Olvera recombines Mexico’s nearly infinite ingredients and flavors, demonstrating and extraordinary food culture’s potential in obsessive detail. - Private dining room - For parties from 9 to 14 people. - We charge 20% of gratuity at the end of the event. - We consider this space as the private room, the meal will be served as family style, that been said, the kitchen will choose the 4th and 6th courses according to you and your guest's preferences and dietary restrictions. Your server will elaborate a bit more on this at the time of the event.

En comparación con el Pujol de 2019, el menú hay que calificarlo ahora como mediocre. Todavía excelente en ingredientes, y mejor que muchos otros, pero Pujol no es Pujol. De bandera de innovación de comida mexicana, ahora ofrece un menú más parecido a los restaurantes Michelin californianos, sin innovación y con falta de tradición mexicana. Del postre ni hablo. Los churros de la esquina de mi casa tienen más sabor.
No hay queja en la bebida, con una selección excepcional en coctelería y vinos, y un somelier capaz de seleccionar con atino y adaptarse al cliente.

Hubo un detalle que nos dejó inquietos:
Antes de empezar el sommelier nos dijo “Les ofrezco una copa de Champagne, Franciacorta o Cava?”.
Nos encontramos estas copas “ofrecidas” en la cuenta...
Por las palabras usadas pensamos fueran de cortesía o en el maridaje.
Cuando empezó la cena nos pregunto “desean vino por botella y por copeo”; creo que esto hubiera tenido que preguntarlo antes de “ofrecer” algo que íbamos a pagar, no creen? Con el precio de las dos copas hubiéramos casi comprado una botella más.. no es para el dinero cuánto porque esta mala comunicación arruinó la experiencia!

Además de esto creo que falto el maridaje para completar la experiencia! Nos dimos cuenta que no estaba solo cuando nos pregunto si queramos botella o copeo!

Cibo, arquitectura y ambientes por otro lado excelentes!

Es un muy buen restaurante si eres extranjero y no te molesta gastarte $300-$400 USD y salir con hambre... que lástima que por el precio no ofrezcan más que un mini sope, una tostada, un aguachile y un mole (sin proteína) enfocado 100% a los extranjeros que se dejan deslumbrar por nombres exoticos

Cumple con la comida salvo el postre que es un poco mas simple. La mesera Magdalena muy bien y sabe su speech muy bien. Los baños deben mejorar sus paneles de madera que no esta bien trabajada wntre otros detalles. Lo muy malo: te ofrecen agua y cuando dices que si no te advierten que puede ser de filtro o de botella y te dan la botella de 155 pesos!. Eso si es de muy baja calidad y da MUY mala impresión sea el restaurante que sea. Lo abarata y desprestigia. Sr Olvera tome nota, es su reputacion que seguramente le ha costado mucho labrar.

Visitar el Pujol es como estar en medio de una orquesta perfectamente armonizada. Cada platillo es un deleite y combina mágicamente con el siguiente; el servicio pulcro, elegante en cada palabra y movimiento. Todo es un deleite muy recomendable.

From start to finish I was entranced by the atmosphere of Pujol. A tranquil and inviting presence greets you as you enter the impeccably designed dining space. I was seated promptly and was greeted with what I can only assume was a smile (masked up!) from my server Alfonso(?)
We discussed for awhile about cooking and my travels through Mexico before deciding on the Omakaze tasting menu. He was wonderful, super friendly, spoke Spanish with me even though I’m terrible at it, and was an excellent help in selecting the right wine to pair with my meal.

The entire meal was divine but here were some of my highlights

-Baby corn served in a smoking gourd with ant mayonnaise (GD delicious!)
-Kampachi crudo w/avocado taco served on house made blue corn tortilla
-The cauliflower taco w/ mussel encacahuatado
-Octo taco
The madre mole (obvi)

Like I said, it was exquisite from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and make a stop by here when visiting Mexico City. It is a little on the pricey side but I promise it’s totally worth it

We flew to Mexico City for this wonderful meal. The service team was on top of its game and didn’t miss a beat with their gracious hospitality. The food was, simply put, dreamy. Each dish transported us through Mexico’s vibrant culinary history and showcased its finest ingredients. The wine pairings were spot on and took the experience to the next level. My only regret was having a late lunch! By the time we got to course 6, we were maxed ... but somehow managed to squeeze in a lovely dessert!

Me pusieron un cubierto sucio y los hielos sabían y olían ahumados lo cual arruinó el sabor de nuestras bebidas desde una coca hasta un licor del 43. Por el costo se espera que todo sea impecable o por lo menos normal.

La opción de parear vinos con la comida no es buena ni tampoco justa... La comida es maravillosa y justa al precio, sin embargo la oferta de copas de vino a cada dos cursos salió el doble de la comida!
Para qué? Un restaurante de esa posición no necesita hacer eso...
Sugiero que elijan una botella, no es justa la oferta de copas como la hacen...
Hubiera sido perfecta la noche, mas tengo ese malo recuerdo...

La experiencia, en general, fue buena. Eso es lo negativo de un sitio como este, que todo debería ser excelente dadas la fama del restaurante y el nivel del chef. Los platillos que se incluyeron en el menú de degustación fueron disparejos; algunos fueron excelentes, pero otros buenos a secas. Podría decir que la narrativa de la degustación no sigue una línea estable y coherente. Me parece que el chef se equivocó al mezclar ingredientes netamente mexicanos con unas variaciones orientales que no resultan del todo afortunadas. La expectativa era amplia y el recuerdo de las visitas anteriores contribuyó a incrementarla, sin embargo, el resultado terminó siendo solo bueno, lo que hace que la relación entre el costo y lo que se entregó, no sea favorable. Recomendaría el menú actual con reservas.

Very clean, everyone was following sanitation protocols (temp taken, wearing mask, face shield). The wait staff was professional but did seem a little confused. The dishes were served by different people, and it seemed they weren't sure who was bringing out what dish for each table. Some staff seemed more knowledgeable on the dishes than others, it was little frustrating not getting the same type of description for each dish. The wait time between dishes was quite lengthy, another table beside us also noticed this and made a formal complaint. Did not think it was that big a deal, but it would have been nice to see a consistent pace between dishes. The food itself was satisfactory, some dishes were better than others. Our waiter offered a mezcal pairing that went very well with the mole madre, definitely recommend this addition to the tasting menu. Overall it was a good experience, not sure if I would come back, but worth the single visit.

In Mexico you really have a huge amount of really good restaurants for half prize than Pujol.
The tasted menu cost 2,300$ without wine.. and it definitely doent worth the value you pay. Its is 5 dishes menu and it gives you JUST one small piece of fish (lobina) and a ceviche...
I will probably wont go again... id rather prefer spend the same money on 2 or 3 good restaurants at the city!!! But for one day experience its ok...

Unica critica fuera precio. Se me hace muy muy exclusivo el grupo de parejas que pueden dejar mas de 6,000 pesos (comida y tragos) por una degustacion

It’s a good restaurant but not for the price.. you can eat better in Mexico with half of the price.. it’s more the “name” than the reality.
Just as an example a glass of cabs 400k around 40usd..
