Thomas was our server, very attentive, respectful and caring. Thank you Thomas ! We loved our experience there from the warm welcoming to the heartfelt goodbyes. The luscious quiet setting of Renoir with comfortable chairs and privacy spacing allows you to have a wonderful date night where you can enjoy your date in am alluring ambiance. The menu is concise and well curated. “La soupe du jour” aux carottes was unctuous. The short ribs are delicious and the octopus, refreshing. Although I did not enjoy the dessert, my dinner date found it exquisite - So I’ll let you try for yourself. Definitely a great go to place for a good time alongside a friendly staff in a great setting.

Tonight was top notch. Line, Myriam, and Vincent were very friendly and made this dining experience much more special, actually they were the highlight. The food and drinks sold themselves. I could not be happier. I will return when I come back to Montreal!!! Kudos to all!!!

I made a Mother’s Day reservation for breakfast for three people at 9:30am. Upon arrival the first words the dining room hostess says is “ Hello. Just so you know you have to make sure your table is empty and you leave by 10:30am.” We were told this a second time as soon as the waiter came to our table. It was a very unwelcoming reception. Neither the hostess nor the waiter even mentioned a happy Mother’s Day to my elderly mother in law. Food was not better than average and the coffee was not a “good” coffee. The waiter never came back once to ask if we needed anything during our breakfast. When my husband flagged down the waiter and asked for a second Nutella the response was, “ usually we are not allowed to give a second Nutella but you look like decent people” it was really odd and unprofessional. After paying the bill the manager started to clear the table and my husband recommended that the their breakfast policy of clearing the table by no later than 10:30am be stated on line so customers are aware when they are considering making a booking. The manger said nothing and began humming a song and continued to clear the table. It was all so impersonal and uninviting. Basically get in and get out. I would not recommend this restaurant neither for the service, nor the food, nor the atmosphere. Montreal is full of great restaurants and wonderful service people and I strongly recommend that customers chose another option.

Was told that salmon was not available and then ordered cod. I had a guest join my table 20 minutes later and was able to order the salmon. The cod was one dimensional. Not a lot of flavor. The squash soup and dessert were delicious.

Food is expensive but phenomenal. The foie gras and magnet were exceptional as was the short rib. This is some of the best French food you’ll find downtown in Montreal. Wine list is pricey but that is most places in Montreal
