Prickett Richard is a cocktail bar located in the underbelly of Comery Block Barbecue. You’ll find the entrance in the back alley just off the corner of 17th Avenue and 6th Street SW. Look for the steel door and head inside. You’ll see a kitchen on your left, don’t go in there, just head downstairs and through the wooden clad door straight ahead. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are available based on availability.

    Went with a small group of three and we loved the vibes here! Staff was friendly and nice, great service. The drinks were wonderful and not terribly priced either. The only thing we didn't love was the food. Everything was too salty (which im guessing is a trick to get you to drink more lol) But honestly wasn't a big deal because you don't come here for the food.

    I dined here for my birthday and graduation celebratory dinner and had outstanding service. Our server was very sweet and provided me with excellent recommendations for drinks and food which exceeded our expectations. It was only my second visit at Prickett and I will be returning!

    Kristen was absolutely fantastic with her service. The space is incredible and gives that true Speakeasy feel. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a unique night out.

    The vibe and drinks are amazing! Definitely one of the better speakeasy’s in Calgary. Food is more for snacking, and quality of food was alright.

    Great place for a date or weekend hang with your friends. Cozy vibes, good music and good interior . The cocktails are well crafted and unique but they come in tiny glasses. We did not have any food but it was overall a good experience:)

    Steak tartar is good as usual, probably one of the best in town Tried the Fried chicken mushroom too for the first time, very cool PR always a nice place to get a drink and a snack

    This is one of the bar/ lounge that I don’t mind come more than twice in a week In fact I had drinks there three times last week A good date doesn’t need to be over dinner, could be over drinks and snack at Pickett Richard too

    - did not eat - drinks were good but felt a touch too expensive, glassware is tiny - is NOT accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. Clearly spent a fortune on brickwork…. but no elevator to basement? - staff were the highlight. They were fun, thoughtful, made suggestions, made the evening better - prob won’t be back due to inaccessibility simply on principle

    The place is small but worth the wait. Also advise a reservation. The drinks are all spot on. I only had popcorn so idk if they even have food but for drinks it’s great. Recommend sitting at the bar

    The room was beautiful, and it is a very cool space. Unfortunately, all of our food was underseasoned and a little bland. And the cocktails were either too sweet or under diluted. My date and I were a bit disappointed to spend $17 on a cocktail that filled less than half of the coupe.

    Prickett Richard's atmosphere was the highlight of our visit. Our server was excellent as well. We tried six cocktails between the three of us and all of them were thoroughly enjoyed. We did not eat anything so difficult to comment on the food. My only 'slight' criticism would be that compared to other Speakeasy's and cocktail bars the cocktail ingredients were quite similar to one another. This would not hinder us from returning though as this is an exceptional establishment.

    One of the best spots in town! Prickett Richard has a super-intimate vibe, great for date night or drinks with friends. Oh, and the cocktails were divine. Highly recommend!

    One of my new favourite places in the city to go and get a cocktail in a relaxed environment. Weekends you absolutely will need a reservation. During the week it is quite a bit quieter and much easier to get a table. Our server Kristen was fantastic and had great recommendations of the drinks that we *needed* to try. Great spot.

    we got there 10 min before our reservation and I told the hostess my name and reservation she said we are just getting your table ready so can you stand over here. That was fine and we got drinks (which tasted horrible, I felt like I was drinking grass) So we waited and there were tables open and then after waiting 25 min a manager or something was like how’s everything going and I said we had a reservation for 10 and still waiting how much longer, she proceeded to take us to one of the tables that have been open the whole time. So I was annoyed, we got the bill and left. Felt like there wasn’t the best communication between hostess and servers.

    Very slow service we waited 20 min to just receive our drinks. They also time the tables so we were legit asked to leave before finished our experience. Didn’t even eat due to this. Very hot and uncomfortable as the air isn’t regulated.
