    Celebrate the new year Peruvian style! Our 5 course, 2 hour, tasting menu will have you exploring aspects of Peru's rich and diverse food scene. The cost of our 1st seating is $150 (reservation start times 4:30pm - 5:30pm) and our 2nd seating is $170 (reservation start times 7pm - 10pm). 2023 was a phenomenal year for Peru because Central - the restaurant where Lizardo Becerra and Hibett Antiporta began their careers - won 1st prize on the World's 50 Best Restaurants. As we bring Peruvian food to Ottawa, we will continue to bring culinary excellence here in Canada. Our chef's are planning a unique five course menu with meat, seafood & dairy. Please write if you would like the pescatarian, vegan option, or specific dietary restrictions.

    We have eaten in many diverse ethnic restaurants byt this was our first experience at a Peruvian restauarant and our taste buds were thoroughly extatitic as the flavours were fantastic. The stevice was friendly and efficient. The quality of the food was top notch and the price reflects this.

    We were able to change tables without a problem because our initial seating was by the door and was a bit cool. We enjoyed the dinner! however, my partner's portion size was a bit small, Ceviche, considering the cost. The desserts and drinks were excellent.

    Went to Raphael last night with my friend. The ambiance and decor were really tasteful. Everything on the menu looked really good; it was difficult to decide which ones we wanted to order. We ordered 4 dishes to share, all delicious and beautiful. Each one was better than the next. The food is fresh, and the ingredients were pretty intricate. The prices are more than reasonable for what you’re getting. We each had a cocktail; both were well-balanced. The service was top-notch, thanks to Francisco. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes!

    The food was OK. My partner found that the food was too salty and balance of flavours was off. I've had excellent peruvian food in the past, but some of the plates here missed the mark. Also, food is expensive. Ingredients are good quality, but if flavours are off, not that enjoyable. Our favourite plate was the ceviche (lacked a but of acidity, but good). We didn't like the shrimp main course (lacked flavour/freshness) and the beef skewers (really really salty). Service was really good and ambience excellent.

    We went to Raphael to celebrate an anniversary. The decor when you arrive is very luxe, and notably has a good ambience for both something more intimate or a dinner with a larger group since they have a good variety of seating configurations. The hostess and our server, Georgia, were both really lovely and welcoming. The hostess gave a great recommendation to try the Causa de Pulpo from the tapas menu. We started with bubbles and a requisite pisco sour, both delightful. We were seeing a show at the NAC later that evening, so had a fixed schedule. With that in mind, we opted to order tapas only so that we could have a good variety of menu items, but perhaps be a bit quicker in terms of delivery from the kitchen. I'd say it worked out really well, we started with the Causa de Pulpo and the Humboldt Squid. Both were exceptionally good. The potato terrine of the Causa was really silky, but still left a lot of flavor room for the octopus to shine. The squid was also really nice. Texturally it was perfect, and the battering was so light. It's going to sound weird, but the crispy plantains with it smelled incredibly good. The two sauces with the squid were also delicious, the aji de la casa being more interesting in my opinion. We had room and time left to try something else, so ordered the Rockfish Tiradito. Highlights included the emulsion (super light and flavorful), and the chulpe texture/flavor. Wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the sweet potato, but it meshes really well with the rest of the dish. We didn't have time to do dessert before the show, but actually ended up coming back after for coffee and dessert. I don't recall the names of the desserts (the dessert menu isn't available on their website), but I had an orange glazed flan while my partner had I think a whipped pistachio layered dessert. Both very good, though perhaps a touch sweet. All in all, we had a great night, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring visiting family and friends here!

    Nice discovery! Food was really good (Causa de Pulpo, Ceviche classico and Soursop Meringue for dessert). Pisco Sour was really good as well. Loved the Ambience! Great service by Meara (even a little bit of French speaking that was much appreciated). A bit pricey though!

    The waiter that we had last night was amazing. As we weren't familiar with the dishes, he took the time to explain some of the chef's favourites and helped us with pairing the wine. An amazing evening with excellent food.

    I liked everything :the welcoming, the service, the diner, the drink. My friends speak only french, the waitress was great on explaining the menu. When we left, one friend forgot her shopping back, they called and kept it for her. I DO recommend this restaurant. Great experience!
