Prickett Richard is a cocktail bar located in the underbelly of Comery Block Barbecue. You’ll find the entrance in the back alley just off the corner of 17th Avenue and 6th Street SW. Look for the steel door and head inside. You’ll see a kitchen on your left, don’t go in there, just head downstairs and through the wooden clad door straight ahead. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are available based on availability.

I find it extremely loud in here which makes it hard to have any conversation. The food and drinks are nice and ambience is cool but I think they really need to turn the music down to increase the experience

Overall it was a good choice. Good as decent but not greatest. Music choice was odd for a speakeasy vibe they are claiming and it was loud and chaotic. Cocktails were good though.

Intimate bar/lounge experience, it feels like a secret hideout. Tried four different food sharing plates and collectively we all enjoyed the dishes. Cocktails were unique and enjoyed. Service was attentive and informative. Constant check in to replenish drinks. One of our favorite places for sure!

absolutely love this place. I have been here every time I come to calgary with either just my husband, or a group of 14 ladies, and it's been exceptional every time. staff (management and servers and bartenders) are ALL amazing, vibe is amazing, the PLAYLIST IS ALWAYS AMAZING and the drinks are top notch. would recommend every single time to every single type of person. 100/100.

One of the worst service experience I have had in Calgary. I served and bartended in industry for 8 years and go out to restaurants frequently. I called in advance to change the reso to 3 and we show up and they have no record of it and made one of stand for 5-10 minutes while they looked for a chair. There were numerous open tables while we dined there that we could have been relocated to. We ordered food and it was dropped off without plates or cutlery when the dishes clearly needed it. After 1 hour the server came over and said “how are we doing over here? Do we need anything else?” We asked for another round and we’re prompted with “actually we have a reso in 15 min so bills will be necessary”. At no point we’re we told we had the table for 1-1.5 hrs max and it was very off putting to be asked if we would like something else and then told we had to leave. When I communicated this our server responded with “Our hostess is new and learning and has been making a lot of mistakes” I will not be returning here, the experience was terrible and I was extremely disappointed.

Nice ambiance, decent service except for when we had to ask for the bill twice, good food. The cocktails however seemed to be watered down. I hardly drink and should have been feeling buzzed from drinking two 2oz cocktails in one hour, however I felt totally sober.

Fun decor, the drinks are really neat, but I would not the old fashioned that had 1oz of bitters in it, it was far too much bitters. The tomato burrata salad was amazing, the burrata was delicious and a great portion size!

Hot spot.. literally, it was warm in there. Service was prompt and friendly, our server was always checking in on us and making sure our water was filled. We didn't order any food but to leave this review it asked for a rating. Overall a cute little spot.
