Great, great atmosphere. Our server was lovely, but the poor kid was busy as a beaver. Did a great job with us with the time she had. Wine selection was great. The blackened salmon was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The bolognese was not very exciting. The chicken bite appy was really deelish and perfectly prepared. Dessert was a cheesecake that was quite light for cheesecake, and to die for.

Food and ambience was great! Music was a wee bit too loud, so everyone had to really speak up… I mean everyone. Maybe turn it down a notch… our server was great!

Went here on a date with my boyfriend. We both got pasta and it was really good. Prices were high but expected. Very cute place for a date. Bathrooms were nice too

We enjoyed our dinner at Prime 7 9. Our starters of the grilled octopus and the red beet salad we both very tasty. Our mains of the lasagna and the Veal chop were also very good and I would recommend all of the food that we ate. The service was a little unusual. We ordered a cocktail to start and after the server tried to take our wine glasses away assuming that because we ordered a pre-drink cocktail that we wanted nothing else. We were never asked if we wanted wine and therefore had to ask to have a glass of wine with dinner. We ordered bread service (an extra cost at Prime 7 9) and when our starters were delivered from another server, we asked where our bread was and this server said oh no problem...and immediately gave us bread. (considering we have to pay for this, it should have been brought to us quickly and before our first course). In saying that, $6 dollars for 4 pieces of bread was not worth ordering, I expected a better serving and better bread for that price. The server was very nice but I just felt that our service could have been a little more organized.

An amazing birthday dinner. Our server Shelley is always the best. Knowledgeable, fast, honest and a real joy to deal with. Food never lets us down. Our host Molly was amazing. Altogether an amazing evening.

Delicious food although disappointing service. (1) at 7pm - they ran out of one of their wine list by the glass and a main pasta dish...that is way too early to run out of items...and not have a replacement wine within the same price range is not customer focused. (2) long wait time to be served our main meal without a server checking in on us during that time. Regardless great food selection and the dishes were delicious.

The service was excellent. Taste of carpaccio was excellent except it was a little too thin. The tai tuna was excellent . The pappardelle basically we’re good but they are actually called maltagliati. The pasta amatriciana was a completely off. First you should have bucatini. Secondly there is no olives in this pasta. This was closer to a puttanesca. Also dissapointed that the pasta nera was just the black pasta noodles and not prepared a black sauce made from squid ink and served with cuddle fish. That’s why we didn’t order it

The vegetables were mediocre. Not liking peppers, I asked to substitute seasonal vegetables ..... what did I get? some zucchini and peppers (more of the latter).

First time at this restaurant. Very underwhelmed- there was three of us and we all ordered something different and all of us felt the food lacked flavour. Our server was very good however food was very slow - it was busy so totally understand that the kitchen could be backed up. Will not be returning as there are too many great restaurants to choose from in Collingwood to chance a repeat experience.

For goodness sake guys get your act together… if the chefs been in a car accident or whatever then get someone else in there that can cook ….this is happening far too frequently at your restaurant. I’m going make sure the chefs in cooking. If I am going to pay that amount of money and have a terrible dinner then I won’t be back … I’m a local here & will try dining again but get a replacement chef when the regular one isn’t available…Unbelievable by the way, & Shelley, the server is absolutely wonderful.❤️ Don’t lose her !!!!All the best…..I’ll be back to try one more time but not anytime soon Linda.

Hello Linda, I can appreciate that your meal did not go as planned. for that I am sorry. the chef was not in a "car accident or Whatever". the chef and his son were hospitalized and have been left with after effects that are being treated by medical professionals. This has rendered him unable to perform his tasks until he heals. I hope you understand that finding these replacements for chefs and cooks is not as simple as one may think. We as a business are still finding it hard to fill all the positions in the kitchen as are many restaurants. All things considered, the team in did very well ! Upon your exist, I asked you personally how dinner went? to which you failed to extend your complaints to me. We thank you for your business. -Guys who don't have their act together

What an amazing meal! Everything was perfection. The steak was incredible, fresh pasta was perfection and the gnocchi to die for! Niki our waitress wad wonderful and so friendly. We will be making this an annual tradition for our family trip to Collingwood. Would highly recommend. For the quality of food and taste very reasonably priced. My son gives it a 20 out of 10!!

Such a fabulous evening at Prime 79. Great food - loved the small plates, fabulous salads, and salmon was yummy. Waitress was attentive but left us to our conversation. Ambiance with open view to upper kitchen and relaxed but lively space was very conducive to a fun evening. GM, Sylvain, was wonderful to chat with and had some great ideas!

The room is spacious with good room between tables. Service was pleasant and efficient. Food (Italian Special) was good (maybe a bit hotter would have been good), good included wine and great dessert.

This was our second time coming to your restaurant. The restaurant was very busy so a little longer wait times for meals would normal. Having said this other tables of the same number of guests were served their dinners before us. Food: Caesar salad - this had bacon bits in it, and the dressing was more akin to store bought than home made. I am not a chef but my simple Caesar dressing is better as I am told. I had the ribs which were very good but did not need the glops of extra sauce on top. My wife had the sage pasta dish. It had no flavour of sage and was mostly just butter. It was a new menu item but not sure it should be a keeper. Service: our server was busy but when my wife asked for pasta recommendations she just named off the first four items listed, so it was not helpful. She did try to accommodate with options of something else when we sent the pasta back. Our grandchildren love calamari and we had it the last time we were at your restaurant. We were going to bring them when we have them for holidays soon, but I am hesitant now. I think it will be a while if we are to try again. Your restaurant is lovely though.

Our small group of 4 had lovely meals & our waitress went out of her way & remade our Caesar cocktails her way because they didn’t taste very good so she replaced them…then they were delicious!

Service was excellent we both ordered steak one medium and one medium rare, the medium came out blue that was sent back mine was cooked correctly but had a lot of fat. They should of taken both plates back but did not so I ended up eating my dinner while my partner watched. Than her meal came back and I watched her eat her meal. We go out for dinner to eat together at the same time. A little disappointed

Haddock was not only cold but tasteless. Server was uninterested and not very friendly from the start. Overall, I can’t say I loved the atmosphere as it was quite loud. The he other meals were just ok. We expected a lot more! Something strange about the servers… can’t put my finger on it….

First class experience. Greeted warmly at the door and seated quickly. Waitress was welcoming and very attentive. Food, drinks and dessert enjoyed by all. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys high end dining in Collingwood.

Thee best spot to go for a special meal in Collingwood. Server was good, knowledgeable and knew her stuff. Caesar Salads were out very quickly and they were full of garlic and scratch dressing, not full of romaine crowns. The pasta mushroom pasta was rich and full of flavour, noodles were perfect and there was plenty of mushrooms as well. The lamb… was a home run. Perfect char sear, juicy medium rare and the broccoli on the was spot on. Well done, every time we go to Collingwood, we book here.

Friendly efficient and accommodating staff. Delightful food (we had haddock, rack of lamb and Tuscan chicken). Definitely recommend. Probably more suitable for adults. (We are in our youthful 70s).

EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET. ORDERED A PRIME DINNER SALAD WITH CHICKEN AND IT WAS QUITE PLAIN, NOT A LOT ON THE PLATE AND ALMOST $20! PRESENTATION WAS PRETTY GRIM, NO GARNISHES. MY FRIEND HAD PASTA --- A SPRIG OF PARSLEY WOULD HAVE COMPLEMENTED THE OTHERWISE ORANGE APPEARENCE. WAITER WAS NICE ENOUGH, HOWEVER I FELT RUSHED FROM THE MINUTE I SAT DOWN, EVEN WITH A RESERVATION. I'M WILLING TO TRY AGAIN AS IT WAS GOOD IN THE PAST, BEFORE COVID.
