Retrogusto is a pizzeria and bar that brings some much needed excitement to the north end of Preston street. We serve a Roman style pizza "Tonda", traditional roman fried snacks, salumi, cheeses and other small plates. Our food will be complimented by a small wine list that will be in constant rotation, strictly Italian classic cocktails, and beautiful amaro's from around Italy. The warm, cozy, dimly lit dining room with an open kitchen will be the perfect place to do the only thing that matters; eat good food, drink good wine and have a good time with friends.

Excellent mushroom pizza, thin and crispy with great flavour, loved the chili oil on the side. Huge Caesar salad, and the shishito peppers with cheese were delish. Nice Etna red wine. Chris was very cheerful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Great experience! Ordered a Pizza and a tiramisu. The pizza had great flavour and texture. The tiramisu was rich and had a hint of coffee flavour. Tha addition of the dark chocolate was amazing. Food was on time and the service was friendly. The seating area is a bit small so it will be noisy if it's packed ...... but it's not unbearable. Overall a great experience of it's within your price range.

We went early due to late reservation. Staff were very accommodating and service was excellent. Food seems to be top notch quality. Perhaps a little on the pricy side but all costs seem to have gone up. Overall, very enjoyable.

Pizza was honestly top 3 in Ottawa and it could be #1 to a lot of people. Price was fair. Server was great. Restaurant is very very loud which is the only slight downfall but will definitely be back. Loved it.

Great friendly service, really tasty pizza and apps, good drink selection, with a casual atmosphere in a great location and parking. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Everything was yummy. From the appetizers to the main pizza of course. And our waiter Moe made the evening more enjoyable!! Will definitely return

The tomato basil salad is a great add-on to the menu, hope it gets added into regular rotation. Cocktails are great, pizza is amazing. Tiramisu is a big portion for one person.
