Merci beaucoup à Cath Picard, Gilbert et Mathieu pour l’excellent service (et tous les suiteurs).

Nous avions un couple d’américains qui parlaient bien fort a côté de nous, mais ça on n’y peut rien!

Toujours aussi délectable, toujours aussi incroyable, le Toqué est sans contredit LA meilleure table de Montréal.

Merci pour cette soirée sublime qui nous faire découvrir et redécouvrir des produits de chez nous.

Truly an amazing dining experience! We have eaten at many fine restaurants in the U.S.A. (Alinea, Daniel, et al) and we enjoyed our overall experience at Toqué! the most. The food is outstanding in every way, from sourcing to preparation to plating, and the front-of-house team is polished and professional but not the least bit stuffy or overly formal. The room is serene, comfortable, perfect for a relaxing meal and conversation. We enjoyed our Friday dinner so much that on our way out, we made a reservation for the next evening so we could enjoy the rest of the menu selections. Earlier in the week we had dined at Europea and, while our meal was generally enjoyable, several dishes fell flat and the service felt a bit anxious. Toqué!, by comparison, was seamless and perfect in every way, and we loved every single bite from every dish. We will return to Toqué! every time we visit Montreal...it is that good. My daughter actually cried she was so happy.

C’était presque parfait! Monsieur Laprise aurait besoin de travailler le plat végétarien.
Tous les autres plats et services étaient excellents.
Nous étions là pour le dîner.

Highly overrated.
I’ve been many times (business dinners) and they have really lost the touch. Sometimes trying too hard just doesn’t cut it.

Dinner at Toque was a flawless dining experience that captured all aspects of a memorable evening. The overall enduring quality was the fully integrated ensemble effort from the kitchen, the staff and the management...very uncommon but most welcome in our experience.

The absolute BEST venison we have ever had!!! Everything else was also scrumptious. I started with a fabulous soup, and my husband with a plate of wild mushrooms. Perfection. This was followed by an amazing venison dish, and topped up by a magnificent cheese plate served without bread in a way we had never been served cheese before. It had been a while but now I know we will be back to Toque soon.

C’etais la première fois que j’allais dans un restaurant avec plusieurs services , je partirais de la cote-nord n’importe quand pour y retourner , une merveilleuse place avec un excellent service , la nourriture est excellente et nous fait faire le tours de plus goût en une seul bouchée j’ai adoré mon expérience , de plus cetais ma première fois pour l’es huître et c’est bien rendu mon nouveau « Dada » . Merci pour cette belle expérience je recommande fortement le ToQué! Merci aussi à M.Normand Laprise d’avoir autographier mon livre :)

Mon seul commentaire concerne le service qui contrairement aux visites precedentes était bon mais pas excellent. Moins d'informations donné sur les vins, les plats etc.. et moins fluide.

En résumé le service n'etait pas à la hauteur de la nourriture servie.

This was a real disappointment during our Montréal stay. It looks fancy but the food is very disappointing when it comes to taste. Trying too hard to make it look and sound good.
Service was solid but atmosphere outdated

I would like to let celiacs know that my experience at Toqué did not match my expectations. I had read that Toqué was very accommodating to gluten free diners and this was one of the reasons we chose this restaurant for a special celebration. When I reserved online (2 months earlier) I mentioned that I needed to eat gluten free. I called the day before my lunch and left a message. Upon arriving, they confirmed they had made a note that I needed to eat gluten free. Our server did not know anything about it, though, and I had just a couple of options to choose from. There was no gluten free dessert at all (I don't have any other restrictions) and I paid the full dessert price for a sample of sorbets (no toppings or sauces or fruit at all - just sorbet). When it is winter in Montréal, it is a very disappointing dessert. I even asked the server if she was sure that there was nothing that could be done and she happily told me no. I usually don't write reviews but I wanted to warn celiacs that Toqué might not be as accommodating as it was in the past. They might behave differently for the evening meal but I know I won't be risking it.

Nous avions le souper spécial 7 service avec accord vin. Vraiment un pur délice. Service irréprochable du debut à la fin. 726 $ avec taxes et pourboires pour 2 personnes.

Un excellent restaurant, mais un peu trop cher à cause du vin
La qualité de la nourriture, du décor et du service est remarquable...par ailleurs la carte des vins est trop cher. Il est très difficile de trouver un vin au verre en dessous de $25.00 et les bouteilles sont aussi très dispendieuse...donc, on y retourne, c'est certain...mais on prendra moins de vin la prochaine fois!

Le décor a besoin d’être revu, l’ambiance est plutôt froide. Le service est excellent, le personnel cherche constamment à répondre à nos demandes. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation. Les plats des 7 services sont harmonieux, cuits à point, faits avec des ingrédients de qualité et permet aussi des découvertes. Les quantité, quant à elles, sont amplement suffisantes afin de combler les grands appétits. En ce qui concerne le prix, il est bien sûr élevé. Cependant, la qualité du repas est telle que le prix demandé est acceptable.

Nous y retournerions en toutes circonstances.

Ambiance was very nice - intimate given the space. The colour schemes added to the warm and upscale atmosphere.

Food was very good and delicate in execution but no wow factors that made them memorable.

Sommeliers were good. Would have liked them to integrate backgrounds of the wine/producers with why the wines were chosen for the pairings.

Main waiter was efficient but aloof. Water glasses and utensils discreetly refreshed, but bread crumbs on the table could’ve been removed with more expediency as they took away from the platings.

Beautiful Grande Crus coffee served in the Riedel glass at the end rounded out our very nice gastronomic evening.

Lunch was an excellent way to experience this place without spending a fortune. Lunch included the first course as well as coffee. Splurged on desert but it was well worth it. Flavours were well thought out - next level cuisine! Not somewhere I would go every day but certainly worth it to try to have an elevated dining experience. I had the octopus to start and the braised lamb for the main. Melt in your mouth lamb. Mmmm. The highlight of the chocolate desert was the spearmint gelato - such a contrast to what was on the plate. Refreshing and delectable. I will return to try other items for sure. Service was impeccable and not pretentious.

Went for a business dinner, we tried the tasting menu (7 services) and wine pairing, and the experience was perfect on all front. Definitely in the top 3 restaurants of Montreal.

Food and service was excellent! We opted for the tasting menu, and we got two dishes that were very similar to each other, quail and pigeon with very similar sauces. Everything was cooked to perfection, however despite everything being amazing, we found that the food had classic flavours that we had tasted before, and that is why it didn’t wow us in terms of flavours. Regardless it was excellent.

Pas des plats mais des bouchées. Prix exorbitant. Foie gras ordinaire et sauce/caille trop salée. Surfait et dépassé. M. Laprise n'y était sûrement pas, enfin je l'espère...les choix du menu dégustation étaient redondants (3 fruits de mer en entrée, caille et pigeonneau par la suite), un seul mini morceau de fromage. Très déçue.

La première fois que j'ai mangé à votre restaurant, j'ai pris la raie, la semaine dernière j'ai pris la pieuvre. Mes deux expériences ont été excellentes. J'ai adoré. Par contre, mon conjoint à fait une sévère indigestion : soit au sapin, soit à la chartreuse. Mais ça ne l'a pas empêché d'avoir grandement apprécié son expérience culinaire. Merci
