Came there for lunch on a gorgeous fall day. Nicely prepared food. Setting overlooking the pond with frolicking geese was delightful. Wife and I shared a smashburger. Served on a brioche bun with all the trimmings. Enough for two as I had a bowl of tasty beef soup. Fries that came with the burger were thin cut and crispy. Overall, a pleasant lunch.

We had family visiting from Kelowna, BC. We decided to treat them at one of our favorite restaurants in Winnipeg. Two people had the short ribs, one had the pasta with chicken, and I had the Asian Noodle Bowl. Great service & great food (except for some stringy broccolini ends).

We have dined here several times. This time was not a great experience. My order was incorrect and I dined alone after our other family members finished their food by the time my food came. I ordered the burger that was featured for burger week and the printout in the restaurant at all tables showed two patties and it was one. Asked the server and she shrugged it off. Had no water refills once our food came and had to ask another server for water. Got the bill and we were incorrectly charged (upgraded sweet potato fries should be $2 more and we were charged $6.25 Didn’t bother complaining because we just wanted to leave so we paid the bill and left. We typically dine here about twice a month but this last experience definitely makes us not want to come back.

U need to clarify seating preferences on the app. There were only 2 tables busy when we arrived and all the rest open but they made a big deal about putting us on a window seat as there would be another reservation in 2 hours.

Service was really good. Our waiter Jeremy was very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, I had the salmon. I heard the burger was phenomenal; I will have that next time. The staff was really helpful.

Not my first time at Prairie’s Edge. I have the pickerel lunch/dinner. This time the fries weren’t up to snuff, they were fried in old deep fryer oil. They could give a little more coleslaw, one tablespoon doesn’t cut it.

I dine at Prairie's Edge very frequently. On this occasion, the food was not as hot as it could have been. this is the first time I have ordered from the breakfast menu. I would not hesitate to continue dining at PE, since the ambiance and food are normally exceptional.

the menu offered us several options and we enjoyed our choices which were excellent. It was a busy Friday night and not realizing the coffee, tea, etcetera were on the opposite side of the dessert menu, we had to call our wait staff over to ask for coffee. the food was delicious.

The salmon was fabulous! Super fresh, very well prepared. A very nice size. It went well with the warm quinoa salad that was delicious! The others in my party had the pickerel. They said it was well prepared and delicious!

Good food and service. I expected for dinner time dining that there would be table cloths and that tables would be set but none of that was done. The windows at the far end where we sat were very dirty, as well as the windows are in need of replacement - it blocked the view into the park.

The service was efficient and pleasant, if rushed. We were advised to come early to make the Rainbow Stage performance, so arrived at 5:30 and were done eating at 6:15, 1 1/2 hours before curtain! The surroundings were attractive, but the food disappointing. Fish was not panko breaded (as advertised) but rather beer battered and there was very little coleslaw to offset the mound of fries. Chicken breast was bland. Both dishes overpriced at $29. And the noise level was distractingly loud even though the restaurant was a little better than half full.

Wild mushroom toast only had regular mushrooms. Did not see any wild mushrooms at all. Hashbrowns could have been cooked more and pan fried would be better. Would be nice if the pond was more appealing and some added color or plants around the pond.

We always enjoy going to Prairies Edge. It is on of our favorite restaurants in the city. The view of the duck pind is lovely. The service is always attentive. The food is always very good, with generous portions. We were disappointed that they had changed our favorite appetizer, the beet fritters. They were not particularly good anymore. Otherwise, everything was as good as we expected.
