   One of my favourite restaurants in Saskatoon hands down. Tonight was another great experience - food, service, ambience etc, all of it!

   Amazing food and large portions. Great place for a night out. Service was a bit hectic the night we had supper. It was a Monday and they said they weren’t expecting the crowd that they had. We had a reservation and I know so did a few others that were seated after us so I’m not sure if that’s a fair excuse by their staff. We will be going back for the 5 course!

   Comments after our meal: The best ravioli I ever had! The ricotta was so smooth! I’m getting the beef carpaccio the next time! The pavlova, the butterscotch “pudding” was the best! How about that espresso martini! Needless to say, it was exactly the meal my wife & I were looking to have for our 25th anniversary.

   Service was top notch and professional. Wait staff was courteous with our questions and very informative. Suggestions on menu items were helpful and appreciated. Drinks, starters and mains were all fantastic. Always a pleasure to dine at Primal.

   It made our first anniversary night so much better. The butterscotch dessert is always to die for and keeps me coming back!

   Loved the service and the food! My server Amanda was very pleasant and helpful. Also gave me recommendations for great brunch spots when I told her it was my first time in Saskatoon. The food was great and everything came out on time and tasted very fresh. Will definitely revisit when next I’m in town.

   Our experience started poor. We had a 5:00 reservation but the restaurant was locked and the staff was ignoring us through the door. After 15 minutes I called the restaurant and the sent someone to come let us in. There was another couple waiting outside with a 5:00 reservation. When we were seated, they put us right next to the only other couple in a completely empty restaurant. We were ignored for 10 minutes and the other table was served and had drinks on the table before the waitress even acknowledged us. There were 5 servers completely ignoring us. The food was good and the service improved. The restaurant filled up and it was a busy evening. Everything was going nicely until we were told we had to hurry when we ordered dessert because they had another reservation that needed the table. We had to rush through our desert, pay and leave in 10 minutes. Quite a disappointing end to the evening. We would have had lots of time (extra 25 minutes) if we weren’t left out in the cold then ignored at the beginning of our reservation.

   The food is good and nice small place. I was asked if it was a special occasion when I made reservation and said it was my wife’s birthday. They asked again when they called to confirm we were coming. Then the server asked again when we were ordering. Simply put they asked over and over if it was an occasion, but didn’t offer or do anything to acknowledge occasion. Why bother???

    We met friends on Sunday for their first Primal experience. The atmosphere was perfect for catching up, with the music at a level that we could hear each other talk. Each dish was delicious! Our server, Aaron, was very attentive and knew the menu in detail! I recommend Primal for both group get togethers and intimate dinners. And did I mention, my Grandma would have given the pavlova her stamp of approval!!
