Great menu, great food and fantastic service. One small item: might want to get blinds for the top, south-facing windows, the blinding sunlight at lunchtime was a bit uncomfortable.
We didn’t realize it was Tapas Tuesday when we made the reservation, but was very pleased with the food selection and quality. The wine recommendation from our server was perfect and all around the service was exceptional! We will be back!!
We had a great meal and Fabienne (did I spell that correctly?) was spot on with his service, personalities and recommendations! Would love to go back sooner rather than later.
I attended the "Sunday Jazz Brunch" and it was fantastic. Great selection, good ingredients and an option for "Free flow" drinks, that can make for a nice "Boozy Brunch" as well. The service was incredible (I believe his name was Clark) and the manager was fantastic as well. The price is quite high, so if you're not a big eater, it may not be worth it for you. Also, the seating's are for two hours (11-1 and 1-3), so make sure you book your reservations for the start, to get the most for your money. I will definitely be back.
I really enjoyed the experience at Ricarda’s. My food was amazing and the service was top notch !
Share journey was a great option to taste the menu
Very lovely food and ambiance. Not snooty, just good food. Delish
Flat breads and fresh salads were amazing. Cornish hens were a big hit with my dinner mates. Perch was not to my liking (was not noted as being smoked and I'm not a fan of smoked fish).
Best point is the accessibility, many places are listed as accessible but aren't which can be trying. This place is truly accessible for those in motorized wheel chairs.
A bit too loud for me
Highly recommended especially for parents with young children! Richard's Sunday Jazz Brunch offer quality buffet, also hot stations for fresh made omelette, pastas as well as eggs benedict!! Best part for parents is they set up a very decent sized play area with some toys and a bouncy castle, WITH childcare staff to watch your kids for you so you can finally sit down and enjoy a meal. Worry about food for the kiddo? They set up a little buffet table for the kids at the play area! You can't beat this offering!! The restaurant is also spacious so you can comfortably bring in and park your stroller by your table if your little one is sleeping in it.
Restaraunt is nice on the inside but the food prices are a little bit high for what you actually get. 17$ for a salmon benny that comes with nothing but some green salad is a bit much, most places have it comes with a bunch of fruit for the same or less. Also when you say eggs any style be prepared to make omelettes for people, makes no sense why they would refuse and say they simply "cant" make an omlette, its not exactly hard
Amazing service from all staff who visited our table. The GM Michael was very personable and made our meal very enjoyable with the conversation. The food was beautifully presented and executed perfectly. 5 stars and definitely will return
First time at the restaurant and very pleasantly surprised. Food was amazing and the service, exemplary. Had some confusion over an order and it rectified quickly and professionally. Thank you Megan for your attentive service. We will definitely be back.
Ambiance was beautiful! We ordered a flatbread and risotto. The risotto wasn't very hot when it arrived and our server was quick to bring us another fresh plate. A little pricey but great service.
Not great food. Long wait to be served. Overpriced.
Creative and delicious food to suit all tastes - many dishes had a really good twist!
Tomato salad was amazing. I don't know how they do it, the the tomatoes tasted so so good!! The patras flat bread was nice too. And the pavlova and the lava cake were to die for. The pastry chef at Ricarda's did a fabulous job!
My wife, our three daughters and I grabbed dinner before heading off to a Mirvish theatre production. This was our first time at this restaurant, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service was impeccable, with very knowledgeable wait staff who were attentive throughout the evening. The food and wine were excellent in terms of presentation and taste as well as price points. And despite this being our first time, we were treated as if we were regulars. We will definitely make our way back to this gem when we visit Toronto again.
Great food, wine, ambience, and service! A real surprise. Awesome place.
Everything was great! We dined on a Tuesday so the menu was only tapas. Everything was delicious and we got to try a variety of foods. Will definitely return to try the regular dinner menu!
Went on Tapas Tuesday without realizing it! The food was well presented and very interesting flavours. I would recommend if your are not afraid of a bit of adventure in your meal.
Food was great with exception of over cooked grilled octopus. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would dine there again.
Went there on a Saturday evening for a get together with some friends. It was six of us, with a baby so had to have space for the baby carriage. Got to sit in a big loungey table which I liked, since there was comfortable space on the couches. The place looks fantastic, very classy. Large windows everywhere which is something I like. The food was pretty good too, as was the service. We ordered some appetizers, mains, pastas, desserts. Everyone's plate looked quite delicious. The martinis were good and strong (they use Grey Goose). Got some wine too, so it wasn't a cheap meal by any means. I don't like to give 5 stars because that implies it's perfect and not many things are. But it's a strong 4 stars all around. Recommend for a nice occasion.
It was my husband’s birthday where they were great by surprising him with a cake. Thank you.
However my shakshoukeh egg was returned twice as I had asked for the white of the egg to be cooked which was not. The whole plate had no taste. I asked for extra bread it arrived after the meal. We asked for croissant our server said there is none until we saw the basket and another server got us some.
Honestly I would not go again. Our server was nice and smiling all the time but whatever we asked for was complicated for her.Good luck with other customers.
I didn’t take pictures as I only take pictures of good food... sorry for that
The restaurant is amazing if I may add.
Nice ambiance, menu, great staff know well menu and were able to suggest good options
Went there for lunch with a friend, the space is beautiful, staff is very friendly and efficient. We had the steak salad and one of the pizzas. Both were delicious and we felt satisfied. I would have ordered dessert too, but we had to get back to work. Will definitely come back again. They also have a section that seemed to be for getting baked goods and coffee.
This was my first visit to Toronto, and wanted to have a healthy brunch with jazz. I followed your recommendation, and had an amazing experience. The food and choices are over the top, service outstanding and great jazz. Truly a highlight of my visit to Toronto. I'm still dreaming about the raw bar!!
The food was good and the service was great. Nothing too fancy, but a had a great night out.
Great food, great venue. Reasonably priced given the quality of food and great atmosphere
We had the Sunday jazz brunch buffet. The music was great, tasteful and not too loud for conversation. Ambiance is lovely. There was a good selecetion of high-quality food, and service was always prompt and attentive. At $60 a head (additional $30 for bottomless drinks), the brunch was pricey, but definitely worth it for a special occasion.
Food was really bland and there was not much of it. Left the restaurant still hungry. Very overpriced for what they serve, both in quantity, quality, and presentation. Good service but won't be dining here again unless it's to pick up a croissant.
Love the food specially the oysters and the mouth watering roast beef!
Our son also wouldn't leave the children's play area. The lady watching the kids is also awesome! She actually remembered us from the last time we went there which was a year ago!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience at Ricarda’s. We had the summerlicious menu and everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. Thank you
Beautiful restaurant. Food was very tasty. The service was a bit slow. We had to ask the waiter to take our order after sitting there for almost 20 minutes. Waiting for our drinks also took a long time. Overall, we still had a wonderful evening. Maybe have some background music also.
Went to this one to meet a 10 year old female undergrad friend who just returned from NY. I reached out to her over facebook and said I want to reconnect. She then immediately asked me for a coffee, then escalated to a dinner. Right off of bat I know what she implied -- a date, or a rediscovery. Being in early 30s I think a rousing bar or any cheap eat wouldn't reflect our age and the occasion, not like days back in school, so to suit the purpose I searched a quiet, quality dinner near her place in downtown. I didn't want to be seen by acquaintances so I chose a pricey venue, probably less known to my circle. I went there by uber (parking is a problem). Received, seated and ordered a glass of white wine. The setting is actually better then my expectation. Ample room, dim atmosphere, glass window with scene of downtown, decors united in clean, classy post-modern theme with a romance twist. Food honestly befits the bill and the atmosphere! Not cheap, warn you, but worth the trouble of commute and money. There's a smart casual dress code and people all showed up to impress but not to the degree of dressing up to nines. Recommended for a romantic night-out!
This was my 2nd visit and we went for summerlicious. The dinner was a great value and every meal across the 4 people were each delicious. Trendy decor and very nice service, I feel like it’s a hidden gem in this city.
Great service, excellent food. Went for Summerlicious and would definitely come again non-licious!
Overall, Ricarda’s is good. I was pretty disappointed that their website didn’t state they were using the Summerlicious menu as I probably wouldn’t have gone. There wasn’t much on the summer menu I wanted and had to settle. Portions are extremely small but food is tasty. Atmosphere is very nice and staff are friendly and quick.
Me and my friend went there for summerlicious. This is a really nice restaurant. The deco is really mordern and really clean and organized. The service was good, the servers were really friendly. My friend and him even had a small chat. The food quality was nice, the flavors were there and the presentation was amazing. However, I just wish the portion was a bit bigger.
Great place and not only our server but also everyone who served us were very polite and friendly. Food was really nice. I loved grilled snapper, Cornish’s hen and lovely desserts! Dessert ( well, all dishes ) were beautifully plated. We will be back!
