Excellent and personalized service, great food. Beautiful view of the Park. A positive and relaxing breakfast out at a favourite restaurant.
A favourite venue. The beet fritters as an appetizer are always excellent.
Went for New Years. Was not impressed by the limited selection. And the prices. $10 for lettuce salad and $40.00 for a tiny chicken breast. And one choice of desert that was two scoops of vanilla ice cream with cherry juice they called cherries jubilee. Even the waitress removed it from out bill when she saw it. I like the resturant normally. But disappointed for New Years dinner with friends
Jeremy took excellent care of us!
A great place to gather for an awesome family meal!
Veggies and soup not cold but not hot.
Really nice family dinner in a lovely surrounding.
I ordered a frittata but was unable to finish it due to the two slices of toast that were so delicious with the jam that I had to finish those instead. Another good meal there. Never a disappointment.
Very nice experience for a couple or a small group. Relatively quiet overlooking a skating pond. Server was busy but made sure we were looked after. Second time here and will go again. Started the meal with beet fritters as an appatizer - great choice.
The venue was lovely, however my quest and I order the special which happen to be a frittata and was very disappointed to the degree we both did not each much of it. My guest was polite and took hers home, I did not. In addition, I do not use butter on my toast and ordered jam. I am not sure of the jam they are using, however I would recommend it be changed. I am not one to complain so I left leaving a decent tip but very unhappy that I do not think I will be back.l..... i may come for a dessert and coffee as the ambiance is very lovely and I am sure it is lovely at night.
The server was awesome and provided information to be able to choose food on someone with food restrictions. He was very patient.
This restaurant has ambiance both inside and outside as you look through the windows - and this is winter time. Imagine in the summer. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. I will certainly continue to come back.
We've been to Prairie's Edge a few time's. The food is always very good and always well prepared. The ambiance is perfect. All the staff are very professional and personable. They treat like friends. We would recommend Prairies Edge to everyone.
This is a Great restaurant- a true gem in the park!!!
The service was excellent. The food was good not great. The room
Could have been warmer. Little
Cold at the glass where we were sitting.
Nice location and allowed to visit at the table. We weren't rushed, which is very nice.
Went for lunch, it was very good. Good selection of food. Pickerel cheek salad awesome, and everyone loved their meals. Service was very good. It was snowing outside so it was beautiful to look out on to the park.
I did not care for the music playing
The musicians were talented but found the noise level high as u had to talk louder to be heard over the music
We specifically went there because when we have gone before it has been a quieter restaurant and we enjoyed that
We have dined at PE several times. This time was disappointing. Those who ordered the beef brisket had cold potatoes which were microwaved after it was brought to the staff’s attention. Those who ordered the 1/2 chicken found the chicken and potatoes completely tasteless.
Terrible service, 2 hours for a quick lunch
Won't go back
A lovely neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of beautiful Kildonan Park. Excellent service excellent food excellent ambiance!
A great setting and food experience with friends, colleagues or family.
Food is always great and excellent service with such friendly staff.
Waitress was excellent however, the food was sub par. Fish was dried out - Arctic char; pasta, mediocre. Fish and chips was pretty good.
Beta is the best waitress in our opinion. Pleasant, professional, knows when to stay away. The food is of good quality, but the menu could be changed more frequently. The best restaurant in our area, by far, but if we go too often, the menu fails on variety. We like the live music on Thursdays. Some of the tables and chairs could do with a little attention, looking a little worn. Glad the storm didn't force you out.
Wonderful and diverse menu! The food was delicious and we all enjoyed the atmosphere!
Food was very good. Surroundings lovely. Very nice experience.
We a had a nice breakfast before a walk in the park. Very nice experience.
Ordered mussels 6 out of 14 empty shell. Took off bill. Fish okay, frites cold, coleslaw oily. Husband had roast beef, just a slab of tough beef. No Yorkshire’s, certainly no flavour and was not prime rib.
Awesome restaurant, hidden gem. Great way to have a quiet evening with good food, good wine
Always a pleasure to dine at the "Edge". Our waiter was outstanding, so pleasant & funny at times. She made our day. Will be back soon. Ken & Joan
We had a terrific time. Our soup came to us cold but the staff were quick to take it back and bring us hot soup. Love the ambiance and the staff did not rush us. Would come back in a heart beat!
Everything about our time in the restaurant was fantastic! The service was on point, food was attractive and delicious. The ambiance was relaxing and the bill was small! What more can one ask for?
Continues to be a reliable choice for entertaining!
Able to handle special needs (wheelchair, allergies, etc.) without fuss.
The washrooms are adequately wheelchair-accessible, which is rare and much appreciated.
Food and service were excellent! Can’t wait to go back.
This is a favourite restaurant for my husband and me. The service is the best, personal, friendly, and attentive. The food is always well prepared and features locally sourced foods which is important to us. The view of the park is lovely and adds to the atmosphere of the experience. We have had many wonderful visits at Prairie’s Edge and anticipate many more.
Good food, good wine, good time!
Great hidden gem. Food, service were excellent. Had to wait maybe a little.long for the bill. But that is so much better than being rushed out.
Had the pickerel dinner which was delicious. But the coleslaw...not so much. This is the second time that I am complaining about this. It had no flavour. Have you thought about changing this to something else.
Our waiter Jeremy was awesome! It was our first time at this restaurant, as we just moved to Winnipeg, however, we left with Gift Cards to return again. Our only issue was a VERY LOUD party was seated right next to us, so we did change tables prior to our main course. We have no issue with people enjoying their night out, but sometimes people forget they are not the only ones in the room. Otherwise, the evening was perfect! 😋
My favorite place for lunch or dinner. Have been many times and have never been disappointed.
