Primo Bar & Bistro
Fantastic food, excellent service and outstanding location
Wonderful dinner and fantastic service. We sat at a table overlooking the water. We shared the mussels which were incredible - ask for extra bread for the broth! The jerk pork was good too. Highly recommend and we will. E back next visit!
The food was delicious, the location is fantastic, and the service was great. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Barbados.
The service was excellent. The location was excellent. The food was excellent. The prices were definitely affordable compared to other places on the island. Highly recommend Primo.
Waitress was rude - didn’t have the wine we wanted - mussels or lobster .. no atmosphere - and was very expensive
Very good service we had a wonderful night. The ambience was fantastic!
The staff is always professional and friendly and the food was delicious! We’ll be back next year. A very nice experience.
We really like the place. It’s one of our favorites in the Gap.
Amazing all around! A must visit!
Amazing food. Great service.
Excellent service, beautiful setting, great food. We had crudo which was fantastic, great coconut shrimp and the fish special Parmesan crusted mahi mahi was to die for.
What an absolutely amazing experience. Definatly reccomend this restaurant for excellent food and beautiful waterfront experience.
Food was terrible service is very slow and not professional the drinks are terrible I would recommend champers over this restraunt
Good overall, however, when we first arrived they said we hadn’t confirmed with a credit card even thiugh this was never requested. We had a confirmation numer from Open Table. They made it seem like it was a problem but in reality there was no problem for a table.
A lovely setting, great food and great service. It is a fine dining restaurant so a bit more expensive than some others. Well worth a visit.
Food fantastic lovely location
Wine just a tax on the pricey side.
Lovely staff too.
Beautiful view! Great service and friendly staff! A little pricey for the food, not expecting it to be cheap but high for what was ordered.
Superb food and lovely surrounding well worth a visit but book in advance as it is always busy.
Primo is the place to be to enjoy a beverage and watch the sunset into the sea, stunning! The restaurant is clean, not too noisy, the staff are attentive but not intrusive. The bread at the bread was tasty, I’d prefer it warm, but I’m not picking. The calamari was crispy and delicious. I had the mushroom risotto, it was ok and my husband had the carbonara it was ok. We did not have dessert. My favourite beverage is the Mount Gay Rum sour, it is ridiculously good.
Overall a lovely evening. I would recommend.
Great location and good.
Wonderful location and food a superb dining experience
We arrived in time and were invited to sit in the waiting area where are drink order would be taken. We wait for over 25 minutes to order our drinks. We eventually re-ordered when we took out place in the restaurant. We then ordered a bottle of wine from a wine menu which was different to the wine menu used by bar staff. We were not offered any apology including when I contacted primo direct the following day (I also tried to book for later this week but I wanna as fobbed off as the staff “didn’t have time” very, very poor
We sat Oceanside which was wonderful. Beautiful place. I had scallops which were slightly rubbery. Disappointing. I'd go again but order something different.
The dinner rolls were cold (out of the fridge cold). When we asked the waiter if they should be warm, he said they were to be room temperature, but took them back, and admitted on his return that they were not at the right temperature. We felt rushed by our server, who removed the plates as soon as we finished eating and provided menus the same time. There were frequent interruptions by him asking how the meal was, in one instance even before we had time to take a forkful. There was no hostess walking the floor or checking to see how things were going.
The server meant well, but some coaching on pacing is required. For the money spent and given the fact that the restaurant wasn't busy, a hostess should have been present. Will not hurry back.
Anniversary dinner while in Barbados. We are here mid week and returned the next evening. We decided we would spend our last night dining here as well. The food was outstanding, service was perfect and the ambience was fantastic. Our favorite place on the island
Not cheap but was deffo worth it as a holiday treat
Great restaurant. Excellent service, music, & the view is amazing.
Birthday celebration food was good and service was great from our waiter he did a fantastic job
Excellent food & service
Used this Resteraunt often in the past when it was Pisces. The revamped Primo is modern , and very classy. Staff are excellent. Food was beautiful. ❤️
Overall the experience was great the food was excellent and me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time. The only problem is that it was very hot when we went but apart from tht the hostess and our server were very professional and made us feel like they were our friends from childhood, I cant remember their names but to describe them the server was a light skin male with locks and the hostess was a short darkskin lady cudos to them.
Nice ambience. Food very flavorful and nicely presented
Dining out is an all inclusive experience and the service by Anand was absolutely 1st class complementing a splendid meal (SURF & TURF for me and scallops for my wife). In addition a Gewurztraminer Riesling fusion (never tasted this before) which was superb and not available in the UK mainstreamproviders . Anand even provided some mosquito repellent (being near the water front). In fact it was so good (better than Champers?) that we went back for more of the same and just in time as we had the last bottle of the fusion wine.
My wife and I recently had dinner at Primo Bar and Bistro in Barbados and we absolutely loved it. From the appetizers to the entrees and finally the dessert, everything was delicious. Our waiter, Raul, was very personable and knowledgeable. It was an excellent experience and we already made a reservation for a return visit.
We've visited Primo twice in the past ten days and have had a great dining experience each evening. The menu selection is varied and everything we've chosen has been delicious. The view overlooking the water and watching the sunset is beautiful. The service is exceptional. The serving staff and hostesses are lovely...never over the top but able to carry out their duties in a quiet, very friendly manner. We will be going back!
Very nice experience, beautiful setting, dining on top of the waves, seeing schools of fish swimming by you, it is well worth it.
Warm welcome and nice reception area. Walked down to the dining area and put at a rail-side table. If we were slightly earlier, we would have witnessed a beautiful sunset. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. The food was flavoursome and good quality, and well prepared. The wine list wasn't extensive but adequate, and expensive (as usual for Barbados).
Primo is primo! Beautiful decor with waterside tables and view of the inlet. Fabulous food and drinks. I had the 7 oz.. filet and sautéed greens. Absolutely perfect. Get the Ri Ri vodka martini. I had two! Yum! The waiter was new I could tell, because he didn’t have answers to some of my questions, but he was extremely attentive. The topper of the evening was when we were leaving and it was pouring rain. A young man, perhaps one of the managers by the way he was dressed, ran out and hailed us a cab.. Then he ran in and got an umbrella and walked us to the cab. Everything here is above and beyond what you’d expect at a five star restaurant.
Great food in a lovely setting with excellent service! Would recommend and return when back in Barbados.
We had an outstanding dinner at Primo - we so enjoyed our table, the service and the excellent meal and would go back tomorrow if we lived here! This dinner was the highlight of our week’s vacation in Barbados. Prepare yourself for attentive and friendly service at this popular spot. Make a reservation and get ready for a wonderful dining experience in an upbeat and smart, but unpretentious, bistro. The menu is not huge but the offerings are varied and all items were tempting. Our choices of the Yellow Fin Seared Tuna and Fresh Catch (Mahi Mahi that evening) were wonderfully presented and tasted equally so. Many other choices for all tastes are covered. There is a more casual bistro open on the other side of the more formal (but not really formal!) side so there are options in seating. Reservation’s a must, and oh so worth it!
