Very nice, tasty…Good wine list and really nice meals. A bit pricey but well worth it. The atmosphere is really nice and probably best for a date with your SO, or someone really dear to you.

Wow - an absolutely delightful find in Montreal. The tasting menu, which we chose, was a collection of inspired dishes, with some Japanese fusion evident in the dashi/matsutake and razor claim and the thin, carpaccio-like tuna-toro slices with tuna au jus reduction. Every dish was a delightful surprise and we couldn't wait until the next dish to see what awaited us. Highly recommended.

Nous avons savourés le menu dégustation moi et mon conjoint et nous avons été charmés, étant enceinte ils ont fait attention sur chaque plat n'ayant pas de cru ou de viande pas assez cuite. Nous avons eu un service exemplaire et ce moment restera mémorable.

We had recently been to ALO in TO and found it a step down from that experience. That being said the food was excellent but the servers all seem to be very new and hadn’t quite found their feet yet.

We opted for the seven course tasting menu with the accompanying wine pairings.
The dishes were beautifully composed, often with complex combinations of ingredients. A true feast for all senses.
The wine pairings were very well considered, and in a few cases I’m sure that the food was paired with the wines as opposed to the more traditional ‘find a wine that works with the dish’.
Truly, a great wine experience.
The service beginning with the lovely Susan was truly exceptional. All servers were amiable and very, very well informed regarding the sourcing of ingredients.
In whole, it was a wonderful dining experience that lasted almost three hours.
We will definitely return and recommend Toque! To friends and family without hesitation.

Great food and great service. It was our anniversary and it was everything we could want. We took the tasting menu and 7 wine which was well worth it. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines served and told a great story with every wine he served us. Great place food r special occasions.

I had dinner here by myself on a business trip 6 years ago on the recommendation from a "Foodie" from Montreal. After providing a list of 4 top restaurants she said that Toque! was by far the best. I convinced my husband that we had to go there for our 25th anniversary. I was a little apprehensive at having remembered it one way and 6 years later turning out completely different. I am so glad we made the trip. It was incredible again, the blends of the different flavors of food that have to mix in your mouth to be fully appreciated, is just out of this world. And as always, the wine pairings are so top notch. Can not sing the praise more. I have dreamed of going back for the full experience, and now that I have done it, I was not disappointed. If I lived closer, I would be there more often...

The food was great, big portions for a tasting menu, flavours creative using high quality local ingredients. But, for a restaurant of this calibre, the service could have been better. We were sat down for around 10 minutes before anyone came over to attend to us, including for the basic water service. It was a lengthy dinner lasting 3.5 hours.

Well developed flavor structure of most meals. The tasting menu started off light, with sushi grade fish. It then progressed to foie gras, to finish with cooked yellowfin belly, and finally duck breast. The last three were the most memorable. Two desserts were light but complex. Very happy with the food.

Incredible meal. Exceptional service with unobtrusive attention to every detail. Our servers were wonderful- friendly, efficient and incredibly knowledgeable regarding both the food and the wine. I would chose this restaurant for a special occasion as it is both exceptional, very worth the expense for that special celebration or other important event but expensive.

As a Michelin Star restaurant hobbyist, I was very disappointed with this culinary experience. Let’s start with a review of the food. We ordered the 7 course tasting menu.

First, the presentation was beautiful and the exotic mix of flavors, textures, and ingredients were exciting. However, on the palate, they failed to invoke balance and flavor on the tastebuds. The mix of flavors were simply underwhelming. Second, the tasting menu didn’t seem carefully planned. The tasting menu had two tuna dishes - one sashimi style and one tuna belly. Would you put two chicken dishes on a 7 course tasting menu? Also, the tuna belly was served just before the venison and venison tongue. Those are two very strong, gamey dishes with no palette cleanser in between. It seemed too much and too conflicting that you couldn’t appreciate either, particularly in that order. Third, while I love tuna belly, especially raw, this dish was one of the fishiest tuna belly’s we’ve ever had. Also, world famous chef, David Bouley, makes a venison that tastes like filet mignon. This venison was extremely gamey in my opinion. Finally, I couldn’t even finish the first dessert. The sorbet was bitter and the mix of cranberry and goat simply didn’t feel like a dessert. Did I mention that the bread was as stale as can be?!?!

I gave staff’s Service 2 stars because, although most staff were friendly and attentive, our waiter was quite terrible. It took him 20 minutes just to give us a menu, and 40 minutes to give me a black napkin that was available on request as seen on the menu. Overall, he was forgetful, not communicative, and not very attentive. He just seemed tired and lazy.
