This was our first time back since they brought in a new culinary team. The menu was impressive, with something for everyone and at every price point. They offer an extensive variety of gluten free dishes and they are extremely careful and aware of cross-contact. Our server, Alex, was attentive without being intrusive, funny without being annoying, and relational, like us. He was very knowledgeable about the menu in its entirety—helping us make perfect cocktail choices, guiding us toward the best started decision we’ve probably ever made, assisting with wine pairing options, and answering any questions we had. We inhaled our salmon ceviche with pomegranate while sipping on a delicious cocktail each. We followed that with steak—I had a perfectly prepared 10 oz filet (because leftovers!) and my husband enjoyed a a cowboy special ribeye. We loved the puréed potato and seasonal veggies we added to our meal. We were treated to the most amazing seasonal flan that tasted like dreamy autumn on a plate. He had a latte and I had espresso to accompany our shared anniversary dessert. We liked it when they first opened, but had hopes for a better wine program and improved consistency form the kitchen. They have delivered and then some. We will be back for casual date nights (think tacos and a cocktail), and special occasions in the future. Well done, Rey Carbon!

Alex took good care of us. The salted butter was terrible. We heard other tables ask for regular butter also.

My wife and I went for an early Saturday date before heading to a show in Tacoma. Ambiance was strange because of location but overall wasn’t too bad. Service was fantastic but unfortunately couldn’t make up for the mediocre food. We ordered the guacamole appetizer it was fine, but for the price pretty lackluster, nothing special. Wife ordered a Flor da Sol cocktail it was great. My glass of wine was also good. The Brisket Suadero tacos were soggy, weirdly sweet, and the beef was pale and tasteless. Ordered a medium filet and it came out half well done on one side and medium well on the other. The steak only came with three pieces of carrot, three potato wedges, and a dash of salt and pepper. We also ordered the mixed roasted veggies that on the menu are described as roasted in olive oil. The dish that came out was like a Mole soup with a few veggies on top. We do not care for Mole and it was not on the menu. When we told them, the waiter was great and removed it from the bill. Overall it was not the best experience. I don’t see this place being open long.

Absolutely the best steak my wife and I have ever eaten! Steak knives were provided but were unnecessary! The server was attentive and helpful. Side dishes were excellent and very generous.

One of, if not the best dining experiences we have ever had. The decor is beautiful! Lots of wood and beautiful details. The service was outstanding. Our server Jullian was amazing. He gave the history of the restaurant. He was there when we needed him but didn’t hover. The restaurant was fairly empty for a Friday night, which is a shame. The food was beyond any expectation we could have imagined. We got that A5 Waygu, which we had never had before and it was delicious. We also got the roasted vegetables, the puréed potatoes and the locally foraged mushrooms. I could have eaten a bucket full of those mushrooms! They were like nothing I have ever tasted. Then as we were finishing up, Jullian said he had a surprise for us. He then brought out a different A5 Waygu steak, a New York cut. He said it was from the other side of the island, where they had gotten our fist steak. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I’m running out of adjectives to describe how amazing the food was but you have to try that steak, at least once in your life. Then he bought us champagne and an Apple pie dessert that was awesome. Best of all he told us the 2nd steak, the champagne and the dessert were compliments of the chef. Then the chef came out and we could thank him enough. Try this place please. Yes it’s pricie….but well worth the money!! Ron and Deb Myers

The steaks are pretty expensive, but all the sides are reasonable. Everything except the cauliflower was really good A place for a special celebration

It’s 100% better than it was in January during my first visit. I felt like they were trying to do too much but wasn’t quite successful with any of it. It was comfortable, our waiter Zach was charming and knowledgeable. His recommendations were well thought out and discussed. He was thoughtful of some of our food allergies. The food was amazing, the quality and elevated dishes exceeded expectations. I was expecting better after the new management and chef but this felt like and entirely different restaurant. I’m happy they took a chance on Lakewood, I know it’s not a popular location and I applaud them for doing so. I hope others follow. We will be back!

The staff were amazing. Bone in rib eye was delicious. Flank steak was ok. Price expected for rib eye but a bit disappointed in the flank. Price didn’t meet quality expectations.

My partner and I dined in at your restaurant this evening which happened to be, to our surprise, your grand opening night. We were very excited to try the food. We ordered the steamed clams for an appetizer, the mac & cheese, the papas bravas, and the 28 day dry aged bone in ribeye. Unfortunately most of the things we ordered we did not truly enjoy, the papas bravas being the only thing we sent back. We felt terrible to say anything in person and felt obligated to just suck it up and pay, but once we left we felt frustrated and unsatisfied especially after paying almost $200. I decided to reach out to express our concerns and experiences of everything, which we wish we would have taken the opportunity to be upfront about while at the restaurant. The steamed clams were pretty bland, the liquid it was sitting in tasted almost just like water, the mac & cheese although truly delicious I could taste the gas or butane on the top from whatever is used to give it the crusted cheesy top, and the bone in ribeye which we were most stoked on and actually decided to splurge for one of the most expensive cuts ended up being way way too greasy and buttery, and lacking flavor because of it, we didn’t want to eat but felt 100% obligated to because we knew we were paying $94 for it. I am so sorry to have to give such feedback but it was our genuinely honest experience. We would like to get a full refund for our meal, it’s not in our character to ever ask for something like this but it’s not sitting well knowing we spent so much to really not have enjoyed our meal at all. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
