   The taste of the food was fantastic. However I don’t know if we would come back. The price is ridiculous for some plates. My husband had to order a side to go with his steak because it comes alone. That’s strange in our books, and a small bowl of whipped potatoes should NOT cost $18 when the steak alone was $50. My pasta was filling and I would order it again. Also almost every fancy dinner we’ve been to does bread, but not this place. We did not order drinks as it was too expensive. I also explained my fish allergy and they still brought our Caesar salad over with the full anchovy on top. For a starter salad (that we shared), a steak, side potatoes and my pasta it was almost $150. Not a great impression. Our server was nice but he didn’t pay much attention to us for about 20 mins after we were done our meals and you could tell we were waiting to be approached.

   All in all, it was fine. I have no problem spending good money on food & wine, but when you spend $$$$ for something that is not better than fine, makes it hard to want to go back. Benefit, you don’t have to leave hotel to find dining. Positive, the bar looks inviting with lots of selections. Won’t be utilizing the dining room again, but definitely see having drinks in the bar someday.

   We really enjoyed the experience, except it took forever for the bread to be served. Our server said she would speak to the manager to see how we could be compensated but nothing happened. Our meals were fantastic but our steaks cooled very quickly. Perhaps heated plates might be in order? The resto is spacious, with a lovely understated decor and a really low noise level. We’d return.

   Had a lovely dinner last night at @HotelXToronto restaurant Prime Grill. Many thanks to our wonderful server Kasmir who graciously helped with dietary restrictions, our hostess who made wonderful drink recommendations, and the chefs who made some changes still so yummy.

   Loved the Prime Grill! It’s a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. We were there for lunch, the food was good. I had a look at the dinner menu and it was a little pricey but I still want to go back and try it for dinner. Especially the 50 oz tomahawk steak ($164).
