    The food was outstanding. We had 7pm reservations but waiting until 745 to be seated. It then took a while for a server to come to our table to greet us. The bartender just said "Well, we have people camping out tonight, that's why your not seated" but didn't offer us a drink or anything. We ended up ordering a drink by happenstance about 3 minutes before being seated while we were being seated we were casually told, your first rounds on us. We just felt it could have been handled differently, more upfront, more communicative.

    The food was good —but not like it used to be before it became a Prix Fix menu. My chicken was dry, the duck papperdelle was not as good as it used to be. The budino was very good.

    Great, authentic Italian food with fine service. We came with one $100 gift card and one $20 gift card, both from pre-covid days (we don't make it to Milwaukee that often). The $100 card was honored, the $20, purchased simultaneously with the other, was not. The waitress showed us the card and said that their system did not recognize it. This was disappointing, as their policy says that gift cards never expire.

    The dinner focused on Florence cuisine and was fabulous! We had a group and tried several items. The Chicken-ricotta meatballs, Pappardelle Al Ragu, beef shin braised in Sangiovese and the Chilled sea salt caramel pudding are not to be missed! The service was good until the restaurant got more crowded. It was difficult to get the attention of staff to order a bottle of wine and more drinks.

    Very much enjoy the easy set menu, and each course was absolutely delicious. Service was spectacular and the ambiance is always extremely enjoyable. Wish we could have been on the patio but Wisconsin weather prevented that.

    We eat here several times a year and enjoy the tour of Italy. Last nights dinner was the best so far. Our waiter had excellent recommendations and we will be back in future. Best restaurant in Milwaukee area.

    This was unfortunately a disappointment. The food was just average and not what we have experienced in the past. We sure hope to find the special menus/wines more authentic in the future. The service was very good.

    Less impressive than dining experiences before this one. While we asked our server to give us some time before ordering we didn't intend to be ignored. Food was ok but not that special, especially for fix pris at $75-80. Zuppe rather boring, pasta dishes were good but lacked any punch or great flavor, same with veal and dessert. With many good Italian restaurants in the area I found this trip to Bartolatta's disappointing.

    Food was good, although we didn’t realize that they were doing a special menu for Sicily. But it was good. Service was highly mediocre. We had team servers as usual, but both seemed incredibly disinterested and distracted the entire time. We had to ask for bread, we had to ask for more water, they didn’t clear plates, and we were seated at a two person table, which has little room for additional plates are cutlery.

    A simply wonderful overall dining experience. Starting with great cocktails crafted by a true bartender (Scott) who had so much to offer followed by fantastic service from Tony and outstanding food quality. This experience sets the bar very high for any other restaurant to meet.

    Ristorante never disappoints! Every course was beautifully presented, represented the featured region, and absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Brodie, was knowledgeable, attentive, and displayed a great sense of humor. Milwaukee has many fabulous restaurants but we will always return to Ristorante Bartolotta!

    Each table is only about a foot away from another table. The host actually had to PULL OUT the table so one of us could get into the other seat because there isn’t enough room in between tables. My appetizer of octopus was inedible….soo hard and chewy. My husband actually spit his piece out after numerous times trying to chew and swallow it. The pasta course tasted like a microwaveable beef stroganoff. My sea bream had no flavor and my husbands beef was just okay. I got the cannoli and he got the tiramisu and we both didn’t finish our desserts and it certainly wasn’t because we weren’t hungry. High prices. Poor food, atmosphere. Total money grab!

    Everything was extremely salty. We’ve never had a green salad that was salty before, so that was very odd. The ragu pasta was the best on the menu, but that was over salted as well. The beef fillet was extremely tough and I could barely cut it with a steak knife. The caramel pudding had no caramel flavor. The wine was the best thing we ordered. Spent almost $300 on one of the worst meals we’ve ever eaten.

    It was “only” our 30th anniversary, but I told them in advance and I thought they could have done better than a wobbly table, a little close to another couple in a pretty empty restaurant (at that time - it filled up). The service was solid, food was good but not *exceptional*. I will go back but perhaps not for a special event.

    The menu tour of Naples was incredible. We highly recommend the city menu experience. So many options to individualize your meal. My husband and I chose different menu options so we could taste as much as possible. Everything was incredible from start to finish. The wait staff was appropriately attentive and able to assist with choices and pronunciation. The ambiance was beautiful and it was a wonderfully peaceful dining experience. Highly recommend this location!

    Absolutely wonderful & lovely! I gave it a 3 on service due to major lack of attention to drinks, which is stunning because we had TWO waitresses! That said, we only saw the initial waitress maybe twice, opportunity for improvement. We were not asked what we wanted for cocktails, we had to ask. We were not offered a wine list, we had to ask for it not once, but TWICE! Then when my husbands cocktail was empty for 10 minutes, we had to ask for another. Finally, our sparkling water was empty and we were never offered another bottle. Sad considering we had TWO waitresses assigned to us. That said, we’ll come back time & time again because overall the rest of service was fabulous, our “main waitress/food waitress” was efficient & great, food amazing, everyone was kind & thoughtful, atmosphere perfect, quiet, relaxing. Our new goal is to come monthly :-)
