I have been coming to this location for many years, the service is either good or so-so. Today was an excellent day. I had a special request for the steak to be cut and prepared a certain way. Today my request came out perfect, maybe it's because they moved the lovely manager from the Leawood location, lol.

I ordered the spiced sirloin and asked to replace the mashed potatoes with extra asparagus and mushrooms. The steak was super small and overcooked. My guess is it was around 4 Oz and they did not give extra asparagus and mushrooms to replace the mashed potatoes. I also asked for extra butter and I had to ask for it 4 times before I finally got it in which I was already half done with my small meal before I got it. This is the only bad experience I’ve had at RD. Very disappointed is the meal size.

Food superb as usual! Server Tim was terrific. Back patio in Brookside is awesome and a super draw... but flies were terrible. Not complaining, just fyi in case you can do anything about it. Keep up the terrific work!! appreciate y'all

We had not eaten at Red Door for a long time. We had drinks and appetizers and most of us had the prime rib which was excellent. The service was excellent. We all said we would go again.

Our server was fantastic, but unfortunately, the time to get our dinner took a very long time. She explained it was because of the daily special. I've been to other red door restaurants, and it seems that this problem doesn't exist. Also, the pretzel dip seemed different?

We love the fried chicken that is only available on Thursdays. Unfortunately this visit it appears the cook forgot that smaller parts of the chicken don't need to cook for the same length of time as the breast. My breast was succulent, but it appeared every other piece (I ordered the 1/2 bird because I prefer dark meet) was massively over cooked. My wife who only ordered dark also received almost burnt chicken. We would have sent it back, but we visited right before attending a play and didn't have time to wait for them to fix it.

Extremely impressed! The calamari was prepared unlike any other way I’ve had it and it was fantastic! Dipping sauces were great. Had the French dip, very tasty and the beef was cooked perfectly. Will totally recommend to friends!

The food is incredible, and I greatly appreciated the manager on duty stopping by the table to let me know the procedures they would be using to help me avoid an allergic reaction (to shrimp). I can count on one hand the number of restaurants who have done this during the past 35 years. I was very impressed that they do take allergies such as mine so seriously, and made every effort available to them to make my meal an excellent experience.

My evening was great it was date night. We wanted fried chicken, so I thought of Thursday night special at the Red Door. The service was the best in a long time. Connor was excellent, attentive, quick, and pleasant. The food was good . The drinks were good. We had a pleasant dinner and date night.

Whenever we go to Startlight show, this is our favorite spot to eat prior. The prime rib eggrolls are the BEST, very tasty and such a treat! I always have the chimichuri salmon salad; great combination of flavors and veggies and the salmon is cooked just right. The only thing I don't really like is the noise level inside. Acoustics are not good and it is really hard to have a conversation. Fortunately, this time, the weather was delightful and we were able to sit oudoors.

Overall my experience was not bad but also it great. Two people ordered the whiskey soaked prime rib. I would not recommend this to anyone. I wouldn’t consider this dish prime rib. It tasted more like a cook steak and had very little flavor. The quality of the steak was not great, it was tough for a ribeye. The appetizers we ordered we much better than the main dish. The best thing we had was the wedge salad, I recommend this to everyone. Service was excellent. Would go back but won’t get the prime rib.

This red door is amazing. I usually get the same everytime I come. The hail Caesar has always been outstanding. The staff was amazing and was willing to work with me to make special plans for the birthday person who was with us. Overall 10/10.
