staff, floor manager and owner, made this a memorable evening. The arancina (rice balls) appetizer and pescatore (seafood) pasta were outstanding. Highly recommended.
First time at this restaurant - the night was fun but a few comments to add :
1. Run out of Peach Snapps and after one peach bellini we had to change drinks
2. Bread was too hard to serve when we arrived - even when it did come to the table, not great
3. No gelato when we ordered dessert - no ice cream and the rest of the desserts were mediocre at best
4 Expresso cold when it arrives
Apart from that nice restaurant
Firat time there. Crowded, noisy and could not really carry on a private conversation. Waitress forgot to order one entre, forgot water, forgot to bring the dessert menu.
Bread was hard. Food (pizza and bolongnese) was good, but not great. Not enough spice for me. Good quantities.
A lot of staff that seemed to be standing around. Seemed to be a lot of managers walking around and talking to each other.
Beautiful restaurant but too noisy and food was mediocre.
Awesome...everything was phenomenal
Service was great and accommodating for a toddler. Pasta executed very well, though the walnuts used in the mushroom ravioli tasted a bit stale which pervaded the whole dish. The verde chittara was just so good. Could’ve used a bit more on the Misto antipasti platter as it looked a bit sparse. The porchetta was unfortunately dry in the middle but otherwise a great dish. The fried calamari and shrimp was also great - loved the deep fried basil accents! The fried dough dessert though - fantastic for Nutella lovers!
The food was okay and reasonably priced. The waitress was nice and attentive.
I was okay but my friends want more chose of meat dishes for lunch
Server was not knowledgeable about the different coffees offered on the menu ....we asked about the Macciato which she described as a large cup but eventually it was a small espresso with foamed milk🙄
Great atmosphere and food
Pastas were a bit underwhelming in flavour.
The seared tuna was outstanding
This was the tenth time and the last time eating here. Previous visits the mushroom ravioli was absolutely addicting, although the portion size was ridiculously small. On this occasion the ravioli was fair at best, and again extremely small portion size. Our water was never refilled although staff out numbered eating guests. Butter was not available for the bread...strange how a restaurant would not have butter. Many other
great restaurants in the area, they will now be getting my business.
Great afternoon. Really enjoyed the food. Had the best server/thank you Manuela.
Great place, great food! Ambiance was just right. Service was very good.
Always a wonderful night out at Posta. The food, staff & ambience are exceptional.
A great addition to the Port Credit strip. A really nice space, great cocktails, TVs placed so they are not interrupting diners, and attentive staff made for a great evening.
Posta is perfect for Thank You dinners, dates, business meetings. Sure to impress. I went with my friend for a girls night and she really enjoyed it. A definite Instagram post ever time!
I've eaten at Posta Ital Bar Cucina a few times with varied results. I had a bad experience (both the service and the food) this past summer so that inconsistency kept me away for a few months. This past weekend I got together with a group of friends who all live in the neighbourhood. We weren't able to get a reservation at our first choice so I made one with Posta. We were blown away. The atmosphere is always great and this time the food was on point and the server was fantastic!! In fact, all of the staff we encountered were stellar. Each of us ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with their meal. Posta has a varied, interesting menu & decent wine choices. Complimenti!
Wonderful as usual
Excellent food, ambiance and experience!
We plan to come back for our Office Team Holiday Lunch :)
Everything was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress Laura was fantastic and made our dining experience a great one! Our family loves Posta and will continue to enjoy coming here!
My friend and had a lovely dinner and amazing server, Bella. She made our experience wonderful and funny!! The food was delicious and well presented. We would definitely go back again!!
Very friendly service. Lots of fun and the food was great
I was very excited to eat here given the social posts for the cheese wheel and how pretty the restaurant is. Unfortunately, the food was very bland and the cheese wheel pasta was EXTREMELY salty...I wouldn’t go again.
In general, great restaurant. The tap water had a gross taste though
The location and ambiance were great. Our food, however, was not outstanding. One person in my party ordered spaghetti and was disappointed, saying it was bland. The presentation however was good - a "tower" of spaghetti. Another member of my party ordered gnocchi with chestnuts and that was a pleasant change. I ordered the sea bass and the skin was burnt. I'm sure others would like this but it didn't appeal to me. The chic peas underneath the fish were very good.
The best thing about our visit was our server - she was extremely attentive, pleasant and friendly.
My friend and I visited this restaurant this past weekend. We need reservations on OpenTable. When we got there we were told our reservations were for 8:30 PM we arrived a bit early around 7:30pm, so we sat at the bar to have a drink. We sat at the Bar for about 20 minutes before being offered something to drink. And it was only because we had to flag down one of many bartenders that were hanging around not really serving any customers. We got the impression that we were bothering the bartender. We sat at the bar for about 45 minutes the hostess approached us and kindly walked us to our table. The time now was 8:50pm. We sat in the dining area for approximately 20 more minutes. Nobody approached us or asked if we wanted to order food or drinks. We flagged down the hostas that originally walked us to our tabl. Shortly after that we were approached by a manager that apologized and took our order. At this point we still did not know who our server was. We ordered a simple salad and a pizza with cheese and mushroom. The salad arrived it was very tasty the pizza arrived with no mushrooms. It was returned to the kitchen and we waited for another pizza to be prepared for us. At this time we are eating dinner at approximately 9:55 but PM. The pizza was very tasty but we were very dissatisfied with the lack of attention we received. We were told it’s because the restaurant hires young adults who are inexperienced. At this hour the restaurant did not seem too busy for a Saturday night. We could see many staff roaming about the restaurant but still nobody introduced themselves to her table and we were ready to leave at this point. We waited an additional 15 minutes before flagging down a waiter to ask if somebody could bring us our bill. We paid the bill and left thinking that it may have been our last visit.
I loved everything about Posta....met and exceeded expectations in most areas. However I am a senior citizen and was looking forward to a new spot in Port Credit however the music is a deterrent ( admittedly the same at Snug Harbour) If I were 30 years it would be my go to place but Sat. night I wan unable to carry on a conversation because of the music. Our waiter was a 10 out of 10 but music was out of his control.
Went to Posta Friday evening for part of my sisters Bachelorette party. We were a group of 8. The ambiance, food and service were all on point! Everyone really enjoyed it!
Great place ! Service could be much better !
Food was excellent. Loved the choices.
Music too loud though
Our server was very friendly. Food was good. We were getting together with friends from Swizterland and it was nice not to be rushed. The gelato was amazing. It would have been nice to be able to get some of the petite fours for dessert.
We arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon around 2:30, just after the lunch crowd was finished. We sat out on the patio and had a nice view of the harbour. We thought, and our waitress told us, we would get great service because there were few people left in the restaurant. While our waitress was very pleasant, she forgot to get me a beer and she forgot to offer bread for the table, which we only found out about after we saw another table being served with bread. So, service was not off to a great start. There was another waitress who was a bit of a potty mouth; dropping many f-bombs while she was working which is unprofessional to say the least. Needless to say, the staff here is young, too young in my opinion and not well trained. On to the food... I ordered the deep fried buffalo mozzarella with romescu sauce - overall a nice dish although in some places there wasn't enough sauce and others too much. I then had the rigatoni with tomato sauce - the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was good. My wife ordered an arugula salad which she said was delicious. She also ordered a rustica pizza - the toppings were nice enough (although the prosciutto seemed a little anemic in colour), but the crust was too thick to be considered Neapolitan style pizza - overall not the pizza we were looking for. If the service was better and the staff better trained, I might go back, but in the absence of that it is just another north american waterfront resto - long on view and poor on execution.
Waitress was awesome (Erica I think, crimson hair)
Mushroom ravioli is amazing but the portion size is so small, should be about double the size for that
price. A few extra pieces of pasta are not going to cost that much!
the belini i got was nasty af. the wheel cart pasta was only good for the aesthetics but flavour wise? it sucked. the appetizer was ok the dessert was good.
Too noisy for conversations especially during weeknights.
Food is mediocre. Not great value for what you get.
Service is spotty, depending on the server you get.
Need to work out some kinks and be more consistent in terms of quality of service and meals.
Great service. Everyone is always so friendly, the food is delicious and despite my quick drinking, my water is never empty!
