   Incredible service and atmosphere. We were made to feel like royalty! The food is absolutely comparable to none. Easily one of the top 3 places I’ve ever dined! Go with an empty stomach and prepare to have your taste buds blown away. Equally impressed with their imaginative cocktails and edible flowers!

   This was our first time at Rapscallion and didn’t know what to expect and everything was absolutely amazing! The restaurant has a very old school almost speakeasy vibe at the back where we sat which was pretty cool. The service was great, quick and friendly and attentive staff. Now onto the food…AMAZING! We ordered the Dumplings, Grilled Cheese, Brisket and The Hen and every dish they brought out was even better than the next! So much flavour in every dish, nothing was bland and everything was hot and delicious. It’s hard to choose a favourite but the Dumplings were probably at the top for us. Smaller portions mean great for sharing. 4 dishes for the 2 of us was plenty. Also, the drinks were fantastic! We will definitely be back and we can’t wait to bring some friends with us. Definitely recommend check Rapscallion out! Thanks for a great experience!

   I saw this restaurant on a ‘You’ve Gotta Eat Here’ episode and it didn’t disappoint. Mo our gracious server who helped make a gathering of good company just awesome. The whipped feta and the chicken liver pâté to the brisket. I can’t, you just have to go and I plan on revisiting until I have everything on that menu!

   From the moment we arrived, to the time we left, staff was very warm and personable. Cocktails and food dishes were delicious and speedy! Even though our reservation was later, we never felt rushed to leave and our server was very friendly! Definitely will be back!

   Amazing experience, the food was delicious! The waitress was kind, attentive, knowledgeable and was able to give great recommendations. What we chose from her recommendation was a good choice indeed! The Oyster and bone marrow portions were smaller than expected. While eating dinner I made another reservation for my birthday (we had come for my boyfriends birthday). We cannot wait to come back! Thank you and see you soon!

    The food was great. The service was lovely but sometimes a bit too long. Had to ask several times for bread, and one question about the menu never got answered. Very polite though, and smily. The piano was a nice addition to the ambiance.

    Our Water was wonderful & the staff all friendly. The atmosphere was very cozy but we needed to use our phone light to read the menu & difficult to see the food. The food was scrumptious & good portions for sharing. Will definitely return

    Although the food was excellent I had reserved a table for Beatles brunch . When we arrived apparently our table had been given to someone else with a similar sounding name and they quickly set up a table in the back right beside the kitchen where the only sound we heard was the kitchen staff banter. I asked about the music and was told the sound system was out of order . There was Beatles music playing in the front section of the restaurant where I assume our table should have been. Very disappointed today

    One of my absolute favourite spots in town. Whether it’s brunch or dinner, a date or a girls night out, this is the place. Everything is top notch, from the food to the service to the cocktails to the gorgeous room. Always an excellent choice.

    My dad really enjoyed the Beatles playlist as I knew he would ! Which made my birthday brunch a memorable date with him. It was also very kind and generous to comp my birthday drink :) it was a special start to a wonderful 31st year!

    Our second trip to Rapscalion. Love the interior at the front of the restaurant less so at the back. Music too loud and not to our taste. Service very good with Jason. My shrimp and lobster pasta not very good. Very small portion. Really no lobster. Nothing special about the dish. Did point this out to Jason and the manager came by and took it off our bill--we appreciated this very much. My wife's dish --the hen -- was very good. Nice dessert -- just the right amount. Drinks good. Will come back

    Seating is horrible. We were stuck in a tiny bistro table set with high chairs. My wife's legs were going numb from sitting in them for 1.5 hours. Her legs couldn't reach anything to rest her feet on and was very uncomfortable for the entire time. We also asked for the option to have the chef choose our plates. We were only given bread items. We didn't get served any vegetables dish. After eating 2 bread items that were chosen for us ( whipped feta and the best grilled cheese) we asked for the lamb and while eating the lamb they asked if we wanted bread to dip our food in. I will not go back to this place and regret going. They are not even close to being in the same class as Ancaster Mill or Quatrefoil even though they present themselves as a fine dining establishment. If I wanted to eat bread all night I would go to a bakery

    Food was great! Considering the table was booked earlier in the week and I indicated that it was a birthday meal on OpenTable, I expected our seating to be somewhere other than a high top next to the bar and some concerted service to make my partner feel special, but I suppose this is something I could have phones about directly to the restaurant. Otherwise, the food was delicious and reasonably portioned for the price knowing that the menu is designed for shareable plates.

    This is our second time at Rapscallion. We came here last night for our 6th anniversary dinner. We were seated in the room in the back, which is nice and cozy. The food was great as always, but a larger table of birthday diners to our left sort of ruined the ambiance. Nothing the restaurant can control, but quite annoying when you can’t hear each other talk. The one difference I noticed this time was the service was a bit robotic. Perhaps they’re short staffed or the employees are burnt out like everyone else in the hospitality industry, but it was a stark change from

    The dinner experience at Rapscallion was nothing short of amazing! The team at Rapscallion went above and beyond to make our birthday event unforgettable. Ashley was incredibly accommodating and helpful while planning our large gathering. I am very grateful for all the corresponding in advance that made the evening run smoothly and well organized. Our server Jason was outstanding!! A few of our guests said “he’s the best server we’ve ever had”. Jason was friendly, efficient, and very attentive. He made us laugh, was able to add dishes in a timely matter that was not on our pre-order, and even called our next reservation to let them know we were going to be running late. We were all blown away by his efforts. He is one of a kind! To the heart of house, the food was ridiculous! Bravo! Everyone was raving about their meals saying, “you have to try this”! The bone marrow, steak, and gnocchi were a few of the raved about dishes, but everything came out deliciously perfect! Thank you! I would like to personally thank Jason, Ashley, and the whole team at Rapscallion for creating a beautiful evening for our guests to celebrate our dear friend! I cannot wait to book more events, but also come in regularly with my partner. Thank you once again!

    Definitely my new favourite restaurant! The service was outstanding. The restaurant was full but the staff never made you feel like they were rushing you. Very professional, very friendly, so much fun! Took the time to explain the food and offer suggestions. The food was incredible. Different from anything we’ve ever had but non the less delicious beyond description. The ambiance had a super cool kind of hipster feel to it. Loved every minute and can’t wait to go back again.

    Where should I start?!? Food, service, ambiance, EVERYTHING was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The host seated us at a nice table then said Happy Birthday to my mom. Our server was exceptional. We wanted to take our time so the food came out in courses. It was perfection. We splurged on an after dinner drink and dessert. Wow, I'd recommend the banana liquor after dinner drink. Tasty. We had oysters that were so fresh along with their kale salad. We shared all the plates...duck wontons, salmon and lamb was our final course. The bartender even popped over to see if we needed anything. They have live music on Wednesdays. It was a nice touch. Overall my mother had a great birthday experience because of the service and food. I'll definitely be going again!
