There were four of us for Happy Hour - we were seated right away, had excellent service. It was fun mixing and matching the individual plates and sharing family style. This place is definitely on our repeat list!

Always fantastic sushi!! Incredibly fresh - it melts in your mouth. Service is always pretty good too— it can get a little noisy inside, but fine if you don’t mind the action.

Pure Sushi is a true neighborhood gem that we frequent on a regular basis. The overall quality of the food has always been excellent, although on this particular visit, I encountered an unexpected disappointment with the Udon soup noodle. It had an overpowering sourness due to an infusion of pickle juice and the use of pickled bok choy, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish. In terms of service, Pure Sushi consistently provides a fair to good experience. However, it does seem that they often find themselves understaffed, leading to some delays in service. For instance, my wine was only brought to the table after we had already finished our appetizers. While this was a minor inconvenience, it did affect the flow of our dining experience. On a positive note, the price point at Pure Sushi is very reasonable, making it an enticing option for diners. Additionally, their menu showcases a creative range of dishes, which adds to the overall appeal of the restaurant. Despite the service hiccups, the delightful culinary offerings would undoubtedly draw us back for another visit. In the hopes of continued improvement, it would be wonderful to see the service at Pure Sushi enhanced. Allocating additional staff or streamlining processes could help to ensure a smoother and more attentive dining experience. Additionally, periodically refreshing the menu would be a welcomed change, offering regular patrons an opportunity to explore new and exciting flavors. Overall, Pure Sushi remains a place we genuinely enjoy visiting, thanks to its noteworthy cuisine and reasonable prices. With some attention to service and menu updates, it has the potential to become an even more outstanding dining destination in our neighborhood.

Our meal last evening was outstanding. Had King Salmon, Yellowtail and Tuna Belly sashimi. Followed by Geisha Roll, Phoenix Roll and Loch Ness Roll. Incredibly fresh and prepared to perfection. Lots of flavors with a light spice. Excellent dinner.

Sushi and Sashimi was excellent, wait service very attentive, the only complaint for us older folks was the table we had had these high barstool like chairs in the back room. If you put your feet on the foot rest it was uncomfortable, and if you let your feet dangle it cut circulation in your legs. Next time I will ask for a regular table. Other than that we where pleased.

We have been going to Pure for a number of years and can't remember a worst dinner. The waitress took our order for every dish that we wanted. BAD MISTAKE because all of the food came out at the same time instead of soup first, then appetizers, then entrees as it would in a normal restaurant. The chicken teriyaki had to be sent back because the chicken was tough and overcooked. They must have had a management or ownership turnover because the food has never been bad. But is now.

After reading other reviews we were disappointed. The tempura was greasy, the chicken in the fried rice was dry and there was a piece of metal in it. The sashimi was good. Pity it arrived at the end of the meal, when we were too full to enjoy it, rather than the beginning.

Craig…a manager for 13 years he told me…was beyond rude to me. He told me I had an hour am 15 min to eat because others with reservations were coming. I also had a reservation. I chatted with him about how demoralized I was when I was offered a booth. I’M PARALYZED, by the way…so getting in a booth isn’t always an easy option for me. I had a friend who came over because when I was talking to him…he became very rude and loud. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, I’ve NEVER been treated like that. Now I see why some of my friends in wheelchairs just stay home….because of people like Craig who treat us like this. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE!!! Bye Pure. I just chose to not put myself in those situations.
