We had a fantastic time dining at Rebel. Our server, Justina, just blew us away. She was so kind, perceptive, & really took the time to get to know us! We fell in love with her & will be coming back to Rebel just to see her again!! Rebel is so lucky to have her. We will certainly be back soon!

Really enjoyed our visit here. Food was great (halloumi and honey - the best) Service was very good. Our only “complaint” was the noise. Table was right beneath a speaker and music was SO LOUD, difficult to hear the waitress and each other.

We had a 12.30pm reservation, but left at 1pm after being ignored by staff. We were seated quickly and easily, but no one ever came to take our drink order or anything else. Two other tables on the patio were occupied and had some service, but once those guests had finished and had left, their tables were not cleared. In fact, there was an uncleared table nears ours when we sat, and it was still dirty when we left 30 minutes later. I'm disappointed that the service was so terrible - on Father's Day, no less - because the food described on the menu sounded interesting. Now, I'm not sure that we'll ever return to taste for ourselves.

We love the food and ambiance at Rebel. What we don’t like is how incredibly crowded the tables are. People have to weave in and out to get to their seats and in the process bump people. Also because of the closeness it’s louder and hard to have a conversation. If it wasn’t for that it would be our go to restaurant.

Surprisingly poor service especially considering we were there over lunch. We waited over 40 mins for a salad and fish and chips and in fairness were one of the first patrons to be at the restaurant. The server was too busy making drinks to be attentive. The food was wonderful when it did arrive. The gentleman who must be manager seemed to have a constant stream of his own friends come in (he was greeting them loudly and ended up sitting with them) therefore customer service appeared to be focused on them rather than the rest of the patrons.

It is a great family restaurant. Best to make reservations during busy time as it has limited seating. On a scale of 1 - 10 food is 7. On a scale of 1 - 10 price is 7. We received great service our waitress was knowledgeable and experienced.

Rebel is an upscale gastropub in the Valleyview/Crestwood area of Edmonton. We've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The menu choices are creative and delicious. The tap beer choices (and there are a lot) are mostly of the craft variety although corporate brands area also available. Wine choices are also very good. Service was excellent in that our server seemed to know when to assist and when to stay away - a lost art. When looking at the people who were at the restaurant, I'd say that this place caters to a young-ish professional clientele, although there were a few of us "seniors" partaking as well. It's very noisy but one that comes as a result of a naturally high energy vibe. If you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner, this may not be the place for you however if you like to people watch and enjoy good food and drink, this is the place. Totally recommend.

Our only disappointment was the ‘butcher board’. The three cheeses on it was nothing special. Two flavourless hard cheeses and a few bococini balls. Also, the meats were just average…nothing special. The pickles etc were good addition and were the highlight of the board. Also, we learnt our lesson and will not come on game night. It was WAY too loud in there. Shame on us…that I’m sure is just bad timing. We are new to the area (walkable) and was really looking forward to the evening. We will try it again after playoffs. Go OIlers Go!

Noisy fun favored by locals. Great party atmosphere. If you're looking to have one on one conversation you might be better served on the patio. We were disappointed they had ran out of one of the specials when we arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Portions are large, food is good & overall we enjoyed our dinner.

Glad we had a reservation, it was packed on a Friday night. Noise level was quite high but likely nothing out of the ordinary (what can you do about that anyway?! ;)). Food was superb, took a bit but considering how busy it was and the potential shortness of workers, still reasonable. Certainly would go again, last time we went, it was Piccolinos still.

Overall it was a good experience. Was noisy but we didn’t mind at all. Food was tasty. Drinks were very slow and received appy before our first drinks. Waited a while to get in even with a reso, and was asked to move tables in the middle of our appy. Owner is friendly and lovely and food was tasty so overall it was ok.
