The waitress was great and the food was good just a bit too pricy for what it is .
My girlfriend and I returned for the second year in a row to the Prime Steakhouse for our 6th anniversary. Overall the atmosphere was great with amazing views of the falls (lived here all my life and still love the view). Our food was cooked well and the price was absolutely fantastic for the portions we got.
I had a Caesar salad to start made with real bacon and made as a double portion. For an entree I had a Short Rib, supposed to be 8 oz but came out a larger portion than expected, the potatoes and buttered asparagus were all cooked fabulously. For dessert I had cheesecake in a jar which was just tasted amazing.
My girlfriend had the USDA steak and said it was the best steak she's had.
The service was fantastic, our waitresses name was Carlee and coincidently was the second year in a row having her. She checked up on us regularly to make sure everything was ok and topped up our water everytime we were just about to finish our glasses. Even upon leaving every single employee wished us a good night and hoping for our return.
I was extremely happy with our visit and will definitely be returning next year for our anniversary!
Food was amazing! Outstanding view! Wonderful experience!
Wonderful ambiance ! Absolutely amazing service! Had the porterhouse steak it was devine.
Great food! Amazing service! Beautiful view!!!!!!!
We loved the quiet atmosphere and mood lighting. It was never too loud that I could not hear my wife. I would love to try other dishes, but even just a few things (2 small appetizers, 2 steaks, and 1 side) were enough to fill us 2 guests. The New York steak was done just how we like it and seasoned so well. The accompanying sauces to our steaks and side were delicious! The truffle fries combined with a garlic aioli sauce definitely caught our attention and made us want to come back for more! Our waitress was very kind, patient, and helpful while fielding all our questions and requests.
James was an excellent server! We will definitely come back again
Lamb chops was delicious, it doesn’t come with any side and you will have to order it separately. Best lamb chops I’ve ever had.
Went to Massimo Italian restaurant the following night, had the lamb chops there too. You can get a 3 course meal for the price of the lamb chop only from Prime stakehouse. But prime stakehouse was worth it if it’s your first time.
It was a quiet night so we got a great seat and service was excellent! Had the USDA prime and learned only 2% of beef gets this designation. The steak was amazing , beet tender and flavourful !
I would highly recommend Prime Steakhouse! The restaurant was clean and had a lovely view of the Falls. Our server Patrick was excellent and very knowledgeable on the menu. We had the Heirloom Beet baklava appetizer, it was unique and delicious. Our main meal was Chicago style USDA Prime Reserve steaks, lobster tails, mushrooms, and Truffle Parmesan frites with roast garlic aioli. It was all amazing. This is not fast food! You’re paying for freshly prepared quality food. This restaurant is independently owned and operated and you can taste the difference. We enjoyed our food and our time in the restaurant. We will definitely be visiting them again!
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, because it’s a little pricey.
We were celebrating our 5th anniversary, the restaurant was just perfect for the occasion. The attention was incredible, Alicia was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel great. Everything was delicious!
over $200 for 2 people. outrageously overpriced. The quality of the steak/food would worth maybe $100. We only had a beer and a glass of house wine and no app or dessert. $53 for 1 steak!
Ask for a able by the falls views and book in advance
My particular cut of beef had a higher fat content than it should have had, apart from any marbling. Otherwise the view is great, service excellent and decent wines.
Food was very good. Our server Carlee was great. The only negative was a large group that sat next to us and they were extremely loud. I would definitely dine ther again and I would recommend this restaurant to friends.
Great staff, And great food as usual.
The view was amazing, the noise was loud due to other guests sitting near us, my steak was amazing little to no fat, but unfortunately, my date had a small crisis with her scallops "didn't agree with her stomach". the staff was extremely polite and helpful "5 stars to them" especially since she is in a wheelchair and were quick to set up the ramp.
Very expensive. Great view, good service. Restaurant needs a revamp. Food was lukewarm, portions not big, expensive prices and and type of add on had a pricey price tag.
A little on the pricey side. But a beautiful restaurant for a special occasion. Quiet enough to talk with gorgeous views. Hands down my favorite mushroom ravioli in the world.
This was our second visit, this time on a Thursday evening in February. During the week, it was very quiet and the perfect place for an intimate Date Night or a special evening. This time it was my wife’s birthday.
The menu is a little pricey $$$$ which is to be expected right in the tourist district, but well worth it. The food was well above average for a fine dining steak house.
Add in a terrific view from the 10th floor overlooking the falls, and the quiet ambiance on a weeknight, and it deserves a little more than my four star review. We will definitely be back !
It was my daughter’s birthday, and the view was amazing. You are center stage with both the American and Canadian falls visible. The menu was typical of any steakhouse, but their meat quality was excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked, and the service was attentive. Great place
The bright LED spot lights reflected off the window making it hard to see the falls. The Negroni that I ordered was very small, had too much ice and almost no flavor. The food was good and so was the service. The hotel gave us a certificate for $20 off of our dinner.
Very unhappy. They did not honor my gift cards. It was my birthday celebration. We even order adult entries for our kids. They failed to honor our 5 gift cards for $20 each...
Or give me the dessert or anything special for my bday!
We spend close to 500.00 dollars!
Our server was great.
Justin gave excellent service backed with delicious food. Left the restaurant full and happy. Was able to have the baked alaska I was dying to have all week and it didn’t disappoint!
The lady who was running the restaurant and doing the seating was very friendly. We were originally sat in a layout that was very difficult with our two children and would have made the meal much less enjoyable. She was able to relocate us to a much better situation.
The waitress who served our table was also very friendly and very polite.
The only issue with the waitress was the timing, after my first drink we waited at least 25 min for her to come back by the table, and then in between our soup and main steak there was a good 45 min delay. When the steak arrived it was rare and very cold in temperature (we ordered medium as my wife in pregnant). They took it back and tosses it back on the grill however it was still rare when it came back so we left the rest of it. Disappointing to come for the steak and it was definitely the worst part of our meal.
The rest of the food was fine and enjoyable.
We were over 2.5 hours in total with 2 small kids. The table next to us had 2 seatings that were both 3 courses in the time it took us to be served our meal. Luckily our kids were well behaved and we managed through.
Overall the experience was enjoyable, and all the people involved on staff were nice people, the meal just went on way too long unnecessarily (as people around us were receiving their food and drinks mouch more timely). This is my first 'somewhat' negative review I have left, but when spending $300 and only my wife was not drinking, the service and quality of steak needs to be much higher.
It is unfortunate because we would really like to come back to this resort and visit the steakhouse again, but we may try somewhere else as a result.
Everything was good, but nothing blew our minds. Given the higher cost we expected excellence. We felt you could have a comparable meal or better for much less at other known steakhouses.
The apps were not as flavorful as we’d hoped. Steak was good and well cooked, but just okay. Waiter did the minimum, but timing was off sometimes (ie had to wait to order wine while food had arrived already). The ice wine martini and the wine was good.
Everything was amazing. The food, the service and the entire dinner. Can’t wait to go back again.
Went for our anniversary, happened to be Valentine's Saturday. Got the Prix Fixe menu. The onion soup was great, as was the Filet & Bearnaise sauce. The half potatoes brought for me and my husband were not cooked all the way through. Told the waiter and he brought mashed potatoes that were horrible. They either came out of a box or were over whipped beyond belief. Completely inedible. Asked while ordering for sauteed onions and after the waiter checked with the kitchen was advised they were too busy and had none prepared so it wouldn't be possible. Seriously. Steak place can't do onions???? So just before our check came, I looked at a table near us and saw them taking sauteed onions off a plate & putting them on their steaks. When the waiter came, I showed him. He said he would go yell at the kitchen staff. By that time we were done with all of our food. There are a number of issues that should be adressed - like quality of food leaving the kitchen. Our potatoes should never have left the kitchen, the "mashed" potatoes should have been thrown away and never brought out. There should be no reason that if I'm going to spend $250.00 for 2 dinners, I can't have some sauteed onions! We honestly will never go back. The prix fixe menu included soup, $15 upcharge for filets, $4 for bearnaise, potatoes we couldn't eat & a dessert. Not even worth it.
Went for their Valentine’s Day special and it was outstanding. The view of the falls was incredible too. Great service all around!
Tax is horrendous. Food was ok at best, nothing spectacular and the chocolate cake wasn't moist at all.
Our waitress was fantastic and the food was excellent. The tables along the glass were close and appreared to close to each other. We were seated off the window, which at first was disappointing, but turned out to be a better table with more privacy, still a real nice view too. So, all things considered, we would come back again. it was a good experience. Staff was friendly and very accomodating!!
Excellent meal overall!
Our server Patrick was simply AWESOME!! Thank you for giving us a wonderful dinner on Valentine's Day!!! Much appreciated!
We had an excellent meal at Prime. My husband had a steak which was wonderful and i had the mushroom ravioli which was wonderful. Our server, Justin, was polite, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. They even comped us our dessert in celebration of our anniversary.
Service was outstanding, the views were amazing, all staff was very professional.
For the bad: The menu offered Three Choices of hi grade beef , AAA, Certified Angus, and their absolute best Prime reserve beef. My wife and I ordered the best of the best (Prime ) $70.00 16 oz New York strip. When it arrived I new just by looking at my steak it was not Prime nor any other grade offered on menu. There was no marbling at all and I struggled to cut the meat, could not chew it! they apologized and gave me another it was no better. 100 % sure it was not Prime , Angus or AAA beef. I am in the food business and have been selling premium steaks for over 35 years. Occasionally it is possible to have a high grade steak that's not that tender, but never un chewable.
Carlee was our server and awesome! She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave exceptional service! The food was great and pricing was as expected. All in all, a great dining experience.
Patrick was fantastic. Food was amazing (had dry-aged porterhouse).
