The online description of the restaurant was very appealing and our dinner there did not disappoint. It was a week night and not crowded at an early hour, so we could easily have a conversation. The food was excellent - we had caesar salad and each ordered pizzas. The crust was delightfully thin and crisp and the choice of toppings was great. I had the artichoke pizza and it was delicious. Our server was attentive throughout without hovering--it was just right. All of this for a very reasonable cost--I will be back and will recommend it to others.
Great food and great prices. This place is a hidden gem!!
First time last week dining at this little place. I love cozy, intimate restaurants, so I enjoyed it. Food was not as good as my friend said. I ordered the Octopus Carpaccio, and it was bland (I had better at other places). I was recommended to order the gorgonzola and pear pizza..yes, sounded delicious, as I love all those ingredients, but was very disappointed in the quality. Again, it tasted plain. Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff. Would I go back, probably not the top of my list, unless my friends wanted to go back.
Very tasty food (mushroom and truffle pasta especially) and all great prices!
The food and service was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try the pizzas! Such a cute little spot.
Excellent food, service and ambience. We have been here several times and it is rapidly becoming a favourite with us and our family members who join us for special occasions. It is a local gem on King Street West.
Our server was incredibly rude! Food was okay, but the service we received was simply Awful!
Delicious meal! Loved the atmosphere of this small restaurant. Decor is perfect. Service was excellent. We had the spaghetti with meatballs and will definitely be going back to have it again. We accepted the daily special for dessert and were not disappointed. This place is a must. We have already planned our next dinner here! Gio was amazing!
Homemade taste is obvious in each bite. Great for a romantic night out.
Average food, lousy pasta presentation, Pizza with lack of salt had no flavour, seating was uncomfortable and cramped. Overall experience was just average.
Food, service and atmosphere were great. Would recommend. Only compliant was when ordering a bottle of wine - instead of getting wine glasses we received small hard liquor type glasses. Otherwise great dinner spot!
Amazing food, even better service - however our mains took quite a bit to come but the hospitality of the staff made up for it. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The wait staff are just wonderful - special mentions for Giovanni and Niko....food is delicious and atmosphere is smart casual fun!
Great food and company! We love every dining experience there!
Delicious food, great prices, wonderful service.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommended to anyone who loves authentic Italian food.
Excellent service and food as always. Ristorante Rosina is our go to place for Italian food in the city.
Service was great. Food was great. Experience was great. Recommend the calabrese pizza. It was...amazing!
Amazing! As per usual!! We love everything about this place!
Penne calabresse was tasty, great wines, and lovely aesthetics
Great Intalian food in a warm atmosphere. It was a special pleasure to meet Rosina herself!
Amazing food, great service and value. A hidden gem on King West.
I love this local restaurant! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly and intimate. My only negative feedback is that during both visits so far, whoever the server happens to be, we are always watched, rushed to order and to eat fast as someone is hovering to grab the plate or glass the second it’s empty. I will still try again since I think this neighbourhood gem is worth supporting.
Great ingredients and an obvious respect for what they deliver to a recipe spawn the best emotional response that I have had to Italian food outside of Italy. The service was also flawless. Can’t wait to return!!
Some friends and I were looking for a new Italian restaurant to eat at and we found Ristorante Rosina on open table and decided to give it a try - i’m so glad we did! The staff were very friendly and professional, an we were even greeted by Rosina, the owners grandmother, who hand makes everything in house. Food was delicious and well priced, in a great atmosphere! This small restaurant is my new favourite!! We will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and family, I can’t wait to return!
Excellent food! Felt a little rushed as I was asked what I wanted to drink as I was taking my coat off but fun evening and great neighbourhood find. Management needs to understand that as much as turning tables is important, you are also offering the experience of dining therefore, it doesn’t need to be that rushed. Table of very loud young girls was annoying but that is not the restaurant’s fault.
Having booked for an anniversary meal with my wife, we were given a very cramped table next the entrance. We asked to be moved and were eventually moved to a much better table.
Having said that, we really enjoyed our meal. Rosina's gave us glasses of prosecco to start. The carpaccio, spaghetti alla carbonara and lasagna were outstanding.
We will certainly be back.
Great spot for a weeknight dinner. My daughter found this place on instagram and the food tastes even better than the photos look. Our waitress was very kind (and very attractive). We'll be back!
Second time there and was great again! Try the warm olives to start!
Amazing food nice space and great servers!
I found this restaurant on Insta and the food looked so good we drove all the way from the northeast corner of York Region to try it out. It’s a tiny little place you’d miss driving by with the most amazing authentic Italian food! We were surprised to see that the prices were in line with the average chain restaurant we’d find in YR.
Everything was delicious and fresh. We ordered the arancini, Caesar salad, Pizza de Papa and Mushroom Tagliatelle. The salad was a tiny bit overdressed but so creamy with real shaved Parmagiano that it didn’t matter. The arancini was gooey inside with a crisp outside served with scrumptious marinara. Hubby’s pizza had a crisp thin crust but not so crispy it cuts your mouth. The toppings were delicious. My tagliatelle was rich and creamy with wine and garlic complimenting the earthy mushrooms.
The server was attentive but not distracting. The table next to us was very loud and the server mentioned that he’s had to tell tables to lower the volume before so noise is an issue. Not a place for quiet, romantic conversation. The dessert menu is very limited with only 3 choices so we skipped dessert. That’s the one thing I’d like to see them change.
We will definitely be back. I hope other diners will support this fledgling restaurant which opened up this summer. The value and authenticity made it a must-try destination.
Great pizza and excellent service. Nice alternative to Trattoria Tavertini.
Highly recommend the figs and prosciutto appetizer — so good! And the homemade meatballl appetizer was also a big hit. Penne Allan calabrese is really spicy but good. And the spaghetti all’s carbonara was excellent.
The food was delicious and made fresh to order. The service was excellent and the waiter paid attention that we were celebrating 2 birthdays. He brought out 2 cheese cakes with 2 candies. We will definitely be going back. A hidden gem on King W
Been here a few times and I’ll continue to go and recommend to anyone. Great food, great service and great prices!
Great meal. My boyfriend and I shared a gnocchi Gorgonzola and the dominico pizza. The pizza was great but a little salty. Would definitely go again!
Amazing food and service! Very reasonably priced Italian fare! Will be going back for sure!!
My daughter and I came in on a Monday truly not expecting much, just a spot close enough to where she lives. I was in from out of town and had been to a few other Italian spots in Toronto during my trip. I really disliked Cibo and was thinking this would be the same. I was so happy it wasn't! Our server gave us the best servive I've had in a long time even though she was the only server and the place was pretty busy for a Monday. She knew a lot about the wines and how to pair them with food and also made a great reccomendation for us to have sparkling water from Italy. Amazing buratta and calamari, great Calabrian food and I loved the decor, next time I'm in town we will be back.
Great food in a great very inviting space. Everything was great from food to service.
