Nous avons eu 2,5 onces de vin x 6 pour 120$ soit *$ par once. Le vin était bon mais sans plus. Le sommelier a fait un erreur dans l'accord met-vin et ne l'a pas corrigé. Pour le prix, nous aurions pu avoir un verre de vin dès le début du repas. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, nous avons pris le menu dégustation. Mon épouse est allergique aux fruits de mer et pour 2 plat elle n'a eu droit qu'au plats correspondants dans le menu végétarien. Les côtelettes de lapin ressemblai plus à des cure-dents qu';a de la viande. le pigeon était très ordinaire. Enfin. les brochettes de guimauves goûtait la fumée et était immangeables. Nous avions pris ce menu par le passé et nous avions été charmés. Cette fois, pour le 60e anniversaire de naissance ce mon épouse, nous avons été extrêmement déçus.

We tried the Discovery menu, a seven course meal. Beautiful, refined dishes that are artfully presented. Local and Canadian sourced ingredients.
I found the deer a tad chewy—served rare with a slight sear, so I expected it to be more tender. Had a lovely table by the window so that we could admire the moon reflecting off the lake. Friendly and knowledgeable servers. It didn’t feel pretentious like some other 5 star restaurants I’ve been to.

Le service était excellent et la nourriture aussi. Très belle expérience. Ambiance exceptionnelle, décor à couper le souffle. Cependant, lorsqu'on nous offre un verre de champagne en apéritif, il serait important de mentionner le prix du verre en question. Ça m'a coûté 54$+taxes+pourboire pour 2 verres de champagne!! Je ne m'attendais pas à cela du tout.

L’équipe qui a fait le service était exceptionnel, même en pénurie de main-d’oeuvre. Ils ont été au petit soin avec nous.
Le menu dégustation était un délice à chaque bouché.
Nous avons déjà hâte d’y retourner.

First things first, my husband and I have nothing to say about the service. Top notch, what you would expect of a restaurant in a 5-star hotel. Even heard that the Clinton’s were there a day before we dined.

Now, what I did not expect was to find a strand of hair in the bottom of my yogurt parfait. I decided not to bring this up since my husband was having such a lovely time, I did not want to spoil it. Also, when we got there, there were crumbs all over the floor, must be from the people who dined before us. Maybe it was an off day, but that was a tad bit disappointing.

Will definitely be back for dinner, maybe this time there won’t be any issues.

Deserts of the tasting menu were disappointing - not very tasty.

Service was good, but waitorS probably thought I was much younger (I look younger but I am 28) as they would explain the food mainly to my mom, called me “jeune fille” like if I was a child. I didn’t get the same service level as my mom even though I had made the reservation and ended up paying the 400$ dinner.

Seule petite ombre au tableau, c'était relativement bruyant au début du repas... À l'arrivée de la pièce de résistance, plusieurs tables s'étaient libérées et des clients plutôt bruyants avaient quitté et c'était mieux...

Pour le reste, tout était excellent !

Trying to be haute cuisine without the execution. The ideas are there, but they need a chef who can actually cook arctic char or duck properly. Beautiful hotel, but also needs updating (the speakers in the dining room were crackling). Highlight was innovative squash-based dessert.

Le brunch du dimanche s'est transformé en des repas 2 ou 3 services au choix. En fait il manquait une touche sucrée dans le repas 2 services. On nous a dit que c'était à cause de la covid, mais il existe des buffets où on nous sert!!!! Par contre la nourriture était excellente: on a pris les betteraves au chèvre, la tartine de saumon fumé, les œufs bénédictine au confit de canard et le gigot d'agneau. Ce dernier, cuit sous vide était particulièrement remarquable. Le service est gentil mais débutant, ils ne trouvaient pas notre bouteille de vin, n'étaient pas capable de répondre directement aux questions et on n'a pas eu le jus d'orange qu'on avait commandé.
D'un autre coté, la gestion de la réservation est vraiment déficiente. On avait réservé une table pour 2 et on a appelé pour ajouter une troisième personne. On nous a répondu que ce n'était pas possible à cause de la covid et que c'était complet. Quelle a été notre surprise en voyant le restaurant à moitié vide avec notamment une table pour 4 qui est restée vide!!!! De plus, on aurait pu aisément ajouter une chaise à notre table comme on l'avait demandé et ainsi respecter la distanciation. Donc perte de revenu pour le resto et perte de plaisir pour nous. Dommage.

Dining at Le Hatley is a special experience. The location at the lake, excellent service, and the nice building add to it immensely. My husband had the clam chowder, the halibut, and a dessert, which he said were all excellent. Only the smoked maple icecream was not a repeat for him. I had the octopus and Duck Margret. Both were cooked to perfection, but I did find the bacon overpowering the octopus a bit. The dishes are "terroir driven", as described on the website. The chef certainly excels at using local ingredients like lentils, and my husband loved it, but me not as much. My Okanagan Cherry dessert was inspired by a Blackforest Cake, and the Kirsch helped with that, but I really struggled with the extremely hard base of the dessert. Nothing like the fluffy original. I was afraid the whole dessert would just fly of my plate, when trying to split off a bite. Well, I guess that's what they call adventures in dining.

Service excellent mais nourriture très décevante ...
Le la mise en bouche au repas principal nous avons été déçus .. nous avons même quitter avant de prendre le dessert. Nos attentes étaient très élevées du au prix exorbitant de ce restaurant et malheureusement ce n’a pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes.

Déçu par les plats.
Nous avons pris le menu dégustation et nous n’avons pas aimé deux plats dont un car il était pas mangeable. Nous mangeons souvent épicé mais là je pense que le chef s’est oublié sur l’assaisonnement.
Nous nous attendions à plus de finesse dans les plats.
