Belle découverte. Resto d'allure newyorkaise. Cuisine style bistro raffinée. Sans oublier les desserts maison, excellents. Service convivial et chaleureux. Nous allons certainement y retourner. Le personnel en cuisine ouverte est très accueillant. La terrasse donne sur la rivière Magog.

Neither menu or server where English speaking.. Menu very limited. Only fish was raw or fried. Ribs & fries were covered in a terrible gravy & was not at all tasty.

Excellent new French cuisine, wonderful vinegrettes and sauces that put the “icing on the cake” on our salad or to the tataki de thon or the jarret agneau braise ail that we had. Very friendly staff and super chefs!

They were very busy for a Saturday night but it took 30 minutes for anyone to come and take a drink order from us. The food was very good. We had the lamb and the shrimp risotto. The drinks were weak and unflavorful. I would recommend sticking with the local beers and wine. Overall it was a nice dinner but they do have some things to work on.

Totally over priced and underwhelming..charging $4 for bread and $2 for butter is not acceptable. Just say no to this restaurant.

Hey Peter, you are visiting from N.H. (Prices are in CDN which is 40% less for you with the conversion. Probably the most affordable ribs & Tuna you've had at a restaurant in a while...and fresh baked bread is not Free anymore.) À notre arrivée, le resto était vide à 17 heures, nous avons demandé une table autre que celle attribuée je près des cuisines, et la préposée semblait étonnée. Elle ne semblait pas comprendre cette demande très légitime à cette heure en l'absence ou presque de clients à 17h05. Après hésitation, une de ses collègues a compris notre requête et une table nous a été attribuée par la suite. Le tout s'est bien déroulé par la suite.

Le menu est simple mais intéressant. La présentation des plats est soignée. Les aliments sont frais et très bien apprêtés. Les assiettes sont généreuses. L'atmosphère, sur fond musical, est intime et relaxante. Nous avons adoré! Merci pour cette excellente soirée.

I would recommend this restaurant except the sherbet apple strawberry which lacked a bit of taste and texture. Otherwise it is my fourth time and I still love 1855!

Accueil chaleureux, belle présentation des assiettes, menu varié et hors du commun. Nos plats étaient succulents mais auraient pu être un peu plus généreux compte tenu des prix.

Très belle découverte ! Restaurant au goût du jour . Notre repas fut délicieux . Autant les entrées que les plats principaux ce fut succulent. Le prix justifie amplement le repas . Les ingrédients sont frais et le chef cuisines a la perfection.

One of the best meals of my life. Tuna Tataki as a main course (with a bottle of Rioja) and pouding chomeur for dessert. Eric is one of the best chefs I know.

We had made a reservation, but that was unnecessary, the restaurant was practically empty. The waitress guided us to a table at the back of the restaurant next to the bathroom. We then ask for a better table. The calamari were soft and not crusty at all. The flank steak was served under a mountain of fries. It was announced to be 6 once but was merely 4 onces. I made the remark to the waitress and she replied that the steaks were weighed at 6 on, she later offered a desert to compensate. I chose the crème brûlée which was served cold and the caramel soft on the top. At the end, very expensive restaurant for very ordinary food and no ambiance. Service ok.

After 3 reviews, on google, Open Table and Trip Advisor, it is borderline harassment. Your steak was 6 oz not 4oz. The first table we assigned was great and the 2nd one was just as awesome. The calamari was on point as usual and certainly not soft. The fries were fresh and served on top of your 6 oz steak and your FREE dessert...seriously?

I’m not one for food, but my family is. Their experience with the food was great, service was kind, and the atmosphere was incredibly pleasant. While I’m not one to try new things, they were very accommodating to my eating habits and were very detailed when taking our orders to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The restaurant is well decorated and Is laid out in a way where each table has just the right amount of privacy, but at the same time is open to the room around. 5 stars would go back again.

Le choix de musique est excellent mais au début c était trop fort mais à notre demande ça été réduit et nous pouvions nous parler hahaha La nourriture était excellente et même je dirais exceptionnelle Tous les plats ont été apprecies et chacun avait une touche particulière

Hello VAL107! Prices and menu can be viewed online via our website, on our social networks as well as at the door. Everything is home-cooked, using quality local products. We receive a lot of praise in restaurants for our dishes and the quality of our food. (Tip: Choose the restaurant/bar according to your budget, this will save you from having to complain about prices after your experience.) Our poutine is far from "cheep". With home made gravy and fries and pulled pork, we are not sure you actually came to our restaurant and ate our poutine...

Le premier service à été long avant qu'une serveuse vienne nous voir à la table pour prendre notre commande de breuvage. Nous pensons quasiment avoir été oublié. Mais par la suite, lorsque nous avons commandés, les plats sont arrivés assez rapidement. Les sourires étaient difficiles également auprès du staff. Mais la nourriture était très délicieuse ! Nous allons y retourner c'est sur !
