The food tasted incredible. A little on the pricey side but it was to be expected after looking at the menu before booking. The service was quick. We sat out on the terrace which seemed quieter than sitting inside which was nice. One thing that happened and cannot be blamed on the restaurant was a man who was clearly on something came yelling down the street, went into the restaurant and caused a scene who then came back outside where the terrace was still yelling and running into traffic - wasn’t expecting a show with supper. He then came back and proceeded to try jumping the terrace to get to us which absolutely terrified me. He was taken down and later detained by the police. All this is not to say anything negative about the restaurant because after this happened the manager came out and was the one to call the police and stayed outside until they arrived, what felt like he was protecting us from further potential advances. Once the police arrived, their siren lights were too bright in our eyes just as our food arrived which was a little bothersome but again the manager had our best interest in mind and asked the police to turn off their lights for us which I really appreciated. All in all it was amazing food that I would go back for and knowing that they have a manager who would do such a thing really warmed my heart. Just expect the unexpected at this busy intersection.

We had a marvelous experience at Donato. 4 of us selected different entrees and main meal and everyone was impressed with the quality. The deserts were also quite exceptional.

Pasta came to us cold. Waiter never checked to see if are meal was ok. Very expensive for what you get. Beware don’t expect to get warm meal. So over priced

Food quality is excellent and delicious. Service was great. Good wine list with good variety of prices. We had an Italian red private import which was very good. Overall, prices are high but they deliver on quality and service.

Excellent value for the luncheon menu. Perhaps the portions were slightly smaller than the last time I was there but certainly ample and very high quality. Glad to have it in the neighbourhood!

A cozy and heartwarming ambiance perfect for date night. The service is great and attentive. The octopus was a tad bit to overcooked but still delicious. The Burrata is available and a delight! We had an lovely experience. I recommend to all fans of good wine, cuisine and serene chic modern atmosphere. Overall experience 4.6

My 1st time at Donato. It did not disappoint. Took the special, zucchini flowers and jumbo shrimp tagliatelle. Go try it it was excellent, it can be a pricy restaurant but fresh, excellent presentation so I would say it is worth every penny. MM

Nourriture bonne mais n’égale pas son prix, pour ce qui est du service vraiment plutôt déçu sur ce point la. Nous nous sommes faites servir en anglais à multiple reprise tant dit que nous répondions en français dès le début. De plus, plusieurs tables arrivées après nous fût débarrasser et ils ont pus payer leurs additions avant même qu’on ce fasse débarrasser. Donc nourriture bonne mais niveau service plutôt décevant pour notre cas.

I had put a note that they obviously didn’t read or forgot, that would it was my birthday. The issue I had is that the food took very long to arrive. We had a late seating at 9 so not sure why that was. Overall I was very happy and the truffle fries are the bomb.

Nice restaurant to go to for sure . this restaurant is obviously aiming at a specific caliber of people. The food is good and ambience is nice . Not everyone can afford their prices . The only thing I would change in their plates is the quantity. I don't mind paying $30.00 plus tip and taxes for a plate of pasta , just don't make it an appetizer portion. tks

We are regulars at Donato as it's one of our favourite restaurants. Great wine choices and food. The veal chop is excellent as well as the filet mignonette and also the shrimps with the saffron risotto. Can't forget the truffle fries!! Olive oil cake for dessert is a must! The fennel salad is our favourite as well. Lol

It was my first time at Donato and I will definitely go back soon. The service was great and the food was delicious. We tried the pizza that was very good and then Branzino fish that I enjoyed very much. I want to try their pasta next time!

Really excellent experience, relaxed on terrace (and quieter than inside). Burrata was first rate and pasta dishes excellent, especially the pea ravioli which was fresh and flavorful, followed by a crazy rich chocolate terrine. We will definitely be back - one of the best dining experience in ages.
