Our first to be in a high class place, not certain what to expect. We celebrated 54 years of marriage. Because the meal was delayed, were given free salads and then free ice cream. Great waiter and others. Wonderful steaks. But for us prices out of our league. Difficult to recommend to friends who would not afford the cost. However we were glad to be there for our occasion and how well treated.
The food and the view is great! The service is okay. For a romantic night outing is highly recommend.
Our 43rd Anniversary dinner was a huge disappointment. Advertised as the “best”, the steaks were mediocre, chewy steaks, overcooked. The meal was average at best and overpriced for the the lack of quality. When I asked for a black napkin so as not to get white all over my black slacks, I was told laundry may deliver them within the hour?! The only saving grace was the view of the falls, however, this did not make up for paying $350 for a less than exceptional meal.
The place was dimly lit. Some can look at it as romantic, others could look at it as not being able to see how overcooked your tasteless medium rare steaks were. The view was fantastic and the waitress was attentive.
Went here with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was great, the hostess was kind when she greeted us, wished us a happy anniversary, and made sure we were happy with our seats which had a lovely view. Out server, Alicia M was also very kind and efficient, always checking in with us but never overbearing. She made sure we were satisfied with our meals, which were delicious. The menu is expensive but everything was delicious and cooked exactly right (my rare filet mignon was cooked perfectly). If you are going to splurge on a meal I would recommend Prime because you get what you pay for in quality food and service.
Fantastic experience from the second we walked off the elevator into the lobby of the restaurant. Lots of smiling faces and attentive servers. Waitstaff knew the menu and were attentive to our needs ...PLEASE EXPERIENCE !!
The food was very good. However, the restaurant lost their AC in one area of the restaurant making it incredibly stuffy and hot. The manager was accommodating and moved us to another area, but I had hoped the hostess would have provided that information upon being seated. Also, the bartender appeared to be inexperienced as my drink was sent back twice due to insufficient ingredients. The view was fantastic and the staff were friendly. For the price of our meal, the dining experience was less than favorable.
Server Michael was amazing, the views are breath taking, wine was delicious, great appetizer, got the shrimp, mushroom ravioli was unreal, steak was good desserts incredible. Go if you have the chance!!!
As summer was winding down, my family and I decided to take a long weekend and visit Niagara Falls. Based on some wonderful reviews of Prime Steakhouse, we went on Saturday night, after a full day of walking & sightseeing. The host staff warmly greeted us and took us to a wonderful Falls view table. In no time at all, our server, Shawna, came and greeted us and shared some information about the menu, and then took our drink order. She checked to see if they could make a Boulevardier for my wife. Shawna returned with two Canadian Shirley Temples for our sons, a Tesla cocktail for me, and the Boulevardier my wife ordered. Shawna found the ingredients and made the cocktail herself. She took our dinner order and returned with bread for the table (our sons rate restaurants by the quality of the bread – and this bread scored highly with them!). Our meals (Filet for both sons, ribeye for me, and scallops for my wife) came after a short time, and everything was just as we ordered. Sides are a la carte, and quite sharable. We had the shoestring fries with parmesan truffle oil, asparagus, and roasted cauliflower. Each was excellent, and a great accompaniment to our dinners. Shawna was attentive throughout, and the manager stopped on two occasions as well. When it came time for dessert, Shawna recommended the Brown Butter Tart, which one son and I each ordered. My older son ordered the “10-Storey Chocolate Cake.” She also recommended ice wine with the tart. My wife did not get dessert, but we both ordered the ice wine (which we both enjoy in general!). When they brought it out, they had two glasses for each of us: one with a Vidal Ice Wine, and another with a Framboise – each to pair with the different desserts. Both were delicious, and even better with the desserts we ordered. The entire experience was wonderful!
If you want an excellent meal, go to Prime. If you want an excellent experience, ask for Shawna to be your server.
No AC. Portable units did not cool place off. Hostess did not mention upon entry, but when I said something as we were leaving she said yes it has been out for a week and she is sweating like crazy. Since this place knew how to contact me I expect to be contacted beforehand if something like this happens. Service was truly sub-par. Told waiter about my food allergies to nuts and shellfish. He brought special dessert for our anniversary. Guess what...it was covered with almonds! A true idiot.
Food was great the service was great our server Patrick and the staff were very helpful with questions and it made our ten year anniversary special we will be recommending it to friends and we will be going back when we can
Our waiter, Christopher, made this experience exceptional!!!
The ratio quality-price was a way out of line. The vegetables were really awful and not edible
Awesome experience would love to come back.
The food is outstanding hands down one of the best in the Niagara Falls area.
I had made arrangements on Open Table. I made a note on the Open Table reservation that I would be celebrating my birthday. No acknowledgement that it was a special occasion. I was dressed in a lovely dress my husband had on a very nice outfit Justin our waiter was amazing. We were seated by a window the view was wonderful. Then a nonstop parade of rude people squeezing past us to take pictures of the falls, I get it but this was a really special occasion and this place is expensive. Apparently shorts and tank tops are acceptable for a fine dining experience, So if you want to pay top dollar and be very casual this is the place to be. I felt really uncomfortable once again the food was excellent next time I will pack my flip flops.
Although it was a bit pricey the food was incredible and would highly recommend it.
Great view and great food ! The staff was very knowledgeable and the mashed potatoes were really, really good.
We absolutely love this place Carlee and Tammy were are servers over the two nights we ate there they couldn’t have been better the food was outstanding even the management was great to us!
Definitely go anytime your in the area.
Great view of the falls. Be sure to be hungry for steak. Excellent choice for all!
Food was great but not what i would expect for that price. View and service were phenomenal though and i would probably go back.
Food is great as is the service and view. However, a little overpriced. Still thoroughly enjoyed it, though.
Food was excellent.but alacarte is ridiculous.you should be able to get side dishes with your meal.not have to pay 15.00 for mashed potatoes as a side.we spent over 200.00.for two people for a dinner that shouldve been about 140.00.would rather go the keg or sparks where there is no alacarte.
My husband and I had a great time! The filet mignon was excellent. Service was excellent. If we return to Niagara Falls we will definitely come back.
Carlee.. super Nice
The view is amazing, food not so amazing. We were expecting great things from the "Best steak house in Niagara Falls". We were thoroughly disappointed.
We have been to many steak restaurants and normally the first thing we check out in a new city. We understand how they portion things and everything is an "extra" or side dish. We were ready for that, but at their prices, we also expected a great steak.
It turns out the steaks (filets) were very bland and boring, and small for their menu sizes. We think they were all under the specific sizes and under cooked. The well-done we had was still pink and we had to send 2 others as they came back too rare. I'm pretty sure being a steak house, they should generally get this right the first time..
The sides: The caesar was good but very small. We had the $12 potato, that was pitched as "big enough for 2 or 3 people", that served one. It was supposed to be loaded with toppings as well, but was just a dollop of sour cream and a few chives. The asparagus was overcooked. The "frites" were portioned like a very small handful were placed on a large plate. These are potatoes and can be bought for pennies, no idea why the portion police were out in full force. We also had a salmon dish that we overcooked and like rubber.
The Wine was good :).
Then came the dessert, which we didn't order. The waiter brought their signature dessert and said it was "on the house". I also realized it was "on the bill" too. They charged $16 for that too, which was a pretty good scam I would say.
So all-in-all it was a great view and nice place, but the food was not great and portions were pretty ridiculous for what you pay. If you are looking for a tasty steak and good meal, I would approach this place with caution. It was obvious that this place does not worry about pleasing returning local customers and cater solely to tourists who would probably not come back.
We had a wonderful experience! Carlee was our waitress and she was very attentive. My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our 10 yr anniversary here. They made it extra special!
Food was super, exceptionele the steak mignon.
Prime rib was excellent.
Service was very slow.
Had to go myself to counter in order to pay the Bill.
We were sat at a table with a dirty fork. The food was ok, but it wasn't exceptional for the price.
Excellent food and service!! Great view of the falls.
Food was amazing and the waiter was extremely helpful. The cost of the meal was very expensive but we were happy to pay as it was our last night.
We choose this restaurant for it's top rating on trip advisor. We were excited to celebrate a belated birthday. Although the wait staff was exceptional and friendly, the restaurant was having AC issues and it was very warm. In addition, we noticed a few things that did not fit with a high-end restaurant (frayed napkin, dirty restrooms, and minimal table busing). After sharing some of our concerns/comments, the manager did stop by our table with complimentary drinks. He apologized and explained issues with AC. This was very professional and it was appreciated. However, for the price of the meal most of these should not have even existed.
Tammy was our server and seemed to know just when to be at the table. Not to much, not to little, but just right. Dinner was superb. The kitchen does a great job. My wife an I are anomalies as we visit Prime 3-4 times a year and they never let us down.
Beautiful views of the falls, very nice ambiance, dressy casual, stay for the fireworks show. Delicious food but be prepared that the price is expensive. Worth it! Loved this restaurant!
Beautiful view of the fireworks over Niagara Falls. Really good food and service. Expensive but justifiably so given the view. HOWEVER, the dining room was extremely warm (uncomfortably so), and we were told this is an ongoing problem. That being the case, I would not return and can’t recommend to others until they fix the AC issue.
We were looking for a quality steakhouse and this was just mediocre. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food received! Location was great overlooking the falls but not worth the overpriced meal! Disappointed and would not recommend.
If you want a good view of the American and Canadian falls, this venue has it. When we were placed near a noisy family, we were able to move to a quieter location with no issues. Also, our server James was great - very polite, professional and accommodating.
We started with the pork belly appetizer which was served rather cold. When we told James after asking about our appetizers, they took it off our bill. The crab cake appetizer was good, if a bit ordinary.
Dinner was steak which was flavourful, particularly the filet mignon. Mashed potatoes were generous and the asparagus with balsamic “cubes” was tasty. We split the Baked Alaska for a birthday dessert and they included a lit candle. The ambiance was a bit on the touristy side. Prime could use a bit of an update in the decor. All in all a good meal (particularly for a Monday night), but geared to tourist families rather than for special occasions.
Très bon accueil, vue magnifique et nourriture excellente, la viande était divine!
The waiters knowledge of the menu and pairings was superb along with their service. My wife and I had the Ribeye ‘s, it was one of the best we have ever had along with the Greenbean Poutine which was excellent as well
The food was good, but very over priced for what you received. I expected the bill to be higher being one of the "better" restaurants in Niagara, but the value just was not there for what we received. We had much better dinners the other nights in town at other local restaurants such as Massimo.
