Located in the heart of downtown Long Beach, Radish is a celebration of the agricultural spirit of the Gulf Coast and the unlikely connection between a charming coastal town and the humble root vegetable that put it on the map. Nineteenth-century farmers took advantage of the L&N Railroad and the opportunity to ship the fruits of their labor northward. The favored Yankee bar snack of the day was a long scarlet radish dipped in luxurious butter and coarse salt. The good times lasted until Prohibition, when local bars shuttered and demand for the Long Beach Red dried up. Today, Radish, led by Chefs William Rester and Lauren Joffrion, embraces time-honored techniques and traditions to create an ingredient-driven menu that showcases what it means to eat and drink in the South.

Our waitress was friendly and gave great suggestions on the menu. The place was quite and should not be with the amazing food choices. A bit pricey and great for a date night or celebration, the price was worth the food! Try the crab appetizer and had an amazing cocktail too! Can't beat this for a fun night out.

Had an amazing experience for dinner last night. I had someone who was supposed to come with special dietary needs and the chef made sure there were items on the menu for them to enjoy. Anna, the bartender, was phenomenal and the ideal bar tender. Highly recommend the crab beignets, radish appetizer, and kale Caesar.

The radish appetizer was delicious. (Ordered one to take home.) The kale salad was good. The catch of the day was delicious. (Ordered one to take home.) The duck was way over cooked and chewy. Just my take on what we had. The service was acceptable. The price for what we got was a little expensive. Still tipped the server $50 cash on a $225 meal. People still have to make a living wage. Thanks Abby!

I’ve eaten there multiple times now and it’s very consistent fine dining. The portion sizes are generous. You can’t go wrong with the gnocchi. The drinks are also very good. We try to get there for happy hour as they make a great Mojito menu changes enough so I can try something new every now and then.

Overall the food was quite good, I just have a personal issue with food that isn’t dessert being sweet. The starter cornbread was very sweet and the beet salad had honey. As I said, this is my personal preference so others might enjoy the sugar. But the steak was delicious and tender. The grouper was also a hit. Next time I’ll ask which dishes aren’t sweet but I do hope to return!

So happy we chose Radish for our date night! Erica took great care of us. Her suggestions from the menu were on point, and the cocktails she made us were delicious! We loved the crab bengiets and the whipped goat cheese and radishes! Our main entrees were delicious! The grouper was cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed the many flavors and textures of the dish. We will definitely be back!

The waitress was not accommodating concerning my dietary needs and seemed bugged so I ordered something I didn't want. The water was not iced and in a small glass. The chefs culinary adventure was creative and delicious. The ambience was stark and low rent in comparison to the inflated prices.

Had the burnt ends as an appetizer and they were very good. Whe then ordered 2 lunches. The crake cake sandwich which was a very generous size but was dry and could not taste any crabmeat. Also ordered the Buffalo chicken salad which was tasty . Overall was not wowed! Crab cake was definitely a disappointment and it was my friends birthday gift from me.

Food was excellent, service not so much. Fried potato salad and waygu burgers were delicious. Server brought out food, but not silverware. She asked if we were ready to order about 10 mins after we ordered. Hope she was new.

The food was good. It is a very small place, thus if you happened to be in the restaurant with a noisy table, it is impossible to enjoy the friends at your table with conversations. I would recommend with notes about the noise level. The service was very slow, and everyone got food at different times. Nice place but they need to improve the sound quality and the service level.

Phenomenal food. It was obvious that everything was carefully crafted and thoughtful. The food was incredibly fresh and visually appealing. My friend just discovered that she has a gluten intolerance and was really nervous about eating out. She called ahead and said that everyone was so nice and accommodating. Such a quaint place with a great "date night" atmosphere! I can't wait to go back.

My husband and I ordered appetizers to share. Burnt pork belly ends with pickled peaches, fries, and crab beignets with pepper jelly. Holy smokes! Everything tasted amazing! I also ordered the Lovely Rita. It was a little strong for my taste, but still good. Highly recommend Radish!

Dinner for two. First for service, our waitress was "outstanding" friendly, helpful and when I asked about the delicious cherries in my Manhattan, she not only told me but brought us extra. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful, dining room a little small but that probably kept the noise level down. The food was interesting, I got the duck and my husband the pork chop. The pork shop was a little overdone probably due to the medium thickness but hubs said it was tasty and well complemented by the grits and greens. The duck (ordered medium) was delicious however the savory (?) french toast was not a winner, also the whole plate was overpowered by the beet juice. The beets appeared to be from a jar and there was way too much beet juice that saturated the toast. We will probably be back once more to try something different, but if it ends up being mediocre we won't make the drive from Biloxi again.

We had a phenomenal dinner at Radish on May 20, ‘23. We were visiting from Atlanta and kept saying how we wished Radish had an Atlanta location so we could go there all the time! We had the radishes + goat cheese appetizer, plus the molasses cornbread, to start. Both were sooooo delicious. For entrees we had the pork chop and the gnocchi pasta dishes. I did not try the pork chop but my husband loved it. The gnocchi I had was truly special~ the texture and composition of the dumplings were perfection!! We did not have dessert because we were too full. I wish we could have made room! Last but definitely not least, the cocktails were exceptional!!! I had the Empire and the Duchess and both were fantastic, but if I had to pick one I would say the Empire was my fave b/c it was so unique and cool. My husband had an old fashioned that he thoroughly enjoyed and the Radish cocktail w/ hibiscus and mint (I can’t remember what it was called). Overall our experience was top-notch and we highly, highly recommend it!!

The service was impeccable. They brought out a lovely complimentary Pam of amazing cornbread. Their cocktails are top notch. We all loved our entrees. Sadly we were too full for desert. This place is amazing.

We ordered 7 different dishes, all of them were excessively salty. The service was incredibly slow as there was only 2 waitresses to serve inside and outside. Waited for menus, water, absolutely everything. Would not recommend this restaurant again.
