Open Table, Residency, and Lyon restaurant are off on this one: The restaurant does not exist, boo hoo, and because the websites are not up to date, ours was not the only couple to waste fuel going to what turned out to be no where.
We went to Residency to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant has only been open 2weeks and is in the perfect location(packrat/Lyon) The food was absolutely outstanding. Our server did recommend the specialty sourced flour pizza options but we choose the Charcoal chicken and shrimp as our main dishes. We also had the fries and charred veggies to share. Everything was simply fantastic. I will return for the veggies alone! We shared a bottle of wine and could not believe the value for our dinner. It was not as busy as the more long term restaurants in the area but our server was joyful and attentive and had such pride in the options that Residency is presenting. I imagine that the next time we go there they are going to be packed!
This location is still excellent. Location matters. What is the restaurant trying to become? It still is changing the menu a
The staff & new Chef Blaine went out of their way to make a special occasion very memorable. Although the menu is limited at this time, every dish was unique & outstanding. We will return!
The menu goes in so many directions where you can find some great creations and also pizzas for example.
Due to the COVID-19, the place cannot have any energetic atmosphere which is sad because the place has a lot of potential.
I would have liked to see on the menu some specialties from Lyon which is the French capital of gastronomy, maybe in the future with the new ownership.
The service was great and the nice gesture of the kitchen to offer us the dessert for our anniversary was more than appreciated especially because the donuts balls tasted like the ones we used to eat in the North of France.
My boyfriend and I went for a date night and loved the food, service, and atmosphere. The meals were very fairly priced and the food was excellent quality. We will be back :)
Chicken was delicious but the beef was full of gristle.
We were there when the new menu was launched and it was delicious but had the same ambience & service that I am used to.
Everything we got was really tasty! A little disappointed that the menu didn’t have certain items we’ve tried before and wanted to order again, but a smaller menu during covid times makes sense. Still enjoyed our visit and super friendly staff
Restaurant was empty and cold.
Had a long delay before anyone came to serve us, which was odd because the place was empty. But once they figured it out, the drinks, food were delicious. Service was okay.
We had a lovely meal. Pizza was delicious and excellent steak frites. Our server was great and the atmosphere on the patio was perfect.
My husband and I went for dessert, initially, but then opted to try the Brussels sprouts first... best decision ever! It was the perfect pre-dessert snack! Service was excellent, as evidenced by the continuous filling of my water glass!
The service was very good. The Covid 19 safety protocols were being followed. I had the Halibut and was quite disappointed. There was more batter than there was fish.
The Cobb salad had good ingredients but the dressing was too bland. With a tasty dressing, this would have been good item.
The pizza and Caesar salad were good.
Everything was great. Their Caesar salad is fabulous. We had the lemon meringue desert and it was beautifully presented in addition to being delicious.
Great service and food was great. Drinks are expensive though
Great meal - really good service as always. COVID has done a job on Lyon but the staff and management had done their best to make it work - I was very comfortable and the lemon pizza made a really nice app again.
Just really lovely. We live in the neighbourhood and wanted to try it for sometime. Lovely staff and ambience. Food and drink was so lovely.
Food was absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced....Drinks however were quite pricey. Loved the ambience and the servers were wonderful, kind and attentive....We had a great evening there! will definitely be back
Love the patios… And a really good wine selection… Love the location too..‼️
This is the second time we have dined at LYON since it re-opened due to Covid19 and have been most impressed both times. The service was attentive and the food was excellent! Highly recommend that you give them a try!
Food and service are good.
The patio is shared with another restaurant / pub. It didn’t feel clean as the outside space was not well maintained. The meal was for the most part very good though my organic salmon was thin and overcooked. The sprouts and mussels appetizers were to die for!
In a restaurant like this, would have expected a deeper wine list but what was available was okay. This pictures on their website make the interior look much nicer than it was.
It was a fantastic supper—a scrumptious supper enjoyed on their beautiful patio during a late spring evening.
This restaurant Never ceases to amaze. I eat here at least once a month and every time I come there is something new and delectable on the menu. Your best bet is to come and ask your server for their personal recommendation. They have not steered me wrong yet.
We started with an amazing appetizer, it was a puff pastry filled with chicken, mushrooms, peas and a cream sauce. I had salmon with rice and veggie pilaf which was lovely. However, my husband had foggy fish and chips, the batter had no crunch and the fries were floppy. Our server was really nice, however, the man in the colorful dress shirt (manager I believe) could have been more attentive and jovial. The restaurant lacked spirit or engagement. Also the music was awful. I believe it was 80's - didn't add to the ambiance at all. Our experience was just after their COVID re-opening, so I wont go full judgy... however, im not sure we will be back though.
Everything was very good from the service to the food.
Brussel sprouts were amazing. I had the sirloin steak and the hubby had the pork tenderloin - both excellent.
We split an order of the mushroom risotto and was very tasty.
Only one small issue was our table was kind of squished between 2 other tables. We were in the back against the wall and the 2 person table behind us appeared to be moved up so it was centered in the window which made our area quite a bit smaller.
Will definitely return
I had a portion of my food taken and returned to the kitchen. No one came back to follow up with it. Didn't return the food, follow up with what was happening, nor did they replace it. Very disappointing.
Picked this place on a whim. Took a chance and so happy I did. The food was absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly and tasted even better. Normally that would be enough but the service we received was above and beyond. They treated us like we were the only table in the place even though they had a fill restaurant. We will be returning often.
Great food, great service, nice portions, great location. Nice atmosphere and parking available.
Had a really nice time with good food, but it didn’t blow us away with French deliciousness.
Everything was amazing! The bartender who served us, Tasia, provided outstanding service and the food was the best we have had in a restaurant in Edmonton in a long time! The duck drumstick was juicy and flavourful and the sablefish was perfectly cooked and perfectly complimented with the accompaniments. My friends has pizza and ratatouille and were not disappointed! Will definitely be back again soon! Do yourself a favour and check out this fantastic restaurant.
Celebrated my birthday dinner feb 29 at Lyon and the food/service was highly exceptional. Special thanks to our server James that night for a memorable dining experience and for making us all laugh :) The food was plated beautifully and delectable dishes. I ordered the duck which was superb and the lamb is amazing. We will be back soon! Thanks again!!!
Read some reviews and looked like a good bet. Won the jackpot with this place that was busy, but managed great service and the food quality and choices outstanding. Definitely on my return list.
Love this place. Glad the old packrat crew is back in this space
Lyon is basically an updated version of Packrat Louie. I really enjoyed the brussel sprouts and the server was happy to put the bacon on the side.
The smoked salmon was as delicious as usual! My friend enjoyed her rabbit.
Beautiful room and great servers with care and attention to detail. Thanks from my family and friends. Wine was great and advice on the type was much appreciated from my wife.
our server was very helpful and answered all our questions
Waiter did his best to gain our attention but found him too over bearing.
Food was too rich , salmon with some sort of cream mouse over top plus gravy on the plate
Not what i expected.
Service was slow, but it was Valentine’s Day. Server was animated and entertaining. Food (3 course set menu) was a good value.
