The decor is nice and has great view of the water. But the tablecloth was dirty and I was surprised to see no customers on a nice Saturday lunch time. Ordered chicken katsu curry and it tasted like soap and the chicken was really dry. We also ordered 4 rolls. They were all bland and didn't taste good. I was very hungry so I would have ate anything but we didn't eat much. The price is not cheap either. For 4 rolls, side of fries and 1 katsu curry dish was over $80. Will not return here. No one wonder its quiet there.

My wife got a coupon for this place from her work so we decided to check it out. First of all, it appears they don't know anything about OpenTable because, though we made reservations via the app they had no idea and it was open seating anyway. The main problem was they had one server dealing with a crowd on a Friday night when there was a street festival going on. Bad planning my management there. But we sat a good long time and were told someone would bring us some menus. Then we got passed several times by the one wait staff and the man busing tables and got nothing. Finally, we just got up and left. No idea how the food was. Didn't get a chance to eat.

The sushi here is exceptional! It's location and proximity to the water and shops is awesome. Really nice patio area but the inside is dated and unappealing.

The restaurant was busy but I just used this app to make a reservation. There was a guitarist. Indoor and the bar was full. The outside table was available so I asked s staff and set there. Interesting things started happening. People would gather up in small tables and grab chairs. This would happen again & again and I eventually saw 2 empty tables and people started grabbing bar tables from indoor. Crispy roll only comes in chicken when menu said beef pork chicken or tofu. They also did not have gomae salad. Menu needed updating and they need 30 more chairs and someone with spatial skills, cause the sitting was a mess in & out. People ran the place. No one was available to solve problems. I’ll probably never visit this place again.

They didn’t know the restaurant took reservations Didn’t know what open table was and I think the staff hated me for it. Our experience there was awful and honestly maybe it could have been an off night, but man it’s hard to find a maybe when this was literally the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I would say try it for your self and don’t do a reservation.

Enjoyed sitting on the patio in the afternoon. Service was lovely, and food delicious. Ate the ceviche and Dynamite roll. Both delicious and I loved bragging about the scallops on the Dynamite Roll.

Had a great experience at Raw Bar 89 but apparently they are having problems with Open Table so they didn't get our reservation!! This wasn't a problem for us as there were a lot of open tables when we went there, but it's good to note.

I've always passed this place, and finally decided to try it. We came in around 6pm, and there were about 4-5 other tables. The waiter was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant was clean...I always check out the bathroom, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The food was good and the drinks were not watered down at all. Will be back again.

I made a reservation in advance on Open Table for my significant other's birthday at Raw Bar 89. I was, of course, surprised to discover after we arrived (and after we paid for parking) that the entire restaurant had been booked for a private event and we could not dine there. So much for his big three-oh.

Our group of 8 enjoyed the dinner together. Six of the guests had never been to Raw Bar 89 and commented that the name of the restaurant had made them think it was not for them, but all found the menu to offer so much more than the words "Raw Bar" imply. I believe we will all return and bring other friends.

The sushi rolls were decent and my drink was pretty good. The decor wasn't my favorite, but overall it was a good experience. My husband and I were in the area for a sunset cruise for his 20 year High Scool reunion and Raw Bar 89 was close by and I was in the mood for Sushi. We ordered the Wasabi prawns which were good but could use more of the wasabi sauce. We ordered three rolls; Salmon sunrise, money roll and the spicy kami roll. They were good. I preferred the money roll while my husband liked the salmon and we were both glad we ordered the spicy kami which was a last minute decision. To drink, I had a lychee cocktail with vodka and sake - it was pretty strong but I liked it - and my husband ordered a Moscow mule drink with tamarind, a tastey addition. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but if I found myself in the area with a sushi craving then Raw Bar 89 would be my choice.

Its is a restaurant that lack of personality. In Open table says its a Vietnamese Restaurant. They serve sushi, but there is no sushi bar and the kitche is close so not feeling safe in the raw when you can not see the fish. They use dark chiken meat for their teriyaki. Skewers, etc which make it a no beautiful for the eye. They have confortable chairs and great service that invite you to stay. They have to work on their mission. What kind of restaurant are they? Then it will be easy tfor them to work on get better in what they want to be. Great location.

Open Table reservations doesn't work for this restaurant. Do not go here for the main dishes. All of the items we selected from the pork katsu to the ramen was terrible. The appetizers were good. The drinks were sparse.

This was our second time here. We originally came for their Happy Hour specials which are very good. As it turns out, Sunday, they offer HH all day! We ventured out of the HH menu and discovered other fine dishes such as their ramen and mussels. The owner (Jasmine) was very nice and checked on us often to make sure everything was just right.
