It was not like our first visit. We had a great time our first time but our second visit was nowhere as enjoyable. I felt Tasia our server was not as responsive and was deceptive in her suggestions and quantity. It seemed as if her goal was to pad the bill. This experience made it less enjoyable, and for this she tried to add a 20% tip.
Haley, our other server, was pleasant and helpful.
Great place $40 for valet parking that was ridiculous fortunately you can park around the corner at the lot which was $20
Misleading information for parking on internet. Waiter advised parking would not be validated.
Thanksgiving was expensive but tasteful
Ray's is an excellent choice for Thanksgivingdinner. We enjoyed everything. Tee was excellent as our served.
The hostess, bartender and servers where phenomenal.
The food was delicious and prepared to perfection. They were kind enough to box up our yummy leftovers too.
Our sitting was one of the last…..the menu was nice but the service was slow at first then rushed at the end due to workers leaving.
As a former server years ago I understood wanting to go home after a long service…..but there was one shining star Ashur I think was his name.
He made sure we finally got our meal and took time to get us boxes to take care of the leftovers………he waited until we left before he looked tired and rushed out the door.
Kudos on what we use to call “ white cloth table “ service a lost art form
We expected the atmosphere to be livelier and festive. Instead, it was quiet. The food and service were excellent, as was the wine list. But it was not our idea of a holiday dining experience. A jazz band would have helped immensely.
Bartenders and cocktails were great. When seated, wait staff was overwhelmed and food arrived 20 minutes before drinks. Had to complain and go back to the bar for drinks. Food was good. Not much ambiance.
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Staff very attentive. Reservation was on time.
Thanksgiving dinner family style meals.
The food was so fresh and cooked well. Wait staff and servers were quick, kind and attentive.
The only con was the lack of parking and we parked in a small garage about 1.5. Blocks away but overall it was an excellent experience and I will absolutely be back.
I understood that the meal was to be a buffet. Instead the food was presented in such a manner that I thought we were at King Arthur's table. Plates mounded with food and crammed on the plates w/tastes and flavors mixed up. Won't go back for another "buffet" at this place. Food was tasty, but not outstanding. Home made pumpkin pie tasted just like a Sysco/Sara Lee item. On top of that, I felt the table was too small to handle the plates and made our ability to serve ourselves awkward.
Thanksgiving meal was wonderful. People having a good time. Food great, waiter was too, attentive.
The meal was very nice. My boyfriend and i enjoyed our thanksgiving
Ok, so we eat out every Thanksgiving. We have been to Ray’s on the River, Ray’s on the Creek, and many 5 Star restaurants for throughout the years for Thanksgivings. I’m sorry to share Ray’s in the City is a place where we will not return. For the money, the portions were extremely small. For a family of 5 adults, they brought out one shrimp cocktail with 5 shrimp in it. We had to ask for another and they charged me additional…the Turkey and roast beef were dry. I didn’t even get to try the roast beef because there was not enough and I would rather my boys eat it. We had to ask for additional Mac n cheese again charged additional…the sweet potatoes were good. The cocktails were incredible. It was extremely warm in the restaurant, we were back by the wait staff area where there was no room at all. Needless to say a very BIG disappointment. Ray’s on the Creek and on the River are amazing. Don’t know what happened here. This is our experience. If you decide to try them I truly hope your experience is better.
Great service. Several courses, all were delicious.
Great food !! 2ND YEAR COMING FOR THANKGIVING. A NEW FAMILY TRADITION
Good food. Good service.
The trout and grouper dishes were wonderful. Desert was as well
Service was excellent as usual and the server remember me from prior dining experiences.
Visiting Atlanta for convention
Mario was great! We had an awesome time loved the food. Definitely will be back
We attended Ray’s in the City for date night and we loved the atmosphere. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was amazing.
Absolutely wonderful service and ambiance! Venue is beautiful but no valet parking. You can valet at the hotel next door. Quality of steak was acceptable but mot great. Sides and lobster we delicious. Cocktails were wonderful ! Large selection of desserts which was great. We tasted five of them, I would rate them all 4/5. Cappuccino machine was broken but I had a nice coffee. Our server was impeccable ! I would definitely try this venue again !
Had the surf n turf…steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster was great. Bartenders and servers were awesome too - will definitely visit again.
The tables weren’t ready until 30 min after our reservation time.
Awesome atmosphere and experience! Everything was great!!!
It’s was just ok. Nothing memorable about the food. The drink was good. It says business casual attire required but most guest were really dressed down
As it got busier the level of service declined, however the food was excellent.
The cocktails were delicious and potent. The breads were wonderful and we never eat bread! We had the salmon, shrimp and grits, pecan encrusted trout and the horseradish grouper. All were very good, but the stars were the shrimp and grits and grouper. Both were perfection.
Service was wonderful.
I would highly recommend Ray's in the City! The food was absolutely amazing. I could cut my filet with a butter knife! If you are near this restaurant, GO, you will not regret it!
Exceptional food and service EXCEPT THE HOSTESS. TRYING TO DENY ME ENTRY SAYING I WASNT DRESSED BUSINESS CASUAL WHICH I WAS DRESSED LIKE I DO ANY OTHER TIME I WENT THERE. ALMOST MADE ME WALK OUT BECAUSE THERE WAS PEOPLE SEATED WHO DEFINITELY WAS NOT DRESSED BUSINESS CASUAL
Lovely birthday dinner choice. I will be returning.
From the time we enter the door everyone was so nice and friendly! Very pleasant… Jesus and Alex were great!! The food was excellent. I loved the ambience and atmosphere!! Complimentary champagne and dessert for our Anniversary. We enjoyed everything.
Definitely would recommend this restaurant. Manager needs to update information online. Parking is NO LONGER VALIDATED
Excellent food, great drinks, wonderful ambience. This is an extraordinarily good restaurant. As is the case with many spots now, the service is a tad bit slow, so be patient. The food and drinks are worth the wait.
Suzi and najee were awesome. Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The broiled seafood platter and horseradish encrusted grouper were unbelievable.
