Food quality is going down. Everything was over salty almost not eatable. Meet was ok. Had to look for server several times. Brought food before wine. Had to request for the bottle to be brought. Servers disappeared a lot.

Your owner being from our home town in WVa has always done it right. We come often and this is where my wife Patsy wanted to have her 77th Birthday dinner. It was marvelous. Couldn't have been treated with more respect and fantastic service. Sad to say I don't have their names but our waiter and valet were the best you will ever ask for. Wonderful. Bruce and Patsy McHoul

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch with family today. The Artesian bread and oysters appetizers were amazing. The Wagyu steak was to die for, so good. Definitely will be coming back.

My friend and I had a marvelous dinner last night. Shared the wedge salad (yum) and the black grouper. Service was outstanding and the view of the river was spectacular. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was awesome but the gumbo was burnt and my husband just wouldn’t send it back. But overall I was happy with my food. That crab cake was delicious it definitely taste better than it look.

The ambience was great!! The food was great but a little pricey. I wanted the outdoor seating but wasn’t aware that it had to be requested. We did go out to walk around after dinner and sat out for a little. Lovely experience…definitely will be going back.

I went for my birthday dinner with friends from out of state to Ga. I wasn't able to really have a full look at the place .. I did see the river and it looks elegant. I took a few pics.! Would recommend

Very disappointed. We had reservations and we told to wait for our table. We asked if we could wait at the bar and were told no but then waited 15 min. To be seated. Drinks took 20 minutes and our first round of apps came before drinks. Then oysters came 35 minutes late. Waitress kept asking for our order so she could move the menus. Seems like they were in a hurry to turn the table but couldn’t get the food out on time. Lol. Steaks were good, some apps and sides better than others. Not worth what we paid for a 6. Top. $1400. Won’t be back again.

After driving past Rays for the past 20 years, we finally made it there for dinner. Its reputation precedes it, but I have to say our experience didn't match expectations. We arrived and one of about 7 hostesses seated us. It then took over 15 minutes for us to order a starter drink. I understand they were understaffed on wait staff, so that didn't concern me. It did make me wonder why they had so many hostesses though and no where near enough wait staff. Our waiter was great though for the majority of the time. The food, herein lies the problem. We both ordered medium steaks, both came close to well done. My fiancé had a filet and it was tough as tough. My strip wasn't much better. I also found a piece of fish on my plate, which was not part of my order. If I had an allergy it would be a problem. I had to order a sprite for my dinner twice, as they forgot both times.. it's a sprite. Overall very disappointed and wouldn't recommend for the hefty price, you can get get much more and better at other restaurants.

We had a reservation Friday night at 8:45. We get there and check in and the hostess said there will be a 20-30 minute for our table but they will let us know when our table is ready and offered a drink at the bar to wait. Didn’t say they would text us, no mention of how to notify our table is ready. The bar was full so only one of us could sit. After waiting for almost 10 minutes for a bartender, we get a drink. It’s now 30 minutes past our reservation and nothing. Go to the hostess and she said she was going to go check outside. Didn’t come back and had to ask someone else. They then said they are cleaning off tables. After 45 minutes past our reservation we finally get a table outside. We just got a few appetizers and a bottle of wine because at this point we are hungry but annoyed and want to leave. Waiting that long for a table with a reservation just isn’t acceptable with nobody acknowledging how long we waited.

I go to Ray's for my biggest and most important events, both business and social. For whatever reason, this last visit was disappointing on several levels. The usually impeccable service was poor: missed my companion's clearly request meal order, little to no apologies, water and drinks were never refilled, hosting staff was bored, etc. I will write all this off as a very bad day but it was like an entirely different management team had taken over the restaurant.

I went here for my birthday and it was a great experience. Ryan gave great service and suggested amazing food on the menu. The salmon, praline basket and red velvet cake were SO good. Ryan is the best server and I would trust his judgement with any food item 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Grouper, halibut and special fish were very good however the $60 lambchop alacarte entry fell short. Tough meat, hard to cut with a knife…definitely not worth the price. Very disappointing..

#1: The location of the restaurant is beautiful, tranquil, and relaxing. #2: The service was top notch. Everyone that we interacted with was extremely professional and friendly. #3: The food was delicious! We left nothing on our plates( although we did have a few take away boxes!). I definitely plan to return!
