Our party of 3 ordered the 5 course "tasting" menu without the wine pairing. Our favorite dishes were the bison carpaccio and the walleye (pickerel) main. Though we had a great experience overall, we thought the portions were rather too small. Our party was two women (120lbs each) and one man (200lbs). We ate every delicious morsel offered us ~ yet when we returned home we were each still peckish. Our recommendation: larger portions even if it means raising the price.

The food and service was amazing! I had to push back the reservation a little due to a delayed flight and they were so accomodating. It was a bit loud, but nothing that was unmanageable. The only thing I would change was that it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. The food however was amazing and the fresh tomatoes tasted liked they were pulled off of the vine 30 seconds before they were plated -- so delicious!

Service was excellent, food was fantastic!!! We did the 5 course meal with wine pairing and it was a wonderful. Highly recommend for a nice night out in any size of group.

The food and service was amazing as always. Very knowledgeable about the gluten free choices for our dining pleasure. We had the 5 course meal for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! We overindulged cuz we couldn’t stop eating cuz it was so good

Had a fantastic evening here. We did the 5 course meal, with myself being a very good home cook, i enjoyed having sauces and flavors that I dont think of to try at home. Service was 6 stars out of 5! Thank you again!

The food and service was very good - I felt my risotto was a little too salty. The ambience is rather too dark which makes it difficult to appreciate the appearance of the food which is part of the enjoyment. Certainly a good place to enjoy quite authentic Italian cuisine.

Had the 5 course meal with wine pairings; salads were delicious, eggplant carpaccio taste like cold vegetable soup, pasta’s were so salty I drank the entire water jug, the mains were plain, risotto was soup, and the wine pairings did not match flavor for any of it.

The building was in rough shape. The renovations were done cheaply and was very noticeable. Bartender, host, and servers all chatted at the bar the whole time. Good was very very good. That’s about all they got going for them is the good.

We walked in and were warmly greeted by the host and were immediatly sat at a cozy, candle lit booth. Our server was an absolutely lovely woman who was cheerful, warm, and gave us a wonderful run down of the restaurant and the locally sourced ingredients. We chose the 5 course tasting menu and every dish was unique, fesh, and exquisitely flavourful. Halfway through our meal the power went out on the block and the staff handled it beautifully. Extra candles were lit, a staff members phone started playing music, and our food still kept arriving. I commend the staff for continuing so gracefully in a situation that was not ideal. I couldnt reccomend this place more.

It sure doesn’t look like much from the outside but what it lacks in curb appeal it sure makes up in service and flavour! We had our first dining experience last night and opted for the 5 course tasting menu without wine. The fried bread was outstanding, nice flavour and not too greasy. The beetroot salad had the perfect ratio of beet to goat cheese which is essential for me, lol. The eggplant caponata was beyond my expectations and incredibly flavoured with me wanting more. The tagliatelle with pork and beef bolognaise was…there are no words. It was likely the best pasta I’ve had in my entire life. I will likely never order pasta from another restaurant in Saskatoon ever again as this dish cannot be beat. We ended with the beef- rotating cut was sirloin and to be 100% it wasn’t our favourite flavour but the cut was great. We finished with the flourless chocolate torte and wow, just wow. That’s all I have to say about that. Overall, incredible dining experience and I will shout from the rooftops how amazing it was to anyone who will listen. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we rolled ourselves home!

Best pasta I’ve eaten in Saskatoon. Great local ingredients, inventive recipes, good drink selection, and excellent service. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian food in a refined ambiance.

Primal is fantastic. The specials are always unique and wonderful. The portions, although they seem small on the plate, are quiet large and filling. Taste is always great. Service always is fantastic with cheerful, helpful staff. Love primal and everything it offers.

Service and food was excellent! I absolutely loved the dish but it seemed a little small for the price it was also quite warm inside the restaurant and the power went out while we were there. Besides that it was a nice place to go out and get some good pasta.
