   We had a lovely evening at the Red Lion, a warm welcome, great service and delicious food. Because of the popularity, we couldn't book a table until 8.15pm, but this was only a slight inconvenience. Definitely return, and we'll book we'll in advance!

   Great service and food, the restaurant area is quite noisy (well it was when we went) which makes it a little less relaxing but other than that a lovely meal out.

   Send visit and the food is amazing! A little pricey but great for special occasions. Service was great, staff very attentive and chatty. I highly recommend the Red Lion.

   Lovely Sunday lunch, great Service and good value. Unfortunately on the day there were a couple of large parties in and because of the room set up, any noise was amplified and we couldn’t hear ourselves talking which spoiled it a bit. The car park is very small so be prepared to park out on the road.

    Table of four for Sunday Lunch Very good selection of starters - one crab cakes and one haggis scotch egg. Main course three chose the salmon and one the lamb roast - all very good For desert the ladies chose wonderful looking puddings - but refused to share!! Most enjoyable return visit to the Red Lion

    This is the third time this month that I have dined here. We took relatives out and the food and ambience did not fail to impress. Our table was next to kitchen door which wasn’t ideal, but it didn’t spoil the evening, Waitress had good humour with us as I explained we were wine connoisseurs and with a little reminder she poured our wine perfectly. Excellent Malbec served at perfect Temperature, Keep up the good work, we’ll be back,

    Had a lovely meal with family from out of town; who left dining the Red Lion’s praises! Lovely food, well presented and great lively atmosphere in bar/restaurant. Staff, as usual, attentive and polite - made to feel very welcome.

    Absolutely fantastic food and service. Maybe a bit more expensive than some other places but it's certainly worth paying for food this good. The menu had some really interesting choices and everyone's food was cooked perfectly. The pub is also very nicely appointed and is just generally a very nice place to be. I will definitely be returning.

    Received a very warm welcome on arrival. Red lion team were attentive and knowledgable. Food was excellent with perfect timing between courses. Did not feel rushed at all. Will be returning!!

    Came here again for a Sunday dinner and was perfect as always. Great selection of vegetables and the servings are huge. Desserts were lovely! Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Servers were friendly and didn’t rush anyone with the food. Well worth a visit

    Excellent food, plenty of choice to suit all tastes (smaller quantities would be appreciated as some food had to be left). Staff were friendly and welcoming, very busy and efficient throughout the evening. Highly recommend the Red Lion

    Lunch at the Red Lion with friends. We had a table in the snug which was warm and cosy. We all loved our food and the English wine was delicious. Service was good and the cost was very reasonable.
