   Went for a brunch. Hostess was unprofessional, there was miscommunication issues. We weren’t walked to table she just pointed the table and we walked ourselves,Server was friendly however didn’t touch the table much, we had to go and ask another server for the bill.Our food was dropped another table first which it happens but after bad first impression at the door I just want to mention it. Beef short rip has came room temperature looked little bit small portion to be honest. I really like shakshouka it was tasty but I don’t know if would dine in again

   My friend and I had the char with fennel puree and vegetables for lunch yesterday. While the service was great and the food was really tasty, the portion was tiny and we left the restaurant feeling hungry. I'd highly recommend increasing the portion size to ensure customers keep coming back.

   The Champagne brunch was more than we had expected. Service, ambiance and food especially was well worth the price and looking forward to returning again. Our server was the most pleasant and truly heightened our experience. Thanks Ricarda for a memorable early Mothers Day celebration for a group of childhood friends…what a great day!

    It was Easter Sunday!! Inadequate service, beginning with drinks, to start. Ordered cocktails for my Easter birthday, which took forever. Would have liked to see a nice selection of breakfast pastries, interesting desserts, on display. Bare bones, minimalistic choices. The Eggs Bendict was just okay, according to my son. My daughter’s Banana bread-French toast left her saying she will be hungry again in about an hour. The burger was very good, and my gruyere-ham croissant was bland. The truffle/parmesan fries were nice!

    This was my third time at Ricarda’s and have to say the best. The guava mimosa is as always a perfect start; a smooth flavourful Americano and eggs benny that rivals those found on Victoria Island in BC. The right amount of deliciously roasted potatoes and a salad that is always fresh and crisp (impressive given we aren’t in vegetable growing season). The flavours were great and not at all salty, which I found the first two visits. Looking forward to the next time!

    Champagne Brunch was so much fun with a lively ambiance, great music, delicious food and great service. Ideal for a group outing; the music can get loud do if you are looking to go on a first date, maybe pick a day when it's not the champagne brunch.

    The apres ski brunch concept was a really good one and we knew there would be music and if wouldn’t be a low key affair BUT we literally could not hear each other. We are screaming at the person beside us and they still couldn’t hear what we were saying. Just turning it down while brunch is in full swing would be appreciated. The food was really good but it was tough to celebrate my daughter’s 25th because we just went able to communicate with each other!

    Perfect venue for brunch. Nice menu, lovely plates with extras and the best shakshuka I have had in the city. One quibble -- one menu item reads "eggs any style" but should say "most styles". The kitchen doesn't do omelettes. The service was warm and friendly and no pressure against lingering for a leisurely experience. The live Sunday jazz in a large bright space is welcome background.

    I really loved the all you can eat seafood buffet and charcuterie plus an entree options I was so full! The service was excellent too! Only reason I gave 4 star is they call it a champagne brunch no champagne included and the only options they put on the table were the higher priced Moët Chandon and the cheapest Champagne they were out of so we got two bottles Prosecco. Also not a fan of eating preshucked oysters and I didn’t see anyone shucking them plus friends said they weren’t cold enough. Other than that I would come back and the vibe and live music was great..try to get table by 130 cause entertainment starts late like at 2pm

    Server great, we lied and said everything was great but my ricotta pancakes were gross. Cottage cheese and ricotta are not the same thing and the little squeaky cottage cheese chunks were just disgusting. My guess is they mixed ricotta and cottage cheese together. I know the difference thanks. There were 5 tiny wild blueberries sprinkled on top (a giant box at Farm Boy is $20 - and 5 is just laughable) - the maple syrup was not that. It was fake or mixed with some type of corn syrup. And the teaspoon dollop of whipped cream was hilarious. I understand inflation but this is crazy. Maybe don’t mislead people on your menu. It was cheap in comparison to other places so I guess you get what you pay for. I guess most people drink and don’t notice the swap outs lol. If I was in my early 20’s I probably would have loved it.

    We went for a post-pandemic opening Sunday brunch. The main things that are not offered anymore are the buffet and the childcare. Both were the reasons we visited Ricarda's pre-pandemic and made the experience so unique and satisfying. Brunch is now a la carte. Menu is limited. Food quality is decent enough but nothing mind blowing. Main thing is that value for money isn't there. I ordered banana bread French Toast. Got 2 small slices of bread with a tiny scoop of ice cream and some drizzle. $16. Ordered 2 peach ice teas. We got 2 skinny glasses full of ice. $4.50 per glass. So value for money isn't there. Kids meals were great though. Kids loved their chicken fingers and fries. $12 each. Unless they bring back buffet and childcare, there are a wide variety of better brunch places in downtown Toronto we can go to.
