Very nice restaurant very good food. Waiters were in a hurry and didn't really listen to what my guest wanted to order but it all turned out OK
Dommage que cette mauvaise habitude de proposer des brunchs se développe au delà du dimanche. Sinon le contre-filet était parfait et service impeccable.

Nous etions chez Renoir pour le brunch du dimanche matin. Restaurant tres sympathique. Brunch copieux et delicieux et service charmant.
Le menu prévu pour le festival Montréal à table était bien dans l'esprit. Toutefois, le dessert, aux pomme façon Tatin ;a déçu, tout l'appareil était froid (certainement sorti du frigo) . Meme si le mot 'façon Tatin sous entend 'comme ou dans l'inspiration. j'aurais aimé goûter un dessert tiède.
We enjoyed the dinner which was the Montreal a Table evening and what we had reserved for. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Perhaps the menu could be translated into English as well though staff were good about providing translations. Additionally, this was a special event so a nice touch would have been for the chef to pass by.
Quel beau brunch! C'est pour moi le meilleur brunch de Montréal! Les plats sont raffinés délicats, légers.On y mange très bien, pour un prix raisonnable au regard de la qualité et de la quantité de produits. Tout était excellent! Les plats, les desserts, les fromages, le jus d'orange et le smoothie! Mention spéciale pour les gaufres maison et l'omelette du chef, cuite sous nos yeux! De la grande cuisine française avec de succulents produits du terroir canadien, mariage réussi :) Merci beaucoup à l'équipe en cuisine et en salle, vous avez été aux petits soins pour nous. Le service ne fait qu'ajouter de la valeur à ce bel endroit que je recommande fortement!

The food , including the use of local ingredients was excellent, and the service just right. Pleasant and enthusiastic, the staff made the dining experience a pleasure. The restaurant was very busy, yet my wife and I were able to talk without shouting, unlike some other places with hard surfaces everywhere that echo. The breakfast had some unusual choices that we enjoyed, so much better than the usual international hotel buffet. If you are staying in the hotel - use Renoir - and if you're not - find it!
BTW we had a late lunch before departing for the airport in le Bar and enjoyed 'Probably the best Club Sandwich in the World' - my description!! - and the fries were to die for - but unless you have a very large appetite share one between two - the sandwich is enormous!!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY, BUT THE FOOD??? ROASTED ROOT VEGETABLES FOR $27? 10 PIECES OF SUPER SMALL PIECES. QUEBEC LAMB FOR $35 - 2 TINIEST PIECES THAT YOU CANNOT EVEN FIND ON THE PLATE THEY ARE SO SMALL. NEVER AGAIN.
Our last night in Montreal: wonderful choice. Thomas, our waiter, was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We felt welcomed.
Food was excellent, espexially the sea bass. Would go again.

Good food contested to bar area
L'ambiance de la salle à manger etait perturbée par le bar voisin. Des petites mouches à fruits volaient sur Notre table: inacceptable. La serveuse, tres gentille, portait des talons ferrés très bruyants: dérangeant. L'excellente sauce qui recouvrait le porc n'aurait pas dû recouvrir aussi le homard: ca dénaturait le gout du crustacé. Le dessert etait exquis.

Excellent French cuisine, well presented and very tasty. Restaurant is at the entrance of the Hotel with lots of people waiting at the door , buses, etc. However, inside the restaurant, it is quiet and the ambiance is great. Decoration is quite nice, modern but at the same time French traditional.
Great place, the staff makes it so much more so.
We enjoyed our meal tremendously, everything was prepared and served very nicely. We did the tasting menu and appreciated the lovely presentation and flavors. Only drawback was the ambiance or lighting level. It made the restaurant feel like it was still part of the lobby for the hotel. And the outdoor lighting was quite bright as well. It took away from the romance of the meal. Overall we appreciated the meal.
The ambience is not as expected, it’s more like a hotel family restaurant kind, if looking for romantic environment, forget it
Le menu du midi offre plusieurs propositions intéressantes. Nous avons pris la soupe du jour qui était une crème froide de chou-fleur. Parfaitement lisse et bien froide, on aurait vraiment cru une vichyssoise. Mon invité a pris des calmars et moi un poké de tatami de saumon, tous deux très bons.
Le service est efficace et professionnel. Les prix sont un peu élevés, même pour le midi, mais au moins la qualité y est.
la télévision est une peste dans un restaurant surtout un 4-5 étoiles même sur la terrasse
A puzzling experience. Service was slow, sat for many minutes after arriving before anyone said a word. Best item was the croissant. Roast beef was tasty but not tender. No shrimps. Poached salmon was difficult to access because one side was completely removed and the salmon should have been turned or another salmon presented. With much difficulty I managed to take some salmon which was good. Would have liked a Caesar salad. Fresh fruit was mostly unripe.
I did not get my money’s worth. An expensive mistake. Too much emphasis on desserts which were good, varied and plentiful, but I did not come for dessert. Would have liked more dishes, warm dishes like a curry, a stew, etc. lots of room for improvement here. Hotel Victoria in Vancouver knows how to present a buffet brunch worth having.

Excellent brunch buffet. A little pricey at around 50 bucks per person. The regular breakfast is decent.
Food and service were excellent. The ambiance, however, was average, with very bland colors, bright lights, and overall was boring. The background music was awful.
