Enjoy the taste of traditional Italian cuisine at Princi Italia. Its dimly lit and warm premises with hardwood floors and wooden furniture creates an atmosphere that makes customers feel comfortable and relaxed.

At Princi Italia, guests can start the meal with appetizers, such as a charcuterie dish filled with an assortment of meats, like salami, with different cheeses to supplement.

Prince Italia's menu features platters, such as mussels and capellini marinara with parmesan cheese and basil. Some of its main entrées range between chianti braised short ribs with tomatoes and fingerling potatoes, as well as pan seared scallops with peas and butternut squash risotto.

Ordered bottomless mimosa and my glass filled up only 2 times I had to wait 15-20 min for server to fill it up. Also ordered eggs Benedict with crab meat and look in the photo how much crab meat I got.
Also prices are higher than what’s on here for example bottomless mimosa is $10 here but I got charged $18 and had to wait for server to fill it up every time.
Thank you but never again

This was my third visit to Princi Italia and I've still not had a good experience there. I ordered the fig and goat cheese bruschetta appetizer. It was missing balsamic vinegar or something to marry the three components. The pizza I ordered was luke warm and no sauce. Others ordered pizza as well and theirs was cold too. Not going back.

We had a terrible server. She didn’t come to our table for a long time, more or less tossed our plates on the table, refused to take our food order with our appetizer order, never asked us how we enjoyed our meal, and never offered us dessert. The food was fantastic though

We had a great waitress but we have to say that the food was just not good. There was 4 of us and 3 of us had meals that were just not prepared well. We had a pretty good time because of our server but, we just can’t recommend the restaurant because of the food.

We were seated at 6:05 for a 6:15 reservation. The place was almost empty. It took the server 20 minutes to greet our table. At 7:00, I had to get out of my seat in the middle of a business meal and speak to the manager because we had still not received our salads. The food was good but not impressive. Entrees took an additional half an hour to arrive. The server offered us wine with dinner when we had full glasses sitting in front of us. We had to request the check. When the server brought it, he stood over me while I got my card from my wallet. Every encounter was extremely awkward. Receiving payment was the only thing they had any urgency about. Our salads were comped by the manager, but the service never improved. I won’t be trusting them with a client dinner or my time again.

While the close proximity to the Alliance Theater is nice there are other better options around.
Maybe this was just an off night for them, but they were missing quite a few things from the menu and the food came out cold.

The waiter was good but the kitchen slow. My pasta was under cooked. This is not what we've received on prior visits so perhaps it was an off night. But given the size of the tab would expect them to be on top of their game every night.

Atmosphere is nice.

Recommending yes, with caveat.

We dined at Princi Italia on Valentines Day as they were offering what seemed like a lovely special.... $55 for a 4 course dinner. Little did we know that they were not going to offer anything resembling an Italian dish despite that the fact that they are an Italian restaurant! They should have stuck to what they know best. The food (red fish for me and beef tenderloin for husband) was beautifully presented but completely lacking otherwise. The first course, the dessert and our very capable server were the only redeeming parts of this experience. The final joke, was the “4th Course” which was a single strawberry dipped in chocolate laying beside the dessert. Pathetic! The only reason I would still recommend this restaurant is my experience with their regular menu has been favorable. Hopefully this need to offer a Valentine’s Special isn’t an indication that they aren’t doing well. The “4th Course” was called a Warm Kiss Goodbye....hope that’s not a telling sign for the future of this restaurant.

While the food was excellent, the price seemed excessive for what we received. Taking advantage of Valentine's Day to increase your prices was dishonest. Have some integrity!

The restaurant is in a nice and convenient spot. We had a concert that night at the Atlanta symphony and this restaurant is just a few blocks away. We both were disappointed when having appetizers and main courses. Wondering if chefs really did not have time to taste the dishes before putting out. The fish was dry and almost had no taste. A few tiny tasteless shrimps were sprinkled on top . Brussel sprouts were mushy and were very unappealing. I thought any chefs would know how to cook this veggie. The desserts and coffee were decent nonetheless. We assume that those cakes were ordered from elsewhere and were still frozen when they got to us. We did not mind eating frozen dessert so we did not make any comment to our server. The atmosphere of the place was nice and it is such a shame that Italian food could be bad. We don’t want to be mean but want to be honest about our experience. Our dinner was pricey ( expected for restaurants in the area). But we also expect much better food.

I ordered 3 diff bottles of wine and they told me they just sold their last one of each bottle. I also wanted the Wednesday special which was linguine with clam sauce. They didn’t have any clams. Go figure.

We were excited to try this restaurant on Sunday after a 1PM performance at the Fox. I know 4:30 is early for dinner but the restaurant was open. We were told certain pastas and the risotto were not ready as they were still prepping for dinner. They'd been open since brunch that morning so we were slightly confused. In place of the risotto they boiled some gluten free penne and added 3 seared scallops. There wasn't a veggie to be seen, I could have boiled noodles at home, and they did not even try with the sauce. My adult son ordered the red fish with gnocchi and the plate arrived without gnocchi. The server did not believe him and went to check with the kitchen and the kitchen said there was gnocchi. Seriously? A bowl of gnocchi was sent out without any sauce. The shrimp on a couple of plates were super tiny and tasted like they had come from a bag out of the freezer section. We could have gone to the pasta bar at a chain Italian restaurant and gotten the same meals. It was actually my birthday Sunday and I was offered nothing, not even dessert. We were incredibly disappointed.

We waited over an hour and a half between appetizers and main dishes. My veal Marsala was so overcooked it tasted like leather. That was the first dish I’ve ever sent back in 10+ years.

Restaurant has major operational problems in the kitchen. For the price point I would certainly not recommend.

Very nice place. Mussles appetizer was lovely. Fettuchini alfredo with shrimp was nice, but the pasta and meatballs was a bit on the dry side and a bit too al-dente. When you order a glass of wine, be prepared to only get 1/3 or less of a glass.... A bit underpoured there for the price you pay for it. A bit pricy overall, but we enjoyed.

It took 10 minutes for a waiter to even acknowledge us at the table after being sat. The restaurant was not busy but the host was clearly lacking in experience and forgot to tel the waitress that she sat us there. No apologies for the long wait.

Just avoid at all cost. They brought us bad veal that made my bf sick. We’re out of 3 different wines. Out of a pasta disk we asked for but they make their own pasta? It took 50 min for us to get our drinks. Honestly, for a nice night out go elsewhere. This wasn’t worth the money for how poor the service and food was.

Chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner, primarily because it was in the Dining Out Passbook. Overall it was good, but there are other Italian restaurants in Atlanta that we prefer. The dining room was about 30% full at any given time (on a Saturday night). Our waiter was a bit aloof in personality but never left our water glasses empty. The other dining room staff were attentive and friendly. The wine was good, about average pricing. Cocktails looked awesome, but we stuck to wine. We shared the Fig & Gorgonzola Bruschette, carbonara pasta, scallops entree, and scottish salmon entree. The bruschette was good, but was just a ton of figs with very few pieces of cheese. Carbonara flavor was great, but pasta was just a hair too al dente for our taste. The risotto with the scallops was just okay, but seafood itself was tasty. Loved the roasted potatoes with the salmon.

I was really looking forward to trying this place. From the moment we engaged the server, we knew he should seek another career. He actually seemed like he did not want to serve us. The food was worse than the service though. The special of the night was Osso Buco and it was totally flavorless and the risotto was chewy. The Chicken Piccata was underwhelming especially since the piece of chicken was no more than 3oz of meat. The Beef Bolognese seemed to be just pan sauteed beef with no seasoning or gravy poured over pasta. The main flavor was the beef fat. The scallops were not fresh as they tasted very fishy. And finally, we had called ahead to see if they had any vegan options other than just a salad and were assured that several meals could be made without butter to stay vegan. The server checked with the kitchen and they would not accommodate my vegan niece at all. It was very bad customer service. I am amazed this place is still open.

Overall very blasé. We had a cocktail and appetizer at the bar. David the bartender was very good, but the burrata needed to be replaced (which was done cheerfully). We were seated for dinner. Our server, Tim, had no personality, although he was pleasant and did nothing wrong. Dinner was just OK. My wife’s redfish was tasty but very oily. I was very disappointed in Friday’s special Osso Buco. My experience with that dish is that is it very flavorful. Here it was bland, although cooked well. The saffron risotto was not up to snuff. Princi was not up to par with other Italian spots in Atlanta. We will not return-too much better competition.

We’ve been many times, but my food this time was disappointing. Both the arugula salad and the orecchiette pasta were very lacking in flavor and I had to resort to salt and too much cheese to give them taste.

We sat at our table for 14 minutes before we were even greeted or given water and this was only because we waved down a host at around 10 minutes and then a server a few minutes later. We ordered the meat and cheese board which was great and cocktails. Ordered our entrees and wine to go with. The wine arrived before we had even finished our cocktails or received our food. The food arrived quickly. I ordered the red fish with herb gnocchi and Brussels sprouts and my boyfriend has a seafood pasta dish which was described as having a tomato pesto sauce. My dish contained one single gnocchi. My boyfriends dish was essentially noodles with olive oil and a bit of fresh basil, there was very little flavor to his dish and maybe two pieces of tomato to the whole plate. We began eating slowly but needed to speak with the waiter to see if there was anything they could do to correct the dishes. We didn’t see the waiter again for a long time, I had nearly finished my meal before we were able to ask another employee to go find him. Once we explained the issue he offered to bring marinara sauce for the pasta and extra gnocchi for my fish. The extra gnocchi were brought but they were wet, soft and unseasoned, unlike the browned herbed gnocchi that was on the dish. The marinara sauce was a bland crushed tomatoes. When a manager came to speak to us eventually she did not apologize or offer to correct anything at all. When our check came she had given us a measly 10% discount.

This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had in Atlanta. The bland food and poor service could have been apologized for or corrected and I would give it another shot but ultimately the lack of care by management is a clear indicator as to why everything was lacking.
