The food and service were amazing - khumb galouti, malai broccoli, goat biryani, chicken curry, goat cheese kulcha and kathal kofta were all exceptional - the lemon naan was an unexpected tasty treat! Oh and the desserts - chocolate cake and the paneer cheesecake - I am still dreaming about them! But most of all, the coronavirus prep was unmatched - a person at the front door so guests didn't have to touch the door handle, a person wiping the restroom door handle after each use, our table was sanitized after every course, and all waiters were wearing gloves - it was very reassuring.
Great service, food was exceptional all the way through dessert. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing dinner experience! Food and service...the best!
Amazing flavors, perfect service.
simply wonderful dining experience in the District
Really enjoyed the service . Food was definitely good , would like tot eat more things before I give a full review . The drinks were good. The owner makes an effort to check on all tables which show true service .
I don’t ever do reviews for restaurants, but our experience at this one was exceptional. The service, the decor, the cocktails, and the food were all fantastic! We will be back!
highly recommend. some of the best and creative indian food we have had.
Exquisite food & presentation. Very knowledgeable & attentive server who turned out to be the pastry chef. Both desserts our 4-some sampled were both beautiful & tasty.
Great food, decor, and service. I only wish you have seating for two in a more intimate part of the restaurant other than the one side that feels like a passage between service station and tables.
I have been to Punjab Grill like 8-10 times now with different people every time. All the guests that I have brought with me have loved the ambiance, the food, the atmosphere, the service. It is probably the BEST Indian Restaurant in DC today. I always request Makhail (sp?) to be my server. Her service is AMAZING. Go here, you will not regret it. Its a perfect place for special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries...etc.
Everything we ordered was from great to fantastic, even old standbys like chicken tikka sampler. Inventive drinks, perfectly spiced sides & entrees, and a delectable ensemble of desserts combined with friendly and attentive service made for a memorable evening.
Fabulous food, beautiful decor. Flawless. Loved it and will go again!
I went to a luncheon and everything was simply fabulous. I can’t wait to go again!!
One of our fav restaurants. We come back again and again. Not only is the food great, they have a comprehensive wine list AND great craft cocktails. Very knowledgeable bartenders. This place has some of the best service in the entire city. Nice work Karan, you have created a wonderful culture.
The food was absolutely amazing. Sea bass cooked to perfection, it's accompanying sauce just enhancing the entire flavor; Chicken in red curry was done with dark meat, so the textures and flavors, again...perfect and amazing. Broccoli in cheese sauce was a huge winner at our table, as was the tuna tartar. And dessert...not usually a thing at an Indian restaurant, but oh, wow.....the chocolate pistachio torte and the blueberry dessert...amazing! Service was a little off.....we were seated right away, acknowledged by our server immediately and then...about 20 minutes before drink orders taken and another at least 20 minutes before we had our drinks. Then a long time before food orders were taken and then everything came out all at once...appetizers, entrees and my friend's cocktail! One friend had ordered an appetizer as her entree and maybe it was misunderstood at that point that the appetizers should come with the entrees. Not sure. But the server was lovely and definitely did her best to make it all right. All in all a wonderful experience and the food was easily the best Indian I've ever had...even comparing to Rasika.
Five of us ordered nearly all the pescatarian items on the menu. The salmon and sea bass were delectable, while the papardam appetizer with multiple chutneys was praised by all. This was our third visit; there will be more.
All excellent. Happy to see my people from Fiola Mare
Every single morsel was an explosion in our mouths. So fresh . Loved all the different flavours that seemed to meld together.
We are from Denver. There is NOTHING like this there.
We would go back in a heartbeat!!!
Overall we were happy, but there were things we weren’t so happy about and by writing about them, I hope and believe that the management will take care of them in the future. We weren’t happy with our seat, it was right next to the door, lots of traffic. Food was great! The only thing we didn’t like was the lamb (24karat...). It wasn’t special at all, especially considering the price.
