Purple Café and Wine Bar pairs a global wine selection with a menu that combines classic American styles with seasonal Northwest ingredients.

We feature an expansive menu ranging from artisan cheeses, starters, soups, salads, sandwiches and pizzas to pasta and seafood. We take a great deal of pride in utilizing the most fresh and local ingredients.

On the wine side of things our wine list features over 80 glass and 600 bottle selections. Really good food paired with extensive wine choice - huge choice of wines by the glass . Quality dishes - had chopped salad with steak and meat was superbly cooked . Crème brûlée was silky smooth and great way to finish . Good service - not overpowering , friendly and genuine.

Generally good. We were delayed in getting to table due to confusing us as part of larger group. Our waiter read the situation well and we had timely service after that. The food was excellent and the split wine offerings allow great opportunity to explore

Our dinner order was very late and the second glasses of wine never showed. As our dessert order was also never put in. So we left after paying our bill very disappointed.

We had a lovely time! The food was excellent and the wine was tasty. They even had non-alcoholic options if needed. The staff did an awesome job. Crystal was patient with us when we asked for parking recommendations and was really nice to my friend (which I greatly appreciate). We had multiple waiters go out of their way to make sure our table was taken care of.

Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu. My good friend, who was visiting from Birmingham, and I had an excellent dining experience. We enjoyed the server's recommendations as well as the great wine pairing that was suggested.

I'm so incredibly thankful that I found this place. From the moment we walked in the door, until when we left, every aspect of our experience was excellent. The hostess was kind and accommodating, the server gave us excellent recommendations and took care of our every need, and having delicious vegan options for myself was such a delight. Oftentimes, chefs just throw together some ingredients and call it vegan, not thinking about taste or composition. It is clear that Purple Cafe cares about all of their customers. Thank you so much to our server Francesca, and the entire staff--both front of house and back.

Very quiet so not much atmosphere when I visited. Took a minute to be seen by server and then food came instantly - took about 10-15 mins to get change from paying check which was a surprise as it was not busy. Food very average.

Main course was disappointing and not as good as the timesbefore. Dessert was on the other hand delicious. Wine list is not very original or creative anymore. Purple needs to set up to former glory. I hope it was an “off day” as it is our go to restaurant in Seattle.

We went for lunch and had their special sandwich of the day and an spectacular cauliflower dish. They also had a bloody mary special which was more like a caesar, in a good way. The flavours of horseradish , tabasco, spices and clamato were perfecty balanced. Our waiter Alfonso was charming and helpful. The atmosphere for lunch is very different than when we were at Purple for dinner a long time ago. It is quiet, slow paced and there is lots of time to admire the wine stair case

This was a business dinner with an overseas guest. The food was embarrassingly bad! Both my guest and I ordered the spicy shrimp pasta dish. The pasta was so overdone, it was a mushy texture and inedible. Our third party ordered the papaya salad, which she said was just ok. I believe my house salad had some dressing, but if it did, it was tasteless. The wine was perfectly chilled and tasty. The only good thing about the experience. I also think that at a restaurant that positions and prices itself as fine dining, a real menu rather than ordering from a QR code menu on my phone, would be expected.

Walked past this restaurant and decided to book it for lunch as it is a very large wine bar. We were immediately seated for lunch at the bar. This is a very large, open space. The windows are from the floor to the ceiling. A very great looking place. They have a very extensible, unique wine list from wines all over the world. Ordered a Caesar salad which was very good and lightly dressed with very good leaves. Also got a salmon burger with fries. The salmon burger was exactly what it was supposed to be. The fries are classic fresh cut and crispy. I wish more places did fries like this. The only disappointing dish is their grilled calamari dish. The server did let us know that it was grilled not fried, which was definitely our preference, but did not anticipate the dish being as busy at it is. Too much tomato sauce and the grilled calamari was not as tender as expected. I would come back here for the wine selections alone.
