    I thought the place was way too loud. Service was great and food was as well. I would recommend you should give customers the ability to schedule the bocci ball online. I put in my request same day at 9am for a 6:15 court time since we had a dinner reservation for 8 at 5:15 and didn't find out until we arrived that we couldn't get the a court reserved same day. SO disappointing.

    Staff was super accommodating for my Grandpa and they were understanding of us even after we got there later than our reservation time. Delicious food and we all had a good time at the restaurant. Looking forward to the next time I eat there :)

    1st time here, but not the last! Great fun! The staff is wonderful, food is tasty, craft beers are amazing! I do wish there were more vegan choices though. Would love to see main dishes, maybe using portabella mushrooms or jackfruit, non dairy cheeses and egg free items so every palate can enjoy. There isn't a lot to choose from.

    We had the large pretzel & summer sausage appetizers, pork schnitzel, and a couple sausage dinners plus cheesy spatzel for all. It's a little heavy, but as expected for German food. There's a large selection of beers on tap. The place is airy with a lot of finished wood and plenty of light. There was a soccer game on above us (without the sound, I think), but it wasn't distracting. The prices are in line with other Seattle restaurants. We went for my husband's birthday with our 2 kids in their 20s & all enjoyed it.

    Spent our holiday friend brunch here and it was great. Enjoyed the QR code menu ordering and payment. Service was quick and friendly. Played a round of Bocce and we didn’t have to wait for a court. Highly recommend for large groups.

    The atmosphere here is lovely and the bocce hall is great! The food was a bit of a let down - our giant pretzel was burnt and the veggie burger patty was quite disappointing. The service was alright but we had a very grumpy server!

    Joseph our server was fantastic; he provided efficient and professional service. The food was delivered in a timely manner with the nine of us. I enjoy having my birthday party there as the space is huge enough to feel safe during this time of Covid.

    Food and atmosphere was great, but service was slow after the food came and felt kind of weird, like we were bothering the workers when we asked for another drink or a box (because we hadn’t seen our server in awhile). Bocce was fun, they fit us in right away. Lots of beer options. Maybe it was just an off night?

    This was our first time visiting the restaurant -- we were three generations with four adults and three kids. Our food was good with large portions and interesting options. The kids' chicken fingers were large and excellent quality. The giant pretzel was fun and delicious. Our friends loved their German dishes, and I thought the fries were yummy -- thin and salty. We all enjoyed eating there. We picked this place because of location, ethnicity, and the bocce court to distract the kids. They loved it! Our main wait-staff, whose name I wish I could remember, was one of the most competent and attentive we've ever had at a restaurant that wasn't fancy. The man who brought the food from the kitchen was equally attentive and gave fast service without forgetting a thing on a busy night. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. There's a small parking lot on a side street, which is always welcome in overcrowded downtown. I honestly don't have any complaints, but I think other diners might like to know that only some areas have traditional table service -- most are served by QR code which would have a been a hassle for us, but maybe not from you. I don't know if they have AC, but it wasn't on -- we weren't uncomfortable, but be aware that could be an issue on very warm nights. At first I thought the music was going to be too loud for any conversation, but we adjusted after a few minutes and it worked for us. We are going to take our adult children soon on a cooler night, so obviously we liked it just fine! We definitely recommend the restaurant to you!

    We had a reservation but the restaurant was closed or a private event when we arrived so we had to figure out somewhere else to go. I’m not sure why they were accepting reservations since they were closed. I still want to check out this place, but this was a disappointing experience.

    We ate at Rhein Haus for my son’s birthday. The food was great! We definitely over-ordered, but it was just as good to take home the extras. The warm German chocolate cake was a complete show-stopper. I don’t normally like German Chocolate cake, but my son insisted I try a bit. I’m so glad he did because it was amazing!

    1.) set reservation well in advance for 11 people. Arrived, they were only ready for 8, and we had to wait for people to leave nearby table that fit 11+ people so we could sit together. 2.) So many menu items were unavailable: 3.) Cheesy Spatzle was bland, and only a couple bites taken. 4.) Veggiewurst was not good, could not eat. 5.) waiter assumed we weren’t there for dinner, and was shocked when we said we were ready to order. 6.) It was sweltering, no cross breeze or fan. Mirror wall reflected west sunlight and blinded entire party Of people. It was hot, bright, and unpleasant. We had to ask host to lower some Of the curtains twice because of the blinding light. Overall, they weren’t prepared for us, they were aloof, had limited item availability, and were not very customer oriented. It was not a great experience, and I’m disappointed that i selected this location to celebrate my mother’s birthday. We were used to the Tacoma Rhein Haus, which was always an amazing experience.

    My family came to Rhein Haus on a Sunday afternoon following my German mother's memorial. It was her wish that we all celebrate together at a nice, German restaurant. She would have loved the food and seeing us all together. My favorite was the Bratwurst. We were a party of 10 and sat very comfortably in the fireplace room which looks like a Bavarian hunting lodge. I can't wait to come back in the winter when there's a crackling fire in the huge fireplace. Billy was very friendly and helpful answering my endless questions in the days leading up to our reservation. He greeted me always with big smile. Eli made sure the service was exceptional. Both he and Billy were compassionate and offered condolences for our dear Mutti's passing. It all made for a very special occasion.
