    Food was delicious but portion of side which was purée potato with chicken breast was extreme small. Also took a long time to receive food when restaurant was almost empty. They prepared for a function and wait staff was concentrating on that but other guests such as our group was priority since we were here. Overall good though.

    Good value for your money and we all enjoyed our food. Only negative was they forgot our appetizer, but we didn’t need it so that ended up being a plus. 😆

    What a shame for a place like that. We arrived at 8:30 with our kids on a reservation. The host was frist surprised and point us the fron booth as she ad no place for having kids when the restaurant was not busy. The hist try to help the servers and it was they try get get us out as soon as it was possible. It was pounted to us the we only had 10 minutes as the kitchen would be closed soon. Our wine did arrived after our food and a long time after only because we pointed it out. The food was blend or not making senses with flavours the mayo for the calamary was not to our taste and the tuna was realy missing flavours, our kid fries were cold and our daughter chickens strios were over fried ( brown colour). Any way all the experience was not much then a 2 stars.

    Really good food, tried the steak frites and mussels, however the service was just super slow. Especially given that the restaurant looked to be at 10% of capacity, it was crazy slow.

    From start to finish, this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. We waited at the host stand for about 5 minutes to be greeted by the host. in the meantime, we were told by three different employees, including the manager, that the host would be with us shortly, even though they were not actively doing anything. We felt as though the manager could have assisted. After being sat, it took 7 minutes to be greeted, and another 15 minutes to receive water. The cocktails were okay but the food was not good. We ordered three appetizers, 2 entrees and two sides. We were served the calamari first which had no seasoning and the sauce lacked flavor. Then pork belly which was probably the best thing we tried. After that, they served us our mussels and our salmon, which was one of the entrees, at the same time and said it was a mishandling? It was strange but we didn’t mind. The mussels were supposed to be served with bread, we never received that and never saw our server to ask for it. The salmon was severely overcooked and dry. Next course, our carbonara fries. One of our sides with our entrees, but was served solo. They were good fries with a misleading name. They were just Parmesan fries. After that we received our crab risotto and mushrooms. The worst of it all. The mushrooms were sautéed but crispy. And the crab was served cold on the side of the Luke warm undercooked and crunchy risotto. After mixing them together, the whole dish was cold. We all three took two bites before deciding it was inedible, not that our server cared at all. We watched the staff stand around and chit chat or go back into the kitchen to eat all night. They have an open kitchen, so we could see the food just sitting there getting cold while the manager stood behind the bar hanging out or stood in the kitchen just eating. Less than helpful. Then, for a party of three, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity. Maybe that’s why they don’t care about service. Tip is guaranteed. Horrible food.

    Great place for a night out. We sat next to the kitchen and had fun watching the team prepare meals. Our food was excellent, but the timing was off on our main dish - a two-part presentation. The two parts came nearly 10 minutes apart. The team made an immediate decision to comp the main meal, which we appreciated. Other reviewers noted the timing can be off here, they are working on it - don't let that keep you from enjoying the ambiance and food at Rider! We'll be back!

    We had brunch on Father’s Day at Rider and loved it. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I love that they encourage family style so we all could try each of the dishes. We’ve eaten dinner here several times and are really happy that they’re now open for brunch. We’ll definitely be back!

    Everything that could go wrong did on a special occasion night. Table wasn’t set when we arrived which seemed like not big deal…until our appetizers arrived and we had no plates, utensils or napkins to eat them with. Glasses of wine (2) took 20+ minutes to arrive. And the place wasn’t that busy. Salmon dish was inedible (and this is Seattle—a city that is all about salmon). They were out of several items on the menu…our reservation was at 730. They gave us happy hour menus for beverage selection and then said we couldn’t order any of the food items on them….which differed from many items in the dinner menu. (We didn’t care about potential price difference, some of the items could have been served anyway (cheese plate…no go after 5). Several things arrived for our gluten free guests with crumbs decorating the plate (after we’d been assured the dishes were gluten free). Three guests have celiac disease so they would have gotten very sick. So sad as the interiors were lovely and clearly someone has put a lot of thought into the menu. But when a burger is even terrible (bun was like something from an airport cafeteria…dry and too big with no flavor), you’ve got problems. Incredibly disappointing on a special night we can’t get back.

    Service, ambiance and noise levels were great. Pasta dish, chowder and octopus were VERY salty, though the octopus was cooked very well. Pasta and chowder were so salty we couldn't get through more than half of it. Salmon was outstanding and NY steak was tasty and well cooked. Deserts were good. The bill came with an included 20% tip for a party of 4. I would have tipped at least 20 because our server was very good. But I am 100% opposed to included service fees, especially high percentages. The point of a tip is to reward based on the service received. Automatically including it in the bill is offensive and subverts its purpose. Even if the food was good, i wouldn't eat here again based on principle.

    The wine list doesn't offer enough red options in the $40 - $65 price point. The list skews heavily in the $80 - $250 direction, which isn't commesurate with they food they're serving. It'd be an ideal place to bring your own bottle and pay the corkage fee.

    My husband and I took our son and two granddaughters to dinner before going to a play at the Paramount Theatre. The atmosphere is very hip and fun, our server was excellent. Very helpful in making recommendations and attentive. The food was outstanding! We had sturgeon, steelhead and steak with delicious, creative accompaniments to each dish. Overall, a wonderful, special dining experience! And just a quick walk to the theatre!

    This was our first visit to Rider. Valentines Weekend in Seattle was delicious. We had the Chef’s Tasting Menu, which was uniquely tasty. Our waiter, Justin, was efficient and had a great sense of humor. We highly recommend Rider as a place to taste great food.

    Dozen Oysters to start, our server chose a perfect combination of tastes as we described what we like, he knew the selection very well. Sunchoke dish with the bonito and steelhead roe, just amazing, one of the best dishes we have ever tasted. Main course was the 14 day aged steak. It was cooked to perfection. One of the best, if not the best meal were have ever had. Made a perfect valentines meal for my wife and I

    Very nice place located right by Pacific Place. Service was outstanding. The food was very good but I would not say 5 stars. The brussel sprouts were very smokey and a bit too spicy (even though I like spicy). the NY Strip was good, but I could have used a bit larger of a portion. The calamari was excellent and the rolls are addicting.

    What a wonderful dinner! Our service was outstanding, and food was delicious. I had the sturgeon and my husband had the steelhead and prawns. Wishing the prawns had been pre-cracked as they were messy to get out of the shell, but otherwise a terrific meal. As others have said, the rolls are not the be missed; they're divine. Thank you, Rider, for a fun evening out!

    This was our first time eating at Rider. We selected it for a pre- performance brunch because of its proximity to the Paramount. Our server, Marielle, was wonderful and made the overall experience most enjoyable. We will definitely be returning for future performances, although we will probably be selecting more traditional breakfast menu items (really recommend toning down the cole slaw on the crab toast, - it really overpowered the crab. Everything else was great).

    Recommended by one of our SF chef friends who worked with him at Boulevard-this restaurant did not disappoint! One of the most amazing dining experiences I have had in a long time. Chef Dan and team turned out amazing food (taste and visually speaking), service impeccable! Great wine list. Wow! Can’t wait to dine here again!

    Fresh excellent food. Loved the Pappy’s whiskey flight. All the entrees and cocktails were unique and delicious. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Servers cleared our area and provided fresh plates and utensils, which isn’t a given in fine dining anymore.
