Very accommodating service, delicious cocktails and charcuterie. Reasonable prices. Thanks!
COVID complaint. Quiet atmosphere, wonderful french bistro comfort foods, excellent service, tight, but carefully selected wine list abs some great sounding cocktails. We’ll be back.
The staff was very profesional and attentive. The food was exceptional we will be back.
Our small group shared starters and others also had full meals. The oysters were excellent and the horseradish with it was also amazing. Service was well done and unobtrusive and their was room to physical distance.
Great food, solid portions without being overmuch, and a superior wine list for Winnipeg. A wonderful, peaceful experience every time I'm there.
We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Meal was amazing, a delicate combination of flavors that demanded every bite be savored! Menue is creative, but real. Prices are competitive and portions did not leave you hungry. Desserts were fabulous and a great selection to chose from. Staff were very friendly, and we had a fabulous evening. We will definitely be back!
Very enjoyable. Excellent food and service! Will be back!
Extremely pricey for what we got. The cocktails aren’t up to par with some of the great cocktail bars of the city. The charcuterie was okay and the French onion soup was delicious. The flatbread was mediocre.
Service was fine, nothing special, but fine. Ambience is lacking.
The menu was incredible! So interesting and exciting. Every dish was inventive, beautiful and tasty.
We came on oyster night for a friend's birthday and she was so happy for the oyster treat! Loved the wine list options to have a small glass (keep legal). Servers were attentive and patient (my friends are annoying). Also loved that you take reservations. I drive in from the country and I HATE having to HOPE we get in somewhere for dinner in time for our movie. I am a dietitian with 30 years in food services and I can't think of an improvement. Would definitely come again. I hope the place survives COVID.
Great food! Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Welcome new local restaurant!
Second visit and just as great as the first. The food is spectacular. I'm not able to eat fish and noticed quite a few entrees were leaning toward fish/seafood so hoping the menu is flexible in the future. Portion sizes amazing and super local affiliates. Felt very safe with Covid spacing and distancing. Service was wonderful and I would recommend you book ahead because the Friday night tables filled quickly.
Server messed up modification order, other than that, food was excellent.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Well worth every penny.
In a former Applebee’s and it felt like it. Way over priced. My husband’s steak looked like one you’d get at Perkins. Never going back.
The food was amazing. The portions were perfectly sized! Besides it being harder to hear our server due to his mask he was great! I have already recommended your place to friends and will absolutely be back again again. Can't wait to enjoy more of the deliciousness! Keep up the great work :)
The food was very good and the desserts were outstanding. The service was attentive but a little slow, and it was hard to get their attention for coffee refills. The booths were comfortable, but the chairs were not. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience.
The Seared Duck was fantastic, excellent wine list and my server was very knowledgeable.
I had the Petite Pavlova for dessert and it was divine. I'm looking forward to returning and will be telling others about this wonderful new restaurant.
Overpriced. Generic atmosphere, food was disappointing. Will not return.
Stopped in for Le Cheeseburger Week 2020 and the Pure Duckadence was awesome. It was also Wednesday night buck-a-shuck, so we enjoyed that, too. We ended with the onion soup and that was amazing. Lots of flavour.
A very nice place for lunch! We enjoyed the ambiance, the food and wine, the location, etc. Lots of parking available right outside the front door. Would love to try the patio when weather permits.
I've been to PHE+WB a number of times already. The food is consistently great, the staff is friendly, well-trained and attentive. Will visit again.
Chicken was left to long in the sous vide resulting in mushy chicken.
Oysters were extremely small for the price of $3.00 each.
Nice atmosphere and fantastic tasting food. Physical distancing measures were good.
Excellent food , and good portions.
Very talented kitchen and a great wine list , by the glass.
An okay place to go. Some dishes were great and were not very good. And for the higher prices you expect everything to be At least mediocre. Dishes were very small and not much value. Hope you have a better experience
Great for groups or a date. Many different specials weekly.
It was my first time here. Went with a friend for oysters. Can’t go wrong with buck a shuck on Wednesday’s. After only 5 oysters- the oysters weren’t so great They weren’t fresh tasting but fishy and stinky. I’ve had oysters from BC flown in and village bay oysters before- these weren’t enjoyable. I had to spit them out. Couldn’t even finish the remainder. Service was fine- but I will not return.
Creative menu, good service, and good value. Would definitely recommend.
Fourth visit - keep up the excellent work! See you again soon
Food was awesome. Only one complaint. My husband ordered the duck and there wasn't enough parsnip puree. They just basically smeared it on the plate. Would have liked more - like a side dish. The red sangria was delicious and the roasted carrot salad was amazing. Sat outside on the patio. Would go back.
Supper was nice. We had scallops and flatiron steak. Both were cooked as requested and nicely flavoured. Dessert was disappointing. Profiteroles were hard as rock and drenched chocolate. Ices cream was very tasty. Would come back to try some other main course items.
Relaxed atmosphere. Good social distancing. Felt safe.
The service was excellent. The food was disappointing. Everything was salty.
Beautiful, warm and cozy dining. The menu had great variety, food was delicious and had wonderful presentation. The waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations from food to wine/beer. Would definitely visit again and again!
Had a wonderful experience at Preservation Hall celebrating an anniversary amid! All staff were welcoming and accommodating. They were friendly and followed all the safety protocols in a respectful manner.
Menu had amazing variety and our meals and wine were delicious. We opted for Canadian wine from Niagara region, meals chozen were pork and tortiere for mains, oysters and green flatbread to start. Yummy!!! Highly recommend deserts as well! Portions were generous. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the deserts and other meals that are being offered. Almost forgot to mention bread... Bread basket and butter was delicious, I don't remember if it's complimentary offered to the table or you have to order it but either way, make sure to ask for it. Sooo good.
Thank you so much Preservation Hall team for a warm experience and congratulations on your opening amid pandemic. We wish you the best of luck and look forward to visiting your establishments again.
Delicious, outstanding service and beautiful ambiance. We will definitely be returning to this new gem!
The French Onion soup was delicious and very tasty. We shared the Beef Cheek Bourguignon and it was good ,but as I don't drink the sauce was not my favourite. However my wife liked it. The service was fabulous.
The food was amazing & the service was outstanding. You were given the option if you preferred your server to wear a mask while serving you. The menu had a wide selection of choices available to cater to everyone in our group. I had the pickerel sandwich which was seasoned to perfection, lightly battered & a good size portion. Wonderful selection of desserts too. The decor & ambiance was very nice. We will definitely be back to try some new dishes!
