Pranzo Ristorante Italiano
Friday, Saturday and Holiday Sundays: 12:00pm - 11:00pm
Excellent food and service. Love the special 3 course meal. Atmosphere is a bit flat but otherwise all good. We'd go again.
My husband and I both started off with soup, it was warm at best. They ran out of iceberg lettuce (on a weekend) so unless you wanted a Caesar salad you were out of luck. We both ordered the pizza because we heard it was great. It was ok. The service itself was good, our server was very nice. We did notice that
that there were a lot of half eaten plates left on tables, both pizza and pasta dishes.
We were looking forward to eating there, but were disappointed with our dinner as a whole. We have had much better food for a lot less elsewhere.
Outstanding restaurant. Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Great food. I got veal marsala, bread, iceberg lettuce salad, and spaghetti with mom. Waiter made me wait for everything, but overall it was very good incl. price
The pizza was tasty
The food was really excellent. Service wasn't great, we had to ask for simple things like cutlery after our starters arrived. We might have caught the staff just on a bad day. I would give them another try. Also great value for your money.
Located on the bottom floor of the Hilton, which provides free valet parking for restaurant guests. Surprisingly uncrowded for a Friday night in peak season. Prompt, professional service. Calamari appetizer was above average, but not unforgettable. The basi aioli was very tasty! I didn't try them, but my friend said the mussel appetizer was meh. Linguine di Mare was very good, with lots of seafood & a very nice marinara sauce. Lobster ravioli was the best I've had in forever & contained some really nice sized lobster chunks. Can't say I've ever been to an Italian restaurant where bread wasn't put on the table. Entrees were priced in the CAN$25 range, so I was surprised when they charged for bread.
Very pricey food also gave me a $3 tourist charge even though i live in Canada.....
One of, if not the worst restaurant dinner of my life.
This is our place to go every time we are in Niagara Falls. We have always experience great food every time we go. The service was also very good. Thanks!
The food were so bad, don’t ever get trap in this restaurant.
Very nice waiter.
My husband had the seafood linguini and loved it; my Caesar salad was delicious; pizza was so-so.
Stephanie, our server was great! The restaurant was freezing cold, and she had to open a window to let us get some warm air in. The table next to us was also freezing! There was a bird flying around the restaurant! I did not expect this to be an outdoor picnic atmosphere! Stephanie brought us tasting samples of two wines to try before making our selection. We told her what we like, and the bartender gave us 2 wonderful selections. We ordered a bottle of local wine which we truly enjoyed. Spaghetti and meatballs was very good, as were the stuffed mushrooms! Pizza was less than expected. Chicken saltimbocca was good, but a little salty. Tiramisu was ok, as was the chocolate cake. Service great! Ambiance less than expected—freezing with bird flying around. Food OK.
Our waitress was great. This restaurant is not authentic italian.
Not a great menu for an Italian restaurant. Waiter clueless about entrees
Great meal and service.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I feel it was not a restaurant that open table should have on its lineup of restaurants. The food was mediocre and I feel that is being kind.
Food was good... Lobster ravioli seemed grainy sandy not sure what that was.
The restaurant seemed overwhelmed during our Saturday night service. Very slow service and many uncleared tables. Place was not clean. My wood fired pizza was under cooked and soggy. I think they were understaffed and poorly managed.
Absolutely amazing, if my wife and I visit Niagara again we will be dinning here!
Pranzo Falls View is a great value and the food is healthy, delicious and well presented. Portions are perfect. Service is very good.
Once again we had a wonderful dinner with friends at Pranzo. I tried the PEI mussels for the first time and they were fabulous. Veal Marsala was terrific and so was the veal parmigiana. Excellent desserts. We’ll be back!
This place is a hidden gem! We spotted it on our way to our hotel room and thought we would try it for dinner since we didn’t make our typical reservation at our usual spot. I’m so happy we tried it! For 39$ you get an appetizer, main entree, AND a dessert. An unbeatable price considering restaurants in the area charge rediciulous amounts. A steal almost! We went at 7:15pm on a Sunday. It was fairly empty but enough people to hear chatter or speak up a bit so your partner could hear you. The staff was very friendly and helpful with menu choices and explaining how the fixed price menu worked (you can order a la carte if you don’t want to do fixed price).
My meal was the fried ravioli, Alfredo bacon linguini (added chicken), and chocolate cake. My husband ordered Spicey shrimp, lobster ravioli, and cheesecake. As people that like to eat (a lot!) We found the portions very reasonable. And the taste was something I’ve never experienced from other chain “Italian” restaurants.
Since coming home I’ve already found myself craving it and can’t wait to go back.
My top 5 restaurants have a new contender!
Had a wonderful experience here, I already can’t wait to go again! Loved the gluten free options too, the pizza was delicious.
There was an issue with 1 of the dishes but our server was Awesome and took care of it right away. The food was good service was good definitely worth the money.
My wife and I had our meal there since we stayed in the Fallsview. Calamari was very good. My steak was also well prepared but my wife's pizza unfortunately did not live up to standards. Although it states brick oven pizza, I'm pretty sure the pizza was not brick oven. Brick oven pizzas have an uneven texture meaning its very thin in some areas and not so thin in others and some of the pizza is burnt because you cannot control the cooking time in a brick oven. I applaud management for discounting the meal by 10%. Stephanie, our waitress, was very nice in pointing this out in our bill. We would come back but my wife would order something else.
My wife and I had lunch here today. Very good. Beautiful decor in this spacious round restaurant on a corner. We shared the Spicy Shrimp appetizer. Very good with shrimp, peppers, scallions, smoked paprika, and arugula. My wife had the Minestrone Soup and I had the Chicken Saltimboca, which was boneless chicken thighs stuffed with proscuitto served over cauliflower mash. Excellent. Dillon was our waiter and he took very good care of us! Worth a visit.
the atmosphere, the service, the food were all excellent. It was so good that we also
went back on Monday and Tuesday for dinner also
The food was very, very mediocre, but very expensive. They really need a new head chef. I cannot imagine anybody with cooking experience eating the white pizza and thinking it is appropriate to serve to customers. My husband ate the Canadian pizza, and not only was the crust soggy, the flavour was terrible. The spices were so odd! We will not return.
Great food. Great service. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices for what you get.
I thought the menu was quite small, however the chicken parmesan was phenomenal! Lots of cheese, and a pretty big portion. Service was great - our server was attentive, came by to check on us often, and everything came very quickly.
The quality of the food was amazing. For the amount of volume they had that evening the waitress never kept us waiting and she was one of the best I’ve ever had serving. In fact all the waiting staff was on top of there game providing all the tables with a great dining experience to the best of my observations. With that being said the only down fall was the quantity of the food felt like we ordered from the kids menu.
It was conveniently located but otherwise not recommended.
Food and overall experience we're very good. We had a quiet, romantic dinner before going to a show. Great place!
Enjoyed the restaurant, good service, generous portions. Only complaint was that the hostess tried to seat us at a table for two right at the entrance of the restaurant from the hotel. We had made reservations a week prior so I told the hostess that we did not want that table as there would be too much traffic. She obliged and moved us to another part of the restaurant where there was much better atmosphere (and the restaurant wasn't very busy). 7:30 p.m. Don't know why she tried to put us there in the first place!!!
Overall, I would return.
Visited in this Family Day Long weekend for dinner. Good service, pizza was good, pasta was great, specialty coffee did not impress me. Well priced main dishes. I would go back for the pasta!
The server was the best thing about the restaurant. Other than that, I do not recommend it. The food was not a fine dining quality, and the atmosphere was not good either. To start, the stuffed mushrooms were ok, but not great. The caesar salad used bought croutons, which were extremely garlic-flavoured so that if you ate one, you couldn't taste anything else. We ordered the only Pinot Grigio on the list, and it was ok, but since it was not busy, the server should have put it in a ice bucket. The main course of stuffed cheese pasta hearts in a cream-wine sauce was not great. The pasta was not fresh and that's the whole point; when I eat out, I want fresh, not something I could cook myself. As for the atmosphere, the music was way too loud and not romantic, seeing as it was Valentine's day.
We had a great time at Pranzo during our stay. Food was excellent and our server was great.
Thanks for making our date night special
Great meal and plenty of food.
Waiter was very friendly and personable.
Asked for a special pasta and it no problem and was delious.
