Rick's on Main
We feature a wide range of salads, including our fan favorite Fall Creek Salad, a Boston Bibb Salad with sliced apples and a gorgonzola vinaigrette, Rick's Chopped Salad tossed in parmesan peppercorn dressing and a Baby Spinach Salad with apple wood smoked bacon vinaigrette. Also included on Rick’s on Main’s extensive lunch menu is our Soup Sampler which is 3 different cups of soup along with appetizers and sandwiches.
Reservations are for indoor dining only. The Patio is seated first come, first served.
Overall excellent experience. Friday Dish Fry was delicious.
good atmosphere, excellent service & seated quickly.
Had the NY strip too dry for my taste as was the wife's medallions.
good pours for our drinks no skimping there.
Would try again
Excellent pasta and amazing stuffed banana peppers. One of my wife’s favorite spots. Wine list has few moderate priced selections however. Staff is great and ambiance is comfortable. Summer on the deck is even better!
Food was good and so was service. This will be an occasional visit. Very expensive
Food was OK. Not necessarily memorable and most certainly overpriced. (Alla carte pasta dishes for$30-$35. Steak with lobster tail for $69.99 offered as a "special" with no price mentioned upfront.
Went to Rick's for Valentine's Day lunch. Had made a reservation and when we arrived the only tables available were either a high top or one by the back door, both in the bar. After considering whether we would stay, we opted for the table by the door. A bit drafty but we decided we could handle it. Before our order came, the hostess came to to tell us a table had opened up and we were welcome to use it. We were very appreciative that she remembered our concern and that she wanted to be sure we were comfortable. Unfortunately, the roast beef in the sandwich I ordered was very tough and not enjoyable at all. I am not one to complain in restaurants but, when our waiter asked about the meal, I mentioned the roast beef quality. He immediately took it away and offered to replace it with a steak sandwich, which was excellent and made the entire experience so much better. Both the hostess and the waiter are great examples of what a quality restaurant experience should be. Kudos to Rick's for standing behind your product and for having a staff who really cares about the customer. We have been to this restaurant many times and always come away happy with our choice.
Friends getting together!
Alexis was OUTSTANDING as our server and my family and I loved our meals. Met the owner and he took time to check in on us. Class act!
Steak cooked to perfection!
Portion size is generous .
Very disappointed in the Gluten Free options. There were no soups and no appetizers that were gluten free and dairy free. The waiter was neither accommodating nor sympathetic to my plight. He did not offer any suggestions or potential meal modifications. He simply said, "Too bad." Not acceptable for such an upscale restaurant in East Aurora. Will not be returning any time soon.
Babs is the best! Great service. Delicious food. Not your average lunch time menu.
I think my wife and I have found a new favorite dinning spot. We were celebrating our third wedding anniversary. Our dinning specialist was Terri, she couldn't have done anything better that would have enhanced our experience, she was awesome. Poor weather set us back a bit and the hostess was so pleasant and held our reservation, which allows me to write this well deserved and earned review. The food was great and the ambiance was incredible. We had a nice cozy spot next to the fireplace. We can wait until the weather breaks a bit to sit on the patio. I am looking forward to trying a RICKS MANHATTAN. What a great experience.
We go to Ricks for a nice dinner out and are usually happy with our experience and food. However last night the service was very poor, food was extremely underwhelming especially for the price. We got the Wagu strip special which was cooked well but had absolutely no flavor and was served with fries that were still raw potatoes. Went home very unsatisfied after a rather expensive meal. Unfortunately after this we will think twice about going back anytime in the near future.
I always get the scallops tostados...it’s so good. Salads are excellent. The new owner has done a very nice job. Beautiful aesthetic improvements with lighting, a banquet room, etc
Good food and wonderful service!!
Our server, Max, was outstanding. The food was good - although on the expensive side for lunch.
The atmosphere is always classy at Rick's. We enjoy going there for an excellent meal. On the pricey side but the value and flavorful meal far outweighs the cost. The sides that come with the main meal are innovative and make the entree that much more interesting.
Food was excellent
We had a wonderful time! The food was just delicious and the ambiance cozy and warm. I was most impressed with the staff who handle a slight issue with a neighboring table with grace and respect in a very discreet manner. I can’t wait to return.
Not my first visit at Rick's on Main and the food quality, service and ambiance is always perfect.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Only slight negative was that it was alittle pricey, in my opinion.
Lovely meal. Wonderful service. Cocktails are a little pricey, but overall a good experience.
Had such a wonderful experience!!!
waiter , Nick ,was attentive but not rushing us in any way. Food was outstanding-chicken Milanese and seafood tortellini
We can always rely on a good meal at Rick’s. The service is great and the food is delicious.
Steaks were cooked perfectly. Large salads and very tasty potatoes for sides. Would go back!
We were upstairs. Quaint building with Roycroft feel. Waitstaff were attentive and pleasant. Food was delicious and served hot. We went on Monday of Restaurant week and the food choices were very good and generous. I will return .
We sat in bar area so a little noisy
I had an excellent salad for lunch at Rick's. Our service was also excellent.
Prices on website are not the actual prices. The restaurant is far more expensive - higher priced than the Roycroft. The food was extremely mediocre - fish was not fresh, couscous was old and mushy, pork was not tender.
Very, very disappointed.
Food quality keeps going down while prices go up.
The food, service and location was outstanding but after sunset the ceiling lights came on very bright and after we asked to have it dimmed they came back on really bright a few more times. That was really weird
Food was delicious and service was very good , but we were very surprised that the loud background music in dining room sounded more like a rowdy bar, ac-dc sound, Queen, etc. if we are spending money for a nice dinner and cocktails we expect more suitable ambiance. We asked and the bartender did change it a bit and it wasn’t as loud but went from heavy metal and not the typical classic rock to Queen and Madonna. I love the music but it wasn’t appropriate for this setting.
My husband and I really enjoy the food at Rick's. It's consistent, delicious and very satisfying. He always orders the lobster pasta, and I always get the fall creek salad. Yum!
Anniversary celebration - great food and we enjoyed ourselves. One thing that I was surprised about was that a family of 6 was turned away because there wasn’t a table of 6 available except on the patio. It was a little too cold so the family left to find somewhere else to eat. There were 5 empty tables by us the entire time we were there. 🤷🏻♀️
We also sat for 15 minutes before a waiter came over.
Great but chilly night on the patio. Waiter helpfully got me a toasty blanket. Food was excellent as always. Service was timely, but not at all rushed, which allowed for great conversation.
We reserved a table for four outside at 6:30 pm on Aug. 31st. When we got there we were told they had just finished seating everyone on the patio, it was full and there would be quite a wait. Hello! Why didn't they hold our table for us? I had the reservation details on my phone. We were sent upstairs to a bleak, large room where we were only one of two tables occupied. I ordered a particular beer. When the server came back it was with a different beer because they were out of the one I ordered. He thought I would like this one. Hello! What happened to actually asking a patron what they want instead? Overall, not a pleasant experience, but hey, no one is holding a gun to our heads to ever come back. By the way, that's what it would take.
Took my mother out for a late 85th birthday dinner; we booked on Open Table but were told our table wasn’t quite ready. After more than 20 minutes, I inquired and they said they thought we wanted an outside table. Basically, the restaurant only books their outside tables as inside seating is plentiful. They should make this clear. We never asked for an outside table. They apologized and seated us right away. Then it was a while till our waiter came, and let’s just say it went sharply downhill from there. We were treated like second class citizens—not even water refills. For a restaurant charging these prices for food that was good but nothing amazing I would expect attentive service. After an interminable wait to get my bill and an interminable wait for him to come back to take the bill, I finally got up to go downstairs to pay—the waiter showed up at that point when he was tipped off to that, I guess. Let’s just say I NEVER tip less than 20% and I sure did this time. I also am not picky and don’t leave these types of reviews, but this was unacceptable for a dinner for 3 costing more than $150 with no dessert ordered. Truly the worst service I’ve had in years.
We went on a Friday night which was very busy. Waited quite a while before anyone came over to take our drink order. After one whiskey & gingerale drink for someone at our table when he asked for a second was told they didn't have anymore. He then ordered a vodka and gingerale and was brought a vodka and water. We had to ask to have bread. Again, it was very busy, but there was quite a wait in between.
The restaurant itself was very loud, people talking & laughing so loud. Service was extremely slow & Chris was inattentive & was asked a few times to get water.
Took forever for food to come out. The food was tasty
But I felt my dinner plate was just thrown together.
The seafood trio appetizer was the best!
