8oz filet mignon was so burnt well done and smoked sweet potatoes smelled and tasted like gasoline or liter fluid had to send it back. Absolutely disgusting! But desert was unbelievably delicious!

We love the ambiance-- strikes the perfect accomodations for a nice evening for two or even large groups. The service was attentive and fast. Perfect presentation for all courses.The entrees were cooked to perfection-- beautifully marbled ribeye and blackened salmon. The side of asparagus Florentine was left behind. Try the butter cake with Henry's ice cream -- life changing!

Without looking at the menu, if you do not know what you are getting by the time you walk up the stairs, you are probably in the wrong place. Let your nose guide you. The smell of high quality steaks gets me every time. I am sure the other choices are fantastic. Get the steak anyway. I opted for the 45 day aged sirloin. It was good. The wife got the 8 oz filet...it was better. If you never had an aged steak get it...but the filet will not let you down. The service was the best I have had! It was my first anniversary dinner and they made it special. Prime 102 is out new favorite restaurant...cannot recommend it enough.

The staff are all friendly, polite, attentive and knowledgeable. They all seemed to have pride in the restaurant and the historic building it resides in. We started at the Corner Bar for old fashions made in a beautiful crystal pitcher in front of us, including lighting the orange oil from the rind for extra flair. The bartender, Tanner, took the time to tell us all about his favorite foods and specials that night. Our waitress, Gabby, gave wonderful recommendations. We split a wedge salad and a ribeye, and both were stellar. The bread (popover?) was to die for. The dessert was the butter cake which was delicious, but a little drier than expected. This was a special occasion, and we were not disappointed!

We absolutely had a great anniversary dinner. The food was wonderful and the menu offered choices for any taste. The service was wonderful and we really enjoyed our server Mello. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I had a date night planned, and after reviewing the OpenTable app, I reserved a table at prime 102. After reading several reviews, I felt comfortable that we would have a good night and enjoy an amazing dinner. Prime 102 did not disappoint. Service was exceptional. The food was over the top and the ambience is exactly what my wife and I needed. We met the owners wife, a wonderful woman who you could tell, was very passionate with her business, her employees and the customer. I highly recommend prime102 to my friends, and anyone who is looking for a positive dinner experience.

The service was great and the atmosphere was nice, My wife ordered the Scallops and they literally had no flavor & had a mushy texture, I ate one. My 8 oz Filet was cooked as I requested, medium rare, but was very salty on the top side. I like salt & pepper but these were way too salty,

I've been to many steakhouses and this one did not disappoint. Had the dry-aged Ribeye cooked medium and was one of the best steaks I've had in a while. Wife had the filet medallions and she was very impressed. Everything was great but I would suggest skipping the carrots as a side (should've gone with the lobster macaroni 😂😉)

Food and service were excellent. Lots of options to choose from on the menu. Beautiful art deco interior - like a snapshot in time. At $200+ for two, it’s not inexpensive, but we will return.

We had a fabulous meal. No one in our party had been to Prime 102 before, which is why we chose it. I’m sure it won’t be the last. It was the perfect place to celebrate birthdays. The food was excellent and the service stellar. A wondeful dining experience.

Our first time at Prime 102 and it was a lovely experience! We went all out and got the DELICIOUS 40oz Porter and they brought us and AMAZING Butter Cake for our anniversary! Staff was amazing and helped us navigate the menu! 10/10 will be back again!

This is a top tier experience! The atmosphere allows you to forget you are in East Texas and takes you to an upscale vibe you would find in LA or New York. When it comes to food, every item is crafted and executed with true talent. Anyone who finds themself here and doesn’t end the meal with Brown Butter Cake will regret it.

Fantastic food, craft cocktails, and ambiance. Best fine dining around. I also regularly enjoy their lunch selections. Excellent steak and the best pork chop you will ever have! Make sure to end the night with a glass of Tawny Port wine and Banana Creme Brulee!

I’ve been to some of the best steakhouses in the US. Prime 102 is among the best of the best. Service, quality, ambiance, and that tomahawk are all to die for. Highly recommend.

Last night was our first experience at Prime 102. We were speechless throughout our entire time. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and I had the specialty drink of the night, Azalea. The best drinks we have ever had! Our steaks were cooked to literally perfection, medium rare just as we like. The potato casserole and beets were delicious. For our anniversary we were served a complimentary dessert, a snickerdoodle butter cake topped with Henry’s Mexican vanilla ice cream. Let me tell you, nothing will ever top the meal we had. The entire service was flawless, our server, Scott was wonderful. Thank you Prime 102 for making our 5th anniversary memorable.

Was first time at this downtown Tyler restaurant. Parking was free and available in front of the entrance. My wife and I were greeted by two attractive ladies who ushered us to our table. Our waiter, Coleton, was very professional and not pushy or hovering. The food was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The ambiance was classy but not stuffy. As a bonus, my wife and I were treated to a birthday cake dessert free of charge. We will be back!

I rarely complain about restaurants but for a meal we paid over $300 for, we expected better. The service was great but the food was subpar. We liked the sides the best if that tells you anything. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese and truffle fries. My fiancé ordered the tomahawk which that on its own was $130. Not complaining about the price, but for that price, it should have been cooked correctly and well seasoned. There was not seasoning that we could taste and it was very bland. When we got it, my fiancé had to send it back as he ordered medium rare and it was cold on the inside. (We rarely send things back to the kitchen but thought it was fair considering the fine dining experience.) They did fix it, no questions asked which was nice but then the taste was bland which was sad. I had the crab cakes which I did like! Service was awesome and they even dished out the first serving of sides for us as the sides are table sized servings instead of individual. Just wish that steak was better for the price. I almost asked for A1 lol.

Everything was fine. My husband’s steak was tough. They replaced it and didn’t charge us for either steak. They acknowledged our anniversary and my friends birthday which was nice. Just think it is overpriced.

Prime 102 is a great spot! We enjoyed celebrating at Prime 102. Food was top notch, atmosphere was wonderful. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary! Excellent service, very knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and caring. It was our first visit to Prime 102, but we would definitely return.

Our wait staff was amazing and very customer oriented . Food was amazing, cooked to our perfection. Complimentary cake for our anniversary finished the night well. Highly recommend!
