Richardson's Tavern has been a comfortable haven for American travelers since 1793.
Our cuisine is thoughtfully sourced throughout Vermont.
During the summer growing season we feature fresh produce from our very own 3 acre organic certified Kelly Way Gardens right down Route 106.
The essence of Vermont and flavor-driven plates are paired with a bar featuring local craft brews, hand crafted cocktails, and a wide range of wines by the glass, half bottle, and bottle.
A relaxed atmosphere invites warm conversation and friendly company among friends and family. Dine al fresco on the porch in the warmer months or sink into the oversized lounge chairs fireside for a casual drink or meal.

Food was below average. My steak came overcooked with a mountain of greasy fries. Not a good look for a modern Tavern in a quaint setting. Service was impeccable and courteous. They took back my steak and corrected it and brought me vegetables instead of fries this time. I liked the way they handled it. Still - recommend the food get overhauled to simpler/higher standard of Tavern fare.

The Woodstocker burger, roasted squash and tomato soup, and Campanelle pasta were absolutely delicious! However reservations are a must because they don’t seem to hold back any tables for walk-ins (same goes for the Red Rooster.)

Always a good experience at The Tavern. With a perfect evening temperature, we ate outside. We weren’t rushed in any way. We were graciously welcomed by the hostess (Nikki(?), and our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Good evening with good friends!

My husband had the fish tacos - 2 small pieces of fish loaded with slaw served with a mound of warm soggy fries. I had the vegetable pasta dish which was hot and flavorful. Would have been nice to have some bread. We had the onion dip as an appetizer. Lots of chips sparse on veggies. Rounded out with 2 glasses of wine. Our server was very attentive. As compared to other dining experiences, this was an average meal.

Service and food quality have really declined. Such a shame. Our server was really dismissive of (or maybe not trained about) how to manage a serious peanut allergy in our party. Service was slow, food arrived cold.
