Pranzo Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
Service was slow, never even asked if we wanted a drink. Food was not terribly over-priced, but still not worth it. Place was super loud (kids eat free).
Food and service were great. Wine list was lacking variety....
By time we got our pasta is was cold. Pizza was okay.
Some of the worst Italian food I've ever eaten! The spaghetti had no taste, the minestrone soup was basically cabbage and the veal Marsala was awful. Avoid this place!
I have not eaten worse food in my life. "Brick Oven Pizza" they say..... well, sure, whatever that means however pizza crust texture is comparable to a pancake, spongy and soggy. Cheese tastes like a rubber. Obviously pizza is made or heated in a microwave. Unless there are bricks in their microwave I wouldn't say this was made in any kind of "brick oven", not to mention wood burning oven which is what they want you to get impression of.
Chicken Parmesan or 'Chicken Parmigiana' what real Italian restaurants would call it, is dry. Both, chicken and pasta suggesting the same, "Brick (microwave) oven"
Icing on a cake is prices. They are comparable to fine dining restaurants in major cities in Canada. Do yourself a favor and if you want to eat Italian go somewhere else and avoid this place at all costs. If you want to eat pancakes go to iHop.
I feel sorry for employees that have to deal with disappointed customers on a daily basis.
Service was Excellent. Nathan was our waiter. He was very nice friendly attentive. Overall went there for weekend away from Bklyn ,NY. The atmosphere was very nice. Food was just average unfortunately. Was looking for excellent food based on overall look of and feel of restaurant. And of course price
The food and the service was great. I would have given the food a 5 however, because the front windows were opened and it was breezy and cool out the food was cold shortly after it arrived. The napkins and table cloths were flapping in the breeze. A larger party walked out because of how breezy it was. I recommend this place but not when the windows are open on a coolm breezy day.
We enjoyed our trip to Niagara Falls even more when we dined at Pranzo. Made our reservation online. My husband needed a gluten free option, plus he doesn't eat red meat. He LOVED the fish with a large serving of roasted vegetables done just right. I had the linguini alfredo..delicious. Thanks for adding to our special 46 anniversary weekday getaway.
It was a really good experience! Food was delicious. Friendly service. Ambience was okay. I would definitely come back in this place.
We were not impressed with the menu choices. For an Italian Eatery it was lame.
Friendly staff though
Had a pleasant experience. Price was normal for restaurants on the strip. Portions were satisfying food was well prepared and flavorful. Had the veal marsala and my girlfriend had the lobster ravioli as mains for apps we had spicy shrimp and a caesar salad. I was disappointed that there was a skin on my marsala sauce which I believe was caused by heat lamps. When your spending the money you are you don't want to see things like that.
The hostess was unable to find my reservation in their system and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table with 3 kids whining and hungry.
Very satisfied with the Italian cuisine options. Plenty of servers and helpers for customer service.
Food was plentiful & delicious.
The food was good, but very expensive but that is what you get in Niagara Falls. Great ambiance, comfortable and attentive service. Would go there again.
Pranzo's was good. The service was good and all. I would not recommend their pizza but pasta was okay. Our server was a bit weird. At the end when we paid and all he didn't even thank us or greet us the way most waiters do. So we assumed that he wasn't happy with the 15 Canadian dollars tip that we gave him. Anyway, we didn't feel bad because it was only two of us and the bill added up to $80 so we thought $15 is enough. Besides Canada has two rounds of taxes added to the bill, which is also weird. Overall, we would recommend Pranzo's and would also go back again.
My husband and I were vacationing from the US. Pranzo has the best Italian food. We both did the pick 3 menu. My Chicken Parm was amazing as was my husbands Eggplant Parm. He also had the Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. I also had the Antipasto & of course no Italian dinner is complete without Tiramisu. Yummy 😋 I highly recommend Pranzo's for anyone want authentic Italian food. Our waiter was very helpful in choosing a wine to compliment our dinner. Fantastico!!!!!
food was good. portions where small. Thank goodness for the Kids eat Free. It made it affordable.
Not a good experience. Our dinner started off with our party waiting for over 15 minutes before a waitress walked by that I had to ask to give us a hand. A family that sat down after Us had their meals before our drinks ever made it to the table. When the food finally came, it was bland and un-appealing. My chicken was undercooked and I sent it back. I eventually brought my concerns to the manager who seemed exceptionally uninterested. We were overcharged by $50 for our bill that we had to rectify before we settled up. Never going back.
great food, great service by server Bryer. She made our dinner experience one of the best meals we had in Niagara.
Food was very expensive and not great (almost fast food, pre-made) quality. Not worth it.
Friendly and great service and awesome food. Kids friendly.
The waitress was very nice, but the food took quite a long time to reach the table.
The service was below standard. We received our complimentary bread when we were almost done our meal. But there was so much noise we couldn't here each other talk. Music in the background would be one suggestion. We Had to ask for the cocktail list. The gentlemen that brought our food out was more helpful than our waiter. But can't complain about the food. The prosciutto/arugula pizza was good
You don't want to know, terrible food, slow service
Food was bland. Services were nice.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great. I definitely will go back.
We were celebrating a Wedding Anniversary. Our table was excellent and we enjoyed our meal and wine selections. We also enjoyed a speciality coffee which completed the experience.
Service was excellent and would highly recommend it.
Good food and atmosphere with excellent service. Would recommend going to this restaurant.
Food was very commercial, bland not much taste. The veal looked like it came out of box
Just the two of us, but it is very family friendly without making folks without smaller children feel out of place. A good value and the noise level was a relief. Didn't have to talk over loud music after a long day on the road. The service was good and the food came quickly, which was nice for the families nearby as well (been there!). We had the prix fixe, which was more than enough and I was able to order a starter and salad with my main dish instead of dessert. Relaxed, friendly. A nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of Niagara Falls on a Saturday night.
The pasta in this restaurant tastes like ready made pasta from a grocery store and bottled tomato sauce. The pizza was flavourless. The soup tasted like canned soup. It was literally one of my worst dining experiences ever, and extremely overpriced for what was offered.
Food far exceeded expectations. Excellent service excellent value. We will definitely be back.
Overpriced for what is is by about $6 per item. Only thing I can think of is their rent is ridiculous or they just take advantage of ghetto tourist market
Great place, great food, great service! Highly recommend! Very family friendly :)
We were very disappointed in the size of the portions for the cost of the meal. Our meals came out while we were still eating our appetizers. The menu on-line was different than the menu when we were seated and the items we were looking forward too were not on the menu.
The music in the background was today's top hits, I would have expected some nice Italian music since they boast it is "authentic italian" cuisine. It seemed like this restaurant was trying to look and feel like a chain restaurant. We would not got back again or recommend to our friends.
Love the restaurant, the food and the service is always great. What we do not like is the tourist tax that is added to the bill. We do realize that is a city initiative not the restaurant but does have a negative impact.
Our server, Nathan F, was excellent. Food was great! Was a quiet night and the atmosphere was perfect.
Service just felt rushed. It seemed like the server was in a hurry to get us out and it wasn't even busy for Valentine's Day. We were looking to relax and have a good dinner with some food, but it seemed like everything came out quickly and was left just as quickly as it came out.
Our family enjoyed ourselves. We took advantage of the $40 coupon from the Hilton. Not sure we would go without the discount though as prices are a little on the high side.
