Princi Italia - Atlanta
Enjoy the taste of traditional Italian cuisine at Princi Italia. Its dimly lit and warm premises with hardwood floors and wooden furniture creates an atmosphere that makes customers feel comfortable and relaxed.
At Princi Italia, guests can start the meal with appetizers, such as a charcuterie dish filled with an assortment of meats, like salami, with different cheeses to supplement.
Prince Italia's menu features platters, such as mussels and capellini marinara with parmesan cheese and basil. Some of its main entrées range between chianti braised short ribs with tomatoes and fingerling potatoes, as well as pan seared scallops with peas and butternut squash risotto.
Food was amazing! Great service, I think our server was Tim, he knew a lot about the menu! Well definitely be returning and we can’t wait to try more food!!!
Unfortunately, it was not a great experience! The waitress, while super sweet, was very unattentive. I was left to have to ask the hostess for items at once as my waitress was no where to be found. The mocktail I had was delicious! But the spaghetti was just mehhh. The sauce was almost non-existent and when I asked for more, it almost tasted burned. My arugula salad also looked very "tired" - so many wilted pieces. I'm pretty easy to please so I didn't say anything, but it wasn't the type of dinner I was hoping for!
I love this restaurant. Food is always great and a short walk to Woodruff Arts Center.
Food was spectacular.
Made for an outstanding brunch on Mother’s Day.
Food is awesome. Service excellent. We both had the seafood scramble and love it. Lobster tortellini was really good too.
One of my favorite restaurants!
Second visit here and we will be back. Food has always been very good and service excellent and friendly. Close to Marta and Woodruff.
Food was excellent.
I’ve eaten here twice before and ordered the spaghetti bolognese, which was very good. So this time decided to change and I ordered the chicken piccata. It was not cooked through and I had to send it back. I ordered the braised short ribs in its place—it was good but part of the meat was very fatty. The manager was very apologetic and said he would comp a dessert but that didn’t happen.
Went here for a graduation dinner celebration and was not disappointed! The saffron fettuccine was so delicious - I’d highly recommend trying it out! The tomato basil flatbread and calamari appetizers were also fantastic.
We loved everything that we ate at Princi Italia! The homemade bread and pasta dough is delicious. The highlight of the evening though was definitely our server (and the delicious after dinner coffee!!)
The service was great, but prices were a little too expensive for the portions they gave. Food was okay—some of our group’s food was too bland (black pepper fettuccini) and some was way too salty (like the fettuccini Alfredo). Might go back and try something else on the menu, like the pizza. There was no dessert menu, so we could not see prices for desserts even though waiters had them memorized. Overall, an okay experience but could’ve been better!
Delicious pasta and chicken piccata! Upcharge to swap out potatoes for pasta?? Great food. Dog friendly
Great atmosphere; excellent fare
This was a great brunch experience! Our hostess made sure that she included everything we needed to know and even gave us food recommendations. We’ll definitely be back! The Black Pepper pasta is AMAZING and so are the beignets.
Prom night made it busy but they teamed up and handled it well. Neat place, great food.
Nice open and airy ambience. One of my favorite venues for a business lunch in the area. Fish was not quite as good on this visit as in the past
I had a group of eight for a prom night, and we ate at Princi Italia. It was amazing! For starters they had free parking for the residents which was great for people driving to the restaurant! The ambience was beautiful light, and the service was outstanding! The food was good in quality and quantity and all for a good price, which was great for a group of eight teens not wanting to overpay! Overall, a great time and amazing food!
Midtown location with parking makes it attractive. We had to find a waiter. The pizza was tasty, but the crust was not crisp- and it came out before our drinks arrived.
We ordered the seafood fettuccine
And it was almost tasteless.
The risotto was basic white rice with sine peas and carrots. Disappointing.
Short ribs and sea bass were tasty.
Would give it another try
Well situated restaurant with reasonably priced food, daily specials and well stocked wine list. Service and ambience matches the food. Does have outdoor seating as well.
Very nice. Got there early and had a great experience.
Tried the saffron fettucine with lobster and shrimp for the first time. Delicious!
Chicken and Waffles for brunch is amazing
Our Bee's Knee's cocktails were terrible and they wouldn't take them back. Appetizers were okay, not bad but not spectacular. My Scottish Salmon was delicious but the fettuccine di mare was, well, eh. My wine was good though, I think it was the 11 Minutes Rose or something like that. If I ever go back, I'll just get the calamari appetizer, the Scottish Salmon, and a bottle of the Rose. I doubt I'll go back though. I was so disappointed, I didn't even want to see the dessert menu and I ALWAYS get dessert.
What I liked most, was that our table of five could talk to each other without yelling, and the restaurant was full. It has nice decor, and it is very conveniently located, since we walked there from the High Museum. Our waiter was very good, but the women at the front desk seemed a bit disorganized (maybe someone was new?). Other tables seemed to be ordering the thin pizza. But we went with pasta, that turned out to be overcooked, unoriginal, and flavorless. My caprese salad was good. And others at our table seemed to like the shrimp and grits. Since we go for the food... I do not know that we will be back.
A good lunch place but not a great place for a corporate dinner. Service was sub-par, the kitchen seemed overwhelmed, some of our order was forgotten and the quality of the entree was less than good.
Great food and willing to accommodate for various dietary restrictions. A little slow on the service and slightly pricey, but great ambience!
I was quite disappointed by my experience. I had balanced expectations based upon the photos, online reviews in the low 4 out of 5, and the online menu. However, the food was unimpressive at best. The braised short ribs was extremely tough. Its appearance was unappetizing. The romano crusted chicken was dry and tasteless. I would not recommend taking a chance on Princi, except for pizza. It seems as if everyone ordered the pizza or flatbread.
Decent Italian food. Pizza was tasty but did not puff up as typical Neapolitan pizza. Oven not hot enough I guess.
Was a lovely restaurant with great service and food delivered quickly, but I wasn’t wowed by the Fettuccini Alfredo I got
I had the meatballs (Beef and Chicken) which were not good. The balls were hard and tasted microwaved and not cooked thoroughly. The sauce was good, but it's not your traditional large meatballs where it falls apart and melts in your mouth.
I also had the short ribs which was cooked nicely. This was just right and very tasty and would recommend. Nothing to shout out about, but I think the meatballs took away the experience.
Mixed result brunch! My eating companions enjoyed their waffley and french toasty choices a lot - the crab cake benedict and the southern bloody mary were both meh. Generally I find the food quality high here, so this was a bit of a disappointment. The service, for a smaller size space, was quite uneven and indifferent, although the greeter and manager were quite pleasant. I think I'll stick to lunch or dinner in the future.
Everything on point! Service, Ambiance, Drinks and Flavor Profiles.
Ordered bottomless mimosa and my glass filled up only 2 times I had to wait 15-20 min for server to fill it up. Also ordered eggs Benedict with crab meat and look in the photo how much crab meat I got.
Also prices are higher than what’s on here for example bottomless mimosa is $10 here but I got charged $18 and had to wait for server to fill it up every time.
Thank you but never again
This was my third visit to Princi Italia and I've still not had a good experience there. I ordered the fig and goat cheese bruschetta appetizer. It was missing balsamic vinegar or something to marry the three components. The pizza I ordered was luke warm and no sauce. Others ordered pizza as well and theirs was cold too. Not going back.
Thanks for our diversion from a very difficult week!
This was our second visit and did not disappoint! There is something for everyone on the menu. You can’t pick wrong!
Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was nice too! I will definitely be back.
We had a terrible server. She didn’t come to our table for a long time, more or less tossed our plates on the table, refused to take our food order with our appetizer order, never asked us how we enjoyed our meal, and never offered us dessert. The food was fantastic though
We had a great waitress but we have to say that the food was just not good. There was 4 of us and 3 of us had meals that were just not prepared well. We had a pretty good time because of our server but, we just can’t recommend the restaurant because of the food.
